  1. Would still love to see Hamler actually get a chance in a regular season game. I don’t know what the issue is here. He played well for the Broncos despite playing on one of the worst offenses in the NFL. His problem was staying healthy.
  2. Me: Yes Wife: No There are many conversations we probably should have had years ago and didn’t. This is one of them 😆 8 year old son plays flag football now. maybe this discussion will be revisited in high school if he’s still interested in playing.
  3. I think Steelers just took Harmon....
  4. No .... but we should try and trade up for him after Steelers take Shadeur....
  5. Would it be SO BAD to make a splash move and take Golden? He keeps slipping. Some consider best WR in the draft after Hunter. And Beane has been saying we need a field stretcher for years.
  6. I assumed all along that was something they would target to get Grant, but since Grant is gone.... seems less likely.
  7. I am surprised how many posts I had to go through before seeing Winfield’s name. I actually think Winfield was better than Clements too.
  8. Don't really understand the buzz about Cooper being "done". He might not be getting the separation he once did, but he was making catches that nobody else in our WR room could. Had a couple big time catches in the first KC game too.
  9. I don't think about it much anymore, but when I do, it still hurts as a huge missed opportunity. It really all comes down to, by the time Josh Allen retired, will that have been the closest we ever got to a Super Bowl? Hopefully not, but if it is, then yeah, it'll still suck to think about 10+ years later imo.
  10. I try to look at it this way... When we are somewhere between 4-2 and 6-0 after 6 games, getting these guys back is just going to feel like a bonus. Then again, hopefully the activation of Hoecht and/or Larry O. does not come at the expense of a younger DL that is doing well for us.
  11. No mention of Daequan Hardy? Was one of our standouts in pre-season last year. Former 6th round pick, like Benford. Maybe I’m missing something, but given the current situation, I am a little surprised he isn’t getting any consideration to at least compete for the CB2 job.
  12. Considering we didn't sign a CB and don't have a CB2 on the roster right now, I actually would have preferred keeping Elam and preparing him all off-season to be the starting corner opposite Benford instead of swapping a 5th and 6th round pick to get rid of him. This opinion may change if we sign a halfway decent CB with starting experience between now and the draft, but if we don't, does this force our hand into using our first round pick on a DB? Kind of looks like it right now. If that happens, they'd better get it right this time (and have a concrete backup plan if someone jumps in front of us and steals our target(s)). On a side note, I am still intrigued by Daequan Hardy. This dude is athletic and flashed in the pre-season last year. If Benford could develop into the player he has become, I wonder if Hardy has a shot as well? This would depend on whether the Bills are willing to give him a fair shot at competing for the job, of course. Remember a few years ago when we didn't have a starting LB after losing Edmunds? And everyone was CERTAIN that we were going to either sign his replacement in FA or draft him in the first couple of rounds. When neither of these things happened, nobody gave Terrell Bernard a chance. Nobody could believe the Bills were seriously planning to start this guy. But that's what happened, and it worked out. I realize Bernard was a 3rd and Hardy was a 6th (like Benford) but once again, the dude looked GOOD as a rookie and some of us believed he should make the final 53 man roster. Just makes me wonder...
  13. It's hard to look at this as a great success just because we got a 5th round pick for him. It seems too easily forgotten that before getting the 5th, we spent a 1st to get him. Also sad & unfortunate is the fact that AFTER the Elam pick in 2022 was probably the best we have ever seen from Beane in rounds 2-6. 2 James Cook 3 Terrel Bernard 5 Khalil Shaki 6 Christian Benford Remarkable. And it probably would have been McDuffie if the Chiefs didn't jump in front of us to snag him, resulting in the panicked Elam selection. ALWAYS THE CHIEFS FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. FA and draft are my favorite time of the year for sure. The season is generally too stressful. And I genuinely HATE watching Bills vs Chiefs playoff games (because I fully expect our impending doom as a traumatized Bills fan) Although I will admit the 2024 regular season was a lot of fun and relatively drama free. This was an exception.
  15. If you're not serious, this is a cruel joke.
  16. Never in my life did I think losing a receiver with 500 yards and 4 tds would ruin my vibe on day 1 of free agency, but here we are
  17. Surprised no mention of Josh Palmer but given the known options at WR right now, I wouldn't mind him. Good value.
  18. So they'll probably pickup a talented WR to fill the void while Rice & Worthy are out, and then when the playoffs come around, they will have that guy + Worthy and Rice, right on time, just like always. In other words, they could end up with a stronger WR room by the start of the 2026 playoffs because Rice and Worthy got arrested. ONLY the Chiefs can benefit from stuff like this.
  19. I’m not sure if a WR1 changes the outcome of the Chiefs game (and anyway our offense had seized momentum in the 2nd half until the refs botched the 4th and 1 call) but I’m positive Myles Garrett changes the outcome. We are literally back to where we were 3 years ago knowing we were an elite pass rusher away from taking the next step in the playoffs, and honestly, Von Miller was panning out until the ACL injury. Well, Myles Garrett is at least 3 times better and 4-5 years younger (I’m guessing) than Von was when we got him. So, it’s really a no brainer, but I also don’t think we will pull it off. Too much demand. He’s the best defender in the NFL…
  20. I mean... I just want to know how and why this "herd mentality" and Joe Marino discussion came up in a thread on James Cook posting about $15 mil on social media, but I have a feeling there is no good answer to that.
  21. Howie Roseman has received a lot of praise for his massive draft success in recent years, but it wasn't always that way. For a period of about 7 years, Roseman was heavily criticized for missing on several draft picks. So, what changed? There is a rumor that Roseman purchased an NFL Draft Bot a few years ago that takes every draft prospect and generates an aggregate rating based on individual ratings from the most highly regarded draft prospect analysts. When it is the Eagles turn to pick, NFL Draft Bot simply outputs the best available player (BPA) and that is who the Eagles and Roseman proceed to select. It isn't rocket science, people, it's NFL Draft Bot. Get 'er done, Beane! And stop listening to your QB for draft advice. That isn't rocket science, either.
  22. I'm not a Coleman fan, but if he had continued the trajectory he was on by mid-season, we wouldn't be complaining. That Poyer hit really threw him off course. We know one of the main differences between basketball players and football players is the former don't like to get hit. Maybe Coleman should've stuck with basketball.
  23. Or McConky. Don't care that "we already have a slot guy". Better than taking a guy that we can only throw jump balls to.
  24. AWESOME stat that I just realized. Apologies if anyone else already figured this one out. But the Chiefs are now 1-3 in playoff games immediately after beating the Bills. 2020 season: SB loss to Bucs 2021 season: AFCCG loss to Bengals 2024 season: SB loss to Eagles Who's cursed now!?!?! Pretty sure this is their ONLY 3 losses in the playoffs since 2020 also, right...?
  25. To be fair, I started this thread after day #2, but I’ve been updating the title each since then, as it remains active. It seems that many of us have moved on at this point, but the memory sticks around as just another missed opportunity to go along with the rest of them. This Super Bowl media week never helps though, because of all the Chiefs talk that goes on (and practically no mention of the Eagles). And this year in particular, everyone seems to be treating it as if they’ve won the game, before it has even been played. That makes me want to see them lose even more.
