  1. Absolutely!
  2. Bring in Shaq and use more Epenesa in the meantime, sign/promote someone on the Practice Squad, hell, I don’t know, but it would be hard to do LESS than Bosa is doing right now, and that’s why I am proposing this. Bosa is an elite pass rusher when healthy. If we don’t have that, this team is 100% going nowhere in the playoffs (if we make it). I would rather not make the playoffs at all than get the 6th or 7th wild card seed and watch Bosa continue to rush with 1 hand. Perhaps the only silver lining in the latter is yet another year of playoffs without a pass rush might be the final straw for McBeane, and that is a good thing, even though it’ll be sad to see them go.
  3. I don’t know that he has necessarily been solid though. With one arm, he’s basically another guy off the practice squad. May as well rest him at that point.
  4. The point is Bosa is very, very clearly more effective when playing with 2 hands, which is to be expected. If it’s a situation where he can’t make anything worse by playing on it, that’s one thing, but I certainly hope that is the case. Otherwise, it would be silly not to let him sit out a bit, recover and return to the lineup able to contribute on the level he did up to the Chiefs game. Some of you act like this team has never made a poor decision before. We saw plenty of bad decisions by coaching in the Texans game alone. They’re “professionals” too. I guess we give our medical staff the benefit of the doubt. Poor judgement is a thing, even from professionals.
  5. Because I didn’t bet on the Texans. i made a post on the board last week about how the Texans +5.5 is the play of the week (even if we won, Texans had only lost twice at home this season and it was by 1 and 2 points, to good teams). I felt the same way towards KC -2 (they were on a heater) and Bucs +5.5, so I was 0-2 when betting against the Bills this season. I mentioned how if it weren’t for the fact I wagered too much on those 2 lines, I would totally be in on Bucs +5.5 to keep the streak going and give us some good luck. So I apologized to Bills fans in advance and here we are. I am fine with “paying for Bills wins”, but my bank account, not so much. If I placed that bet, Gabe Davis gets 2 feet in bounds. I am so sorry.
  6. One of the most important things for the Bills to have a chance down the stretch requires that our pass rush is at LEAST capable of generating pressures again. Joey Bosa has been completely ineffective for 3 weeks due to his injured wrist. And Rousseau only seems to play well as a complementary pass rusher. Can someone explain to me how we are not better off letting Bosa sit out for 2-3 weeks and allow his wrist to heal a bit? If our best pass rusher is barely functional due to a bad wrist when the playoffs start, what's the point of making the playoffs at all? If we are going to have any chance, it would entail allowing our defense to get as healthy as possible. What am I missing? Unless this is a situation where a few weeks of rest won't do anything for Bosa's wrist, then I don't understand what we are doing here. He's not helping us in his current state.
  7. It’s actually insane to me that Colts have the best odds here. I’d put Pats in front of them and they didn’t even make the list. But considering how close these odds are it might as well be saying “one of these 5 teams will represent the AFC” which I’d agree with (if Colts were replaced with Pats). Daniel Jones is not going to a Super Bowl. Silver lining: After watching some of the All-22, I really don’t blame Allen for much that happened in the Texans game. He did as much as he possibly could given the situation. NOBODY WAS OPEN!!! And the silver lining in that is, yeah, our WRs kinda suck, but nobody left on our schedule is capable of shutting them down the way the Texans defense did except for the Eagles and, we can afford to lose that game as long as we take care of the games we should win from now on (including the next one).
  8. I agree. In fact, each time Allen has targeted Gabe Davis thus far, it's evident they have chemistry that he does not have with most of his other WRs.
  9. Yeah that one hurt. Would have kept the chains moving and then some. Not sure what kinda space was in front of the intended target (believe that was Shakir?)
  10. Assuming he catches the ball in-bounds and the Bills punch it in for a TD... That would HAVE to rank at or near the top of Allen's most memorable game winning drives, right?? That catch happens and a lot of the narratives today are flat out erased and/or minimized because the dominating narrative would be stuff like "no matter how ugly it is, the Bills will always have a chance because they have Josh Allen" I don't typically agree with stuff that Dion Dawkins says, but he was right when he said "it's a game of inches" and mentioned the Davis play. I realize this is another hindsight post, but it has always been fascinating to me, how such small margins will dictate perception and outlook. If the Bills win, the Bills defense is still poor and decimated by injuries, the offense is still an inconsistent mess, and yet, you wouldn't be hearing nearly as much about it... if Gabe Davis got a second foot in-bounds. For me, personally, that play is the first thing that comes to mind when I reflect on last night's game. What an unfortunate wasted opportunity. That truly would have made this another one of Allen's memorable moments and it would have made that 4th and 27 conversion even more special.
  11. The attention Dion Dawkins got via Josh Allen winning MVP seems to have him in his own world
  12. I blame it on Gabe Davis and his second foot. If he catches that pass in bounds, suddenly you have one of the most unbelievable and spectacular game winning drives in Josh Allen’s career, and this entire narrative never happens… Least not this week. Ugh… seriously though, when I think about this game, I flash back to that one play. That was the opportunity right there. As Dawkins said afterwards “game of inches”
  13. Yes, it obviously does, but Diggs also went out of his way to make sure they were ready to go from day one. And I believe that's part of making Allen comfortable looking his way too. I believe Palmer is more talented than people give him credit for. And, for what it's worth, even though he's never been a "star" receiver, he was still more productive with the Chargers than Bills.
  14. True... but of all our WRs... Palmer is likely the best route runner with decent ability to separate. There have been a lot of instances this season in which Palmer has been open, but Allen isn't looking his way and/or just doesn't throw to him. Not sure if it's the lack of chemistry and reps playing together or what. Allen definitely seems like the type of QB that needs time to build trust and chemistry with his receivers. I think Shakir is a good example of that. Diggs hit the ground running and the connection with Allen was there from Day 1, but I remember hearing about how Diggs was always talking to Allen during his first off-season with the Bills and working extra hard to develop chemistry, so that obviously helps.
  15. As far as the shoulda woulda stuff... The offensive PI on 4th and 6... Despite everything, that sure looked like defensive PI to me. One of our receivers is tackled in the middle of the field during his route. Even the Texans seemed to be convinced that flag was going to be on them. Surprised this isn't getting any attention given all the things that have.
  16. Watching the Bills is a little easier for me this season because I don't have realistic expectations. As far as fun, that's an interesting question, because for me personally, the experience of watching a Bills game - especially a close game - is often defined by how it ends, despite everything that transpired previously in the game. In this case, if Gabe is able to get a 2nd foot in bounds, that final Bills drive instantly becomes one of the Top 5 game winning drive in Allen's career for me, maybe even Top 3, considering the 4th and 27 play. So... yeah... that would have been "fun" I think. And a great memory with the Allen to Gabe connection returning. Now, I would NOT have realistic expectations for the team even if we did win, but it would have been an AWESOME ending to the game. Make no mistake.
  17. He also let us all know in his previous post game presser that he embraces imperfection and cool with making mistakes here and there because hey it’s normal; it happens! Rather at least hear him say something like “I need to work on pre-snap penalties going forward” knowing he seems to be leading the OL in those flags this season. The irony of him calling out Coleman last week after saying that stuff wasn’t lost on me.
  18. Allen and Cook and Bishop Think he saved a couple TDs ... did not matter in the end tho lol
  19. Didn't Mills start 1 for 8? Makes this all even worse.
  20. A few weeks ago, I thought KC -2 was easy money. I thought they'd win. Last week, I thought, TB +5.5 was easy money. I thought we'd win, but by less than 5.5, In my defense, that did look like a game that would be decided by less than 5.5 points the entire time. I mean... 9 LEAD CHANGES!!! So the Bills are now 2-0 when I bet against them, and once again, I think our opponent at +5.5 is the better bet. Again, I think we win, but by less. Houston has an elite defense, and their 2 home losses this season were decided by 3 (to the Broncos) and 1 (to the Bucs). That said, I'm sorry Bills Mafia, because as good as it feels to be part of the reason the Bills are winning every time I bet against them, my bank account does not agree.
  21. Indeed. Josh was joking around about how he "felt bad" for throwing it a little too hard on the 1st or 2nd and goal dropped pass (forgot which down it was). And I'm thinking to myself, well it's not like he didn't catch one just like that a couple plays earlier 😂 That one was a laser too. Between the two, that 4th down was a MUST HAVE. No second chances on that one.
  22. As ridiculous as I know this sounds, I genuinely believe the Bills allowed Allen to have too much input on the WR he wanted to target from this draft class, and I do believe he (Allen) asked for Keon, and this had been reported previously as many of us already know. In the season prior to drafting Keon, we had an ongoing issue with receivers that could NOT make contested catches. This issue ended up being the reason at least a few of Allen's INTs happened; they were contested situations where the other team's DB "won" the ball from our WRs. There were also a couple deep shots in the playoffs where our WRs - including Diggs - failed to come down with the ball and this likely resulted in the notion that our offense needed a WR that can make contested catches, and unfortunately, that led to Allen and/or the Bills honing in a little too much on Coleman, the WR from the class that was all about the "contest catch" trait. The weird thing about the Bills suddenly becoming hyper-focused on acquiring a receiver that could make contested catches is that it wasn't really a "thing" that our offense had a "problem" with prior to the 2023 season, in the first place. But unfortunately, since it was a theme in our most recent season, it became a focal point, when arguably other things should have been instead... A couple other things come to mind, like if the Bills were purposeful in seeking out the "anti-Diggs" receiver as if to prove a point or something after releasing Diggs. To prove to everyone "See Diggs could never do this for us". Well, too bad we have more memories of Coleman flailing his arms in the air than doing that which he was drafted to do. (But if we were going for the "anti-Diggs" I would have much preferred the field stretcher anti-Diggs with 4.3 or better speed. Forget the contested catches, THE DEEP THREAT is what has been missing Allen's entire career). Bottom line though. The pick was always a mistake. We're just getting the "worst case scenario" of it, it seems.
  23. I think its a big part of the reason the Bills coaching staff has emphasized taking control of the game and building an early lead, particularly coming out of the bye, because of the obvious fact that if you're playing with a big enough lead, your opponent's running game is not much of a factor. Rico Dowdle would have gone off on us a couple weeks ago if it were a close enough game, for instance. And it's not like we stopped him either. Think he still averaged around 5 YPC, but once the game was a blowout he became a non-factor.
  24. I was looking at Irving's rushing stats this year. They actually aren't great at all. I think he poses more of a threat as a receiver than anything else. That said, I hope he does sit out, and not to be a dick, but if they put him out there too early, he deserves the same fate as Mike Evans. Irving was not supposed to return this week. Too risky. Bucs would stay in first even with an L. If they rush him out there and something happens, they deserve those consequences, especially after Mike Evans.
