  1. This will be a tight hard-fought game. The Pats* are going to come out and try to smash mouth the Bills. See if they are still in their tears and "can't play" stage. I suspect some big hits early, as the Bengals did, to see if the boys are up to the battle. No turnovers, run the ball and play physical.
  2. I am not giving in. I am not surrendering to hateful homocidal maniacs, generational blizzards, killer bomb cyclones, injury after injury, Damar incident. I refuse to give in and surrender. I will stand up and fight with pride and courage.
  3. My thoughts: Cinci was physical and fired up. The hurdling was an obvious attack on the Bills personality and Josh. Taron got buried, absolutely buried. Hendrickson tried to injure Josh and did so to some degree. James Cook and Stephan Diggs wanted to battle. Leslie would have made the adjustments, but we were in for a tough fight. Now we have two less of our already decimated secondary and mentally we are probably not ready to go. I know I am not. I have lost my rather substantial appetite to watch football. I can't see tuning in right quick.
  4. I think Gabe should have caught the TD pass in the first Miami game. Makes the l a W. I would like to see Gabe more urgent and focused. 2B or 3A.
  5. The pick that Tua threw to R. Douglas was similar to the pick that Josh threw to K. Gordon. Both QBs seem to misread the CB dropping back into double coverage in that zone. Throwing to McKittrick in double coverage cannot be a great idea very often.
  6. I think AJE has knocked down passes in each of the last two weeks as well?
  7. I don't think it is "sneaky" at all. I think it is glaring, and I don't think Gabe has had a good year and the fumble yesterday was bad.
  8. I tend to agree that if you are drafting later in the first round grabbing a Center/Guard is totally a totally acceptable practice.
  9. A bit random, but I remember the last draft where OL was, on the Community Board at least, a huge priority was after the 2005 season. I can't remember if it was Oklahoma or Oklahoma State - but that school had some highly rated draftable OL players. Their Bowl game was against LSU and I, and others, tuned in to scout the Oklahoma OL players as possible Bills draftees. As it turned out the LSU DLine totally dominated, and the Oklahoma team could do nothing on offense. During the April 06 draft the Bills drafted an LSU Defensive Lineman later in the draft. Wore 95 for the Bills for more than 10 years.
  10. I think that hubris is bad karma. I think the weather will affect both sides evenly. I think it will come down to solid fundamental football...assignments, tackling, catching the ball, blocking, hold onto the ball. Things like that.
  11. I think that Herbert is receiving more help from his playmakers and O-Line. Josh has not been great, but the rhythm is often interrupted by drops and holding penalties. The Bills offense is sputtering but it is an 11 man problem, not Josh's problem.
  12. I think that there is too much emphasis here on the weather, and not enough on football. The Miami Football team will be fine. This will be a close and competitive game. Back to Bills O-Line issues and avoiding mistakes. Catch the ball, hold onto the ball stuff like that.
  13. I think that the heavy investment in the Defensive Line is not only a key element of the McDermott Defensive theme (rotation) but also is a great strategy for these cold weather home games down the stretch. The way the D-Line played against the jersey b team was very encouraging. The strong line play in those elements played a part in the defensive stifling the opposition and I think we will see some of that again on Saturday.
  14. If all pro lano is out my curiosity will be to the snaps our 3rd round draft choice receives and how he performs in that game action.
  15. He is going to go into movies. Unless he wants the back up money.
  16. Eagles, Cowboys and Vikings are all very good teams. In Minnesota they think Justin Jefferson should be MVP.
  17. One at a time, pal. Jets next week, big game.
  18. Good day but the Bills have to control what they can control. And that is next week against the Jets. I did notice the Lions were rested and strong after their 10 days between games. Jets are tough. 1 at a time.
