For what its worth, MCdermott did not mention it in the presser, nor was he asked about it. His forced fumble was discussed. That was it.
-
While you aren't wrong, thinking like this would make me emotionally unstable too.
-
Mcdermott live now... let's see if anyone asks about it.
-
Would be interested to know who reported it as precautionary? Did you actually hear that or speculating?
-
Yeah, ***** thing is, he was able to rush today, which leads me to believe his wrist/hand was finally getting right. And our next 2 opponents include Burrow and Maye. If Bosa was able to rush, we'd need him there. Hopefully he didn't pull his hammy doing that little dance in the end zone. Didn't really notice him after that, now that I think of it 😂

Tweet came in 25 mins ago. Game has been over for what, 5 mins or so? Means it happened sometime before 25 mins ago. Pretty sure it happened before the last series or so, but not sure. Hope you're right though. Hopefully just a little tightness and playing it safe.

Depends. Grade 1? Grade 2? Grade 3? Hopefully it's false alarm / Grade 1.
-
When the heck did that happen? I was just telling my fam the best thing about this game was the fact I didn't see any Bills go down to injury during the game. And sure enough, the dude with the biggest play of the game is "questionable to return with hamstring" Huh ???? All I found:

Gabe Davis signed to the 53, Curtis Samuel placed on IR

His feet were always hurting. But he did a pretty good job at keeping them in-bounds, I'll give him that! Clutch 4th down catch in the back of the end zone in playoff game vs KC Clutch juggling sideline catch on the sideline a few weeks ago (the last catch he made as a Bill too, is this where he got hurt!?!?) -
Same reason we were favored by 5.5 at Houston. Made no sense that time either. Especially when you consider the fact they had only lost 2 home games so far this year, for a COMBINED 3 points. I mentioned it before the game too. Steelers/Bills should probably be even, given our injuries, away game, and the fact that both teams have been inconsistent. it's a coin flip. And I'm not saying he is the savior, but I hope Cooks plays. This is a must win.

Interesting. But I wonder if players coming off TNF and a few days extra rest are part of that statistic. If not, then Hairston seems to be trending towards being the 4th this year.

I'm not sure what the concussion protocol entails, but I get a weird sense Dion Dawkins is going to struggle to get through it. With all due respect, his overall demeanor in post-game press conferences I've witnessed over the years has had me questioning whether he has a learning disability. Again, I do not mean any disrespect at all; just something I've picked up on. Could also be that he's just a unique dude and I'm completely wrong.

Can't go one week without a surprise addition to the injury report, I swear.

We hired McDermott and Beane at a time Buffalo had to be one of the least attractive jobs in the NFL. Fast forward 8-9 years into the Josh Allen era... I'm willing to bet there are highly qualified candidates willing to leave their jobs to get a chance at building around one of the NFL's Top 3 QBs in his prime. I would love to see what our options are, and I would hate to waste another season with - Another year of bad defense despite being led by a defensive minded HC - More assistant coach promotions from within - Missing on draft picks - At LEAST 1 more game lost because coaching blew it in high leverage situations - etc Can't have it anymore. We need to be leveraging the fact that these positions would be coveted by some of the best coaches and GMs in the country.
-
Does he play this week? Seems like Bills take forever to bring on new acquisitions during the season, but, we kinda need a spark on offense, which sounds weird to say being 2 weeks removed from Allen's 6 TD game. We might be putting too much into the situation while forgetting we approached the NFL's #1 defense with a ridiculously bad game plan on offense. That probably has more weight on the situation than anything else. Oh well.
-
Say what you want about Samuel, he's probably the best we got when it comes to getting 2 feet in-bounds in "gotta have it" moments (AFC championship game 4th down play last year, the juggling sideline catch a couple wks ago that I think he got hurt on, and I swear he's got one other too)
-
Steelers defense this season: - Allowed 32 points to the JETS(!!!) and Fields - Allowed 31 points to the Seahawks - Allowed 33 points to the Bengals (first meeting) - Allowed 35 points to the Packers - Allowed 25 points to the Chargers - Allowed 31 points to the Bears (last week) Or how about this: Have allowed 11 more points than the Bills D this season (compare that to the Texans who have allowed 70 less points than us)
-
At least a couple of those teams were dealing with mediocrity on defense though. If Allen can be the same Allen as past Novembers, and Joe Brady can come up with a half way decent game plan that gives this team a chance... there is hope. People forget... Allen had his worst game against the Texans last year... and the offense had its worst game against the Texans this year... Good news is, we don't have to play a defense like that again. Only the Eagles concern me in that regard. The Steelers defense has been allowing a lot of points this year and is nowhere near the level of Houston.

That's the thing. How CAN it be any worse? Bosa isn't getting home. It's legitimately difficult to have a lower pass rush rate than he has had over the past few games, which is why it seems more beneficial to let him sit for a few games. Now, if it were a situation where Bosa was playing well despite injury, THAT would make it a difficult decision, but that isn't the case here; he's completely ineffective right now. He isn't helping himself or the team. People talked about Spencer Brown playing for way too long against the Texans with one arm. Well, Bosa's essentially been doing the same thing... for 3 weeks and counting.
-
Absolutely!

Bring in Shaq and use more Epenesa in the meantime, sign/promote someone on the Practice Squad, hell, I don’t know, but it would be hard to do LESS than Bosa is doing right now, and that’s why I am proposing this. Bosa is an elite pass rusher when healthy. If we don’t have that, this team is 100% going nowhere in the playoffs (if we make it). I would rather not make the playoffs at all than get the 6th or 7th wild card seed and watch Bosa continue to rush with 1 hand. Perhaps the only silver lining in the latter is yet another year of playoffs without a pass rush might be the final straw for McBeane, and that is a good thing, even though it’ll be sad to see them go.
-
I don’t know that he has necessarily been solid though. With one arm, he’s basically another guy off the practice squad. May as well rest him at that point.
-
The point is Bosa is very, very clearly more effective when playing with 2 hands, which is to be expected. If it’s a situation where he can’t make anything worse by playing on it, that’s one thing, but I certainly hope that is the case. Otherwise, it would be silly not to let him sit out a bit, recover and return to the lineup able to contribute on the level he did up to the Chiefs game. Some of you act like this team has never made a poor decision before. We saw plenty of bad decisions by coaching in the Texans game alone. They’re “professionals” too. I guess we give our medical staff the benefit of the doubt. Poor judgement is a thing, even from professionals.
