  1. I agree with this, and I imagine we would have got some guys back if we beat KC. This is a tough one for me. Yes, we were badly injured, etc, but we found a way to play well again, and down the stretch we were able to beat 3 teams that ended up in the playoffs. So, while I did believe Ravens would most likely beat whoever they ended up playing in the AFCCG, I also believe that Allen would have found a way to produce against that defense and it may have been close.
  2. No, but most people would have said the same thing about KC… Hopefully Ravens are dominant in the AFCCG. i know this game is all about matchups, but if the Ravens D shuts down Mahomes and does what we were unable to do (decent chance) then I’ll feel at least a little better because there will be a part of me that believes this Ravens team was on another level this season if that happens.
  3. Will be 40 in August. Decent chance I’m older than you? Shrug. Either way, far from being a child. Kinda wish I was. That would make things easier.
  4. Amazingly enough, this time, the Cook TD drop did not cost us 6. He has dropped 3 tds this year and this is the first time we ended up with 6 anyway. But we still lost
  5. I don't disagree. I just think, the day/night immediately following a season ending loss, I can't get to that point so soon, but to each their own. Give me about a month... then I'll be all about the off-season and the future.
  6. Been here since before Wide Right Part 1 (assuming this game is about to be labeled "Wide Right II") So no. And that's exactly why I feel the way I do. In fact, on a side note, I've been waiting since "The Comeback" for the Bills to be on the winning end of a classic game that gets its own name. We always lose those games. Makes it hard to "look forward" to the next year, among other things.
  7. I did too. But it didn't make it any easier. Because once again the bills found themselves in a great position to win.
  8. I hate to say it - because for 90% of the game the guy was the reason we were winning - but Allen NOT throwing to Diggs on 2nd and 9 is the play that is going to keep flashing in my head for the next month. Not Bass missing.
  9. Not sure if that makes it any better, but I am at the point where I don't believe we can ever beat KC in the playoffs, so it is feeling pretty pointless to me right now, and yet... I can't get out... I hate being a Bills fan lol.
  10. That is what I want to know. Who cares about the future right now? KC just ended our season for the 3rd time in 4 years. I mean... I can't even get myself to care about that right now. And it's going to take a while. I am amazed so many of you are able to do that - almost immediately - following a loss like this.
  11. Probably yes, considering all of these injuries seem short term. And that also assumes nobody else gets hurt against KC. Bills now know they can beat KC. They are 2-0 vs. KC since "13 seconds". They match up much better against KC than Cincinnati. Now, they need to do it when it matters most, in the playoffs. I can't even accept the idea of Bills losing to KC again. I hope the players feel the same way. It simply CAN'T HAPPEN AGAIN. For 3 of your last 4 seasons to end at the hands of KC??? It can't happen. I want ALLEN to be the one going up to Mahomes after the game saying "Amazing game bro. We are gonna keep on doing this for years!" or whatever BS Mahomes said to Allen after 13 seconds, and I want to see if Mahomes will show the same sportsmanship that Allen did, in that moment (bet he doesn't!)
  12. Is there a deadline for Taron to clear concussion protocol? Can this drag out till tomorrow morning?
  13. Funny I sometimes think about this too. I.e. one of the positives about using backups at this time of the season is that they’re fresh and don’t have the same wear and tear as starters have accumulated throughout the season. That’s why, when you have a guy like Elam, for instance, who is basically fresh and completely healthy and there isn’t much of a drop off in talent between him and the guy in front of him (imo) I sometimes wonder if it might not necessarily be a disadvantage. That said, I don’t think he even plays over Dane Jackson, but just an example.
  14. Interesting the KC d was able to completely shut down Achane, despite run D being the “weak link” of their defense. I don’t think I remember Achane getting shut down outside of that game. Kinda interesting because if I’m not mistaken there isn’t much difference between chiefs home and away records this year.
  15. I understand. Just thought that process technically qualified as “day to day” as well, since, it kind of is, even though it’s behind the scenes.
  16. I never see that happen with them. Have you? I agree that it should happen from time to time; every team goes through it once in a while, but they do not. And when someone does go down, they are back in a series or two. Rashee Rice went down against Miami and was back in a couple series. Meanwhile, Miami must have had at least 3-4 players go down during the game. On a side note, the fact that I found myself passionately rooting for Miami in that game was a realization of how deep my hatred for KC has become 😆 So admittedly, that factors into my bitterness on this subject, but either way, it remains a fact. Since Mahomes entered the league, I don't remember KC dealing with any "significant" injuries on their entire team in the playoffs except for Honey Badger. And the fact that it's just ONE GUY over 7 playoff runs is just.... 🤦‍♂️ forget it That is AWESOME news on Bernard. However, I did not see Taron Johnson on that list. Wouldn't he technically be day-to-day, as well? Or did he not have a concussion?
  17. unless you’re KC. They are of course fully healthy at the right time (again). No injuries vs Miami. Just a minor scare to Rice.
  18. Aside from the punter… any updates on Benford? Spector?
  19. Wild card weekend is the only playoff round with Monday games, correct? I.e. no chance that divisional round between winner of Chiefs-dolphins and Bills-steelers would be played on Monday?
  20. everyone assumes the Steelers are a good run team because they suck at passing, when the reality is, for the vast majority of the year, they were bad at everything on offense.
  21. I think people believe it helps Steelers in the sense it keeps the game within striking distance. Remember all the games they won during the first half of the season despite being significantly outgained on offense? I am pretty sure they broke some type of record in the process (not the type of record you are proud of breaking). If a game is low scoring and teams are within 1 score of each other throughout the game, it is dangerous no matter which team is playing better than the other, and the Steelers were thriving on that earlier in the year - until it finally caught up to them - but it seems Rudolph has rejuvenated the entire offense. I just hope we can force the Steelers into a lot of 3rd and long situations. If we can do that, and avoid them on our side, we will be fine.
  22. To be fair, most of us were in doubt as well, after the Eagles game 😆
  23. well this certainly makes me feel like it’s probably not serious (fingers crossed) It was definitely kind of interesting how Rasul was the only injured player (besides Dawkins who returned) that was never actually ruled “out”. This is great because he was the most important injured player by far. Followed by Dodson, but there’s a decent drop from Rasul to Dodson imo. Gabe I’m not even worried about hate to say it. Too many big moments this year where Allen bets on Davis and they just aren’t on the same page at all. All I know is I didn’t see that stuff happening once Davis checked out.
  24. I can’t speak for us fans in TBD, but whenever players say they don’t pay attention to what the media says, I generally don’t buy it. Because if that were the case, why do so many players love to play the disrespect card? I.e. “everyone wrote us off after week 1 vs jets” forgot who said that recently but it was one of our defenders, and whether or not that was true in the first place, the mere fact that is one of their first reactions is an indication to me that yes, they do care. And I’ll bet THEY care more than we do but I say if it makes them play better I am all for it. in fact, have them watch nothing but Nick Wright clips before the game. That’s what I’d do.
