  1. Good points, but my issue with “B” in particular, is that our remaining schedule is much, much tougher than it was in 2021 when we were 7-6 and were able to win out from there. As flawed as we are, I believe the Bills are better than at least a couple teams that will end up in the playoffs, but due to our schedule looking like a playoff gauntlet along with the injuries and inconsistencies on this team, I think we are going to miss out on playoffs this season.
  2. Listening to Beane presser right now, he deserves a lot of credit for pulling this one off. It sounds like Packers were not keen on moving Rasul Douglas, even on Monday the answer was "no", but Beane was persistent while exploring other options as well. At the end of the day, he got the job done.
  3. It’s all about matchups. We can’t really compare the Seahawks-Bengals game to our situation because their defense matched up better vs. the Bengals offense than ours does currently. Either we need to generate pressure from our interior DL and/or tighten up coverage against their quick and efficient passing game which is much easier said than done. So it seems to me pressure from DTs is the key to slowing down Burrow and the offense, but nothing we’ve seen post-Daquan Jones gives me any reason for optimism there. idk… hopefully we found something somewhere in that extra time we had to prepare for this game.
  4. he gave up a first for Diggs and almost always seems to trade up for higher first round picks
  5. Maybe he will be more effective on 3rd/4th and goal from the 1? (Even though that should be an Allen sneak every time to begin with)
  6. Well hes 5 years younger than Murray fwiw
  7. Von Miller didn’t even know his team’s record after yesterday. He seems so disassociated at times. Hope I am wrong, hope he is the right guy for this. We need it.
  8. Secondary continues to be the main issue. I hardly see contested catches at all anymore. When I watch almost every other game, I do. it's a problem, a big one. The Pats offense average 12 points per game coming into this contest and Mac Jones just threw 3 tds. Say what you want about Allen and the offense, yeah, the slow starts are an issue, but when you are protecting a 3 point lead with less than 2 mins left to play, you should be forcing Ot at WORST... we gave up a TD.
  9. “Anymore” ? Dude is 24 years old. Same age as Dalton Kincaid.
  10. Very interested to see whether he starts the week as LP or DNP at practice.
  11. I turned off my TV right after the 2 long Barkley runs in the second half and followed the game via CBS Game Tracker all the way up to Bills taking over on Giants 37 with 3-something to play on the clock because I felt confident it was game over. Then the next 3 plays happened and the missed FG, so I became convinced that me watching the game was causing bad luck, and I went back to Game Tracker. I would have been convinced that it was all my fault EXCEPT… admittedly I turned my TV back on for the last 2 plays of the game, and we won, so that was that.
  12. Remember when the Bills defense looked really good for the first 5 or 6 weeks of last season? That was pretty much the same defense we will see on Sunday, minus Matt Milano and Daquan, but plus Leonard Floyd, plus Hyde/Poyer (whether you're a fan of the 2023 versions or not), an improved Epenesa, Ed Oliver playing his best ball and an upgrade at LB from Edmunds to Bernard (surprise!). And Kaiir Elam made a few appearances and didn't look bad at all when he did. So maybe, as far as Elam goes, look at where he succeeded last year and try to build on that? Tre White coming back to form was really just a bonus because we had been living without him. Dane Jackson & Benford were the starters for the most part, and heck, Benford ended up getting hurt too. Ya know, I actually made myself feel a little bit better coming to this realization.
  13. I’ll go with Elam. A lot of people are treating last week as if it were his NFL debut. Let’s not forget, he was actually pretty dang good at times last year. Without Elam, Miami probably pulls off the most devastating playoff upset in Franchise history. He CAN play. Just gotta put it all together.
  14. Has to be a blowout, because if it is a close game we are in deep trouble. Bills don't win 1 score games. We either stomp our opponents or lose a close game. Feels like this trend has been going on for 3 years now 😆
  15. It seems every season and in every way, the Bills misfortune is emphasized by whatever the chiefs are doing. last year, Chris Jones gets them into the SB after we lose Von Miller who we added to be the piece that would get us into the SB. this year, their defense - fully healthy - looks incredible right after our elite defense is gutted in less than a 2 weeks span. I still have hope don’t get me wrong but come on man. They’re just so incredibly fortunate EVERY year. it’s amazing.. lol
  16. The funny thing about some people freaking out and expecting a loss after a loss is that Bills record after a loss since 2020 is something like 10-2. ”Oh but it’s different circumstances this time; we just lost White, Milano and Daquan!” yeah well it’s always something isn’t it. Remember week 1? If anything, we have been fortunate to face off against who we have coming off both losses this season. Hopefully this will be another get right and confidence building game like the Raiders. If our backups can do their jobs in McDermott’s defense it will bode very well for us going forward. Remember, NOBODY gave Bernard a shot either…… he might as well have been a backup LB starting for us going into the season in all of our eyes. Instead, he was an UPGRADE. I am not an X’s and O’s guy, but when I watch our defense, it seems more about being able to play your role than individual talent a lot of the time. Which means the overall scheme is more important than any one player, and I have a lot of faith in McDermott’s defense.
  17. I'd like Hardman too but doubt Jets are gonna make any trades with Bills.
  18. Given the fact both of these injuries were pretty much declared “season ending” on Sunday, the fact that it is Tuesday afternoon and we still don’t have a concrete answer is probably the best case scenario, weirdly enough. At this point, if by some miracle Milano could return in the post-season, I would trade that for a “win” against the Jags every single time. it is always about being healthy at the RIGHT time. I am not saying I am getting my hopes up, because I am not; every person with medical knowledge that has chimed in on both injuries have pretty confidently stated that they are out for year, but at the same time, McDermott is usually a straight shooter (on injuries) and the fact that he STILL hasn’t closed the door on a return this season for either player is at least something.
  19. Sherfield almost looks like a tight end 🤷🏻‍♂️
  20. Maybe one of the "silver linings" here is this defense is no stranger to playing without Milano. He does have a history of missing games unfortunately. And although he was definitely missed, we were still able to hang with our tougher opponents and usually win, as I recall. Same thing can be said for Tre White. We basically haven't had him for 2 years especially when you consider he was a shell of himself last season. Over the past 2 years, we only played with "good" Tre White for 2-3 games. So, I can talk myself into believing we can overcome these injuries, but the problem is it's only Week 5... who is to say there isn't more to come...
  21. I'm hearing AJ Klein time and Dorian Williams time ...why not T-Dot time? He actually played very well after filling in for Milano/Dorian...
  22. Seems like White/Benford were missed the most yesterday, simply because Elam had to start. That was easily the weak link of our defense. Everyone else actually played well for the most part, including the backups. This was actually encouraging for me (even if it sucks that our weak link was a former 1st round pick playing man coverage which was supposedly his thing)
  23. Because when the Chiefs do play the other “good” teams when it matters most, they usually end up winning those games. But the Chiefs also have a lot of other things going for them. Like the fact that they get the calls in critical moments when they need them, like their injuries being of the variety where the players end up returning later in the year and that they have one of the easiest schedules in the AFC (this season). We will probably be waiting another season for Mahomes to play his first EVER away playoff game (incredible)
  24. But there will always be that thought in the back of our minds, that even if we reel off a 6-7 game win streak after this, we are going to be in for a rude awakening when we are up against another top team with a lot of talent, and we lose mainly because we can no longer match their talent. And when this was a huge reason for our undoing last year, the fear feels very justified to many of us. it just flat out sucks to lose a season with Super Bowl aspirations because of - literally - bad luck. There will be more “highs of highs” this season, sure, but even in those moments we will know deep down that the team is deficient in areas that will hurt us when it matters most. I think a big time trade is the only thing that can turn our outlook around in that sense and I hope we explore every avenue to bring in a stud CB/OLB
