  1. The issue is picking late. Picking at 27, Johnston, Addison, and Smith-Njigba are likely all gone. Would you rather have Jalin Hyatt or the other two I've listed?
  2. Even if they pay Thomas or Beckham on the cheap they can still bring in a RT in the offseason. If you sign a WR is free agency you have the freedom to go Guard in the 1st.
  3. This year and next year for sure. But this offseason they will need to pay Burrow, which means the 1st year of his large deal would start in 2024 and they also need to pay Jonah Williams, DJ Reader, Tyler Boyd, Chidobe Awuzie, and Tee Higgins in 2024. They will eventually run into the same issues the Chiefs and Bills currently have in paying people.
  4. The Bills can clear a lot of money by restructuring contracts this offseason, however if they want to trade for someone like DeAndre Hopkins or Brandin Cooks they will have to find someone to take on Ed Oliver's contract as well. We wont be able to keep Oliver and sign another big money wide receiver. That said, Michael Thomas just restructured his contract to make it easier for the Saints to move away from him in the offseason. If the Saints dont move him off their roster by March 17th they will owe him 32 million dollars next year, something I dont imagine they want to do. With Thomas and Beckham both coming off of injuries and playing very little the last two seasons it's possible they have to take a one year prove it deal, hypothetically something in the range of 7-8 million dollars, doable for the Bills. If we have to go the route of taking a chance on a gifted but tarnished wideout, which one would you prefer? If neither, what other option do you see for the Bills?
  5. He isnt a better regular season Quarterback. But its starting to get really hard to argue the kid isnt better in the playoffs. He is 5-5 in playoff games, and is one game away from being in his 2nd Super Bowl. When QBs are remembered long term, no one brings up their supporting casts at the top of the argument. By the end of next year we could be talking about Burrow being a better all around QB, but at the moment it goes Mahomes then Allen. Like it or not, the national narrative around Josh right now is whether he is the next Philip Rivers.
  6. Post of the year right here. Its nearly impossible to win a Super Bowl, the amount of randomness involved is pretty incredible. It took Andy Reid 20 years to win one, and no one should ever debate how great of a coach he is. McDermott has a better win percentage, playoff win percentage, and average win per year than Andy did in those 20 years leading up to his first Super Bowl win. Firing McDermott will do nothing expect start us back at the beginning.
  7. I hadnt heard they had Saturday off. Kind of inexcusable.
  8. Because Josh is a human and not a robot. If Diggs wants answers he needs to start by looking in the mirror and figuring out what he can do better. Thats how you lead. Not throwing tantrums and assuming everyone else is the issue.
  9. Anyone having an emotional outburst and being outwardly fed up with coaches is immature and self-centered, yes. You're putting your need to be emotional over the betterment of the entire team, which is self centered. Motivation and leadership may take many forms, but effective motivation and leadership is self sacrificing.
  10. Checked it out this morning as well. Cant trade or cut his contract. Hope he gets its together because he is clearly an emotionally immature and self centered guy.
  11. I think Beane has a longer leash than McDermott and will be here if/when a new coach comes in.
  12. Hes a member of the team, why wouldnt he be in the locker room? He has been in the facility for the last two weeks, its not like its the first time they've seen him since the injury. No different than Von, or any other player on IR being in the locker room.
  13. Had that same exact thought today. Problem is they will still need more help at wideout. Id be more than happy to move Diggs for Hopkins.
  14. How would it go over him if everytime he didnt get separation Josh decided to scream in his face? He is only focusing on the plays where Josh doesnt see him, he isnt keeping in mind the times he didn't keep up his end of the bargain. Said it yesterday, there were 52 guys on the roster yesterday who were hurt, and they all are competitive. The difference between those guys and Diggs is they dont think they are more important than the other 52 guys. How many guys in that building, including the coaches do you think like to lose? The team lost 4 of 18 games this year. Time to grow thicker skin and move on without pointing fingers. Every guy on that sideline could have done more to help win that football game, including #14.
  15. Going to be very interesting if Diggs doesnt show up.
  16. I mean they made it just as far as we did this year. So Id say we arent that different.
  17. Losing Franchise? They are far from a losing franchise. Also, I'd say Diggs is a lot more stuck with the Bills than any fan is.
  18. He's not Chris Jones because they play vastly different positions. DaQuan Jones is a space eating 1 technique and Chris Jones is a up field pass rusher who has played both 3 tech and Edge in the Chiefs defense.
  19. But he doesnt. So in totality, which is what people remember, Mahomes is better than Allen. I still think Josh is the 2nd best QB in the league, but he isnt as good as Mahomes, sorry.
  20. Bills can open up plenty of cap space by restructuring contracts. That said, they need to go get guards and wideouts. I am sick of paying defensive players.
  21. What does this have to do with the John Wawrow rumors?
  22. So drop everyone into coverage or bring the house but don't try exotic delayed blitzes that don't get there anyways.
  23. Critiquing the draft is one of the more impossible things to do when it comes to analysis in football. So many different variables, first and foremost the hit rate is incredibly low. Then, where did the team pick, who was available, and how much opportunity has the player received from the coaching staff. I think if you really go back and look at what Beane has done since 2018, I wouldnt say the drafting is below average.
  24. Agree with you here. Tackling has been putrid all season.
  25. Linebackers, Punter, Defensive Tackle, Running Backs were a push,
