Aside from the punter… any updates on Benford? Spector? -
Game Postponed! - To be played Monday at 4:30pm
ShakAttack replied to phypon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wild card weekend is the only playoff round with Monday games, correct? I.e. no chance that divisional round between winner of Chiefs-dolphins and Bills-steelers would be played on Monday? -

everyone assumes the Steelers are a good run team because they suck at passing, when the reality is, for the vast majority of the year, they were bad at everything on offense. -

I think people believe it helps Steelers in the sense it keeps the game within striking distance. Remember all the games they won during the first half of the season despite being significantly outgained on offense? I am pretty sure they broke some type of record in the process (not the type of record you are proud of breaking). If a game is low scoring and teams are within 1 score of each other throughout the game, it is dangerous no matter which team is playing better than the other, and the Steelers were thriving on that earlier in the year - until it finally caught up to them - but it seems Rudolph has rejuvenated the entire offense. I just hope we can force the Steelers into a lot of 3rd and long situations. If we can do that, and avoid them on our side, we will be fine. -
To be fair, most of us were in doubt as well, after the Eagles game 😆

The Secondary after losing Douglas for the game
ShakAttack replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall
well this certainly makes me feel like it’s probably not serious (fingers crossed) It was definitely kind of interesting how Rasul was the only injured player (besides Dawkins who returned) that was never actually ruled “out”. This is great because he was the most important injured player by far. Followed by Dodson, but there’s a decent drop from Rasul to Dodson imo. Gabe I’m not even worried about hate to say it. Too many big moments this year where Allen bets on Davis and they just aren’t on the same page at all. All I know is I didn’t see that stuff happening once Davis checked out. -
I can’t speak for us fans in TBD, but whenever players say they don’t pay attention to what the media says, I generally don’t buy it. Because if that were the case, why do so many players love to play the disrespect card? I.e. “everyone wrote us off after week 1 vs jets” forgot who said that recently but it was one of our defenders, and whether or not that was true in the first place, the mere fact that is one of their first reactions is an indication to me that yes, they do care. And I’ll bet THEY care more than we do but I say if it makes them play better I am all for it. in fact, have them watch nothing but Nick Wright clips before the game. That’s what I’d do.

and they helped us by losing to the Bengals in 2017 to end the drought. Can’t expect them to come through every time.

Bills at Dolphins: Thursday injury reports
ShakAttack replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t care how many of those guys on Miami end up playing. It doesn’t change the fact that they are hurting a LOT more than us. No excuses. if we can’t beat a Miami team that is more beat up than they have been all season, then it was never meant to be.- 92 replies

I was looking for that too. Don’t think it would be my choice though.

I would like to know, of the 46% that said Bills win SB, how many of you were saying the same thing last year? The year before? 😆
-
I like how the anomalies are Miami. Dude always plays well against Miami. Home or away it seems.
-
if we win, Bills advance, Brady stays, Diggs has his best game in weeks if we lose, Bills miss playoffs, Brady is gone, Diggs has his annual year end sideline meltdown book it
-
Considering the Bills have always been effective on offense against Miami no matter the year or coordinator, and considering Miami does not have Jaelen Phillips or Bradley Chubb, I would probably agree with this. If the Bills offense is sputtering against Miami, and especially if we end up losing, I can’t imagine Brady is back next season as OC. I personally think our offense will come to play though. The thing is too, a lot of this falls on Josh Allen and his receivers. There is a combination of bad drops by receivers and bad misses by Allen lately, and that can’t happen on Sunday night. Especially in a game where we may HAVE to get off to a fast start like the last time we faced Miami. that is where I am mostly concerned. This offense is back to getting off to slow starts which cannot happen this week.

Most position groups are injured by this point in the season. The fact we have had zero injuries on the OL all season is incredible and it’s an automatic bonus when going up DLines every week that are no longer the same group that started the season. not trying to take anything away here, but if every team in the NFL still had their starters at OL, we probably aren’t 4th best in any OL ranking. Some teams have been shuffling their OL every week all season it seems. We probably won’t be this fortunate in the injury department next season (on offense) so I hope we can take advantage!

He must be listening to rap

The Bills are going to be the first team ever to lose in OT after getting the ball first and scoring a TD. Just watch.

I have learned to accept it by telling myself that if Josh Allen was any of our past QBs, most of those hits that cause him to flop would have legitimately brought him down anyway.

I used to think the 2021 Bills was our best shot at a Super bowl. I'm beginning to believe the 2023 Bills might be just as much, if not more-so of a better chance at the Super Bowl (also in part due to the current state of the AFC). And the funny thing is, with all of that, it's no guarantee that we even make it into the playoffs. Crazy. It is going to be way too much of a disappointment if we do not get in at this point. I don't think I'll be able to handle the "what ifs". Put it this way, we just outplayed 3 straight teams that will be in the playoffs already, and we are fighting to get in. But yes, to your point OP, I do appreciate Allen. And I remind myself of that frequently as a fan that was there for every game & every year of the 17-year drought.

NFL Week #15 - Cowboys at Bills pregame Thread

my son was born in 2017 as well 1/11/17 to be exact aka same day we hired McDermott which is part of the reason I selfishly did not want him fired -
It’s Dallas week and the Division is on the line!
ShakAttack replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
To be fair, he was really hard on himself about that decision during the post-game interview, knew he screwed up and owned it, so hopefully he won't make the same mistake twice. Then again, when it comes to making the same mistakes over and over, all I can think of is the Buffalo Bills defending Hail Marys. So... hopefully we aren't in a situation where we have to find out if he learned from that mistake or not. That's where I'm at. -

There were several consecutive years in which New England was notorious for covering the spread. It was like they could never be favored by enough, and bettors were putting big money on them every single week because of their ridiculous record ATS. I would imagine Vegas lost a lot overall on those bets, fwiw. -
I don't like this. Raiders and Bills have yet to win on the same week this season. That have, however, lost on the same week. Twice.
