I mean you have to win regular season games to get to the playoffs, and the more you win them the higher your seed is. So yes, I think it plays a large part in success. They've been in the final eight teams left 3 of the last 4 years. Everyone here vastly undersells how hard it is to get to and win a Super Bowl. The greatest player to ever play this game has been on the wrong side of that 16 of 23 years. If someone told you 30% success rate was elite at anything wouldn't you just look at them like they were missing a brain? Like it or not, this team has been successful in terms of what that word means in the NFL. I am not rushing to sign up for another drought, or changing for the sake of change.

Greg Cosell said it on OBL. The Bills offense is based in a state of chaos. There is no rhyme or reason to it. When the Bills were really cooking in 2020-2021 you saw an offense fully developed and a QB thriving in it. Right now, its snap the ball and hope Josh can do something with it after the play breaks down. They need some cohesion.

You had me until you said Cincy's WR crew isnt any better and may be worse than Buffalo's. Chase is just as good as Diggs, Higgins is light years better than Davis, McKenzie shouldnt even be spoken about in the same conversation as Boyd and Hurst is just as good as Knox. Burrow is working with a hell of a lot more than Josh.

I disagree with anyone saying we need to fire the coaches. They do need to fix the lines on both sides of the ball. But more than anything they need to figure out how to outscore everyone, because defense is just to finicky to count on. I am fine with them not resigning Poyer, and Edmunds. I am fine with them moving on from Ed Oliver. As long as that means a better Oline and Deandre Hopkins.

Gregory Rousseau is becoming elite
thenorthremembers replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
He had 5 in 7 games with him and 3 in 5 games without him. So, he actually had a better rate without him. Still trying to figure out how 8 sacks in 14 games is elite. Including a whopping 3 tackles and no sacks in two playoff games. Thats just me though. Meanwhile the lone elite player that had on their defense this year, who just happens to be a linebacker had 3 sacks in 2 playoff games. -
We would of won if we had a dome
thenorthremembers replied to Chicagobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
No we wouldnt have. The game would have been the exact same. The weather wasnt the issue. The Bills were shot. They had no fight in them once so ever. -
Yeah this is just stupid. They dont "have to go" because they arent going anywhere. They've made the playoffs in 5 of the 6 years, won a higher percentage of regular season games than any coach and GM combo in Bills history, and drafted a franchise QB. Pretty sure they arent going anywhere.

So...is it a rebuild or is it a try again?

They need a big time retool. The leaders on this team are going to look really different next year. -
Diggs vs. Josh: Sideline Disagreement?
thenorthremembers replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he does I hope they trade him to Houston. He is 1/53rd of a team. What has Stefon Diggs won in his time in the league to start demanding a new OC? GIve me a break. -
Diggs vs. Josh: Sideline Disagreement?
thenorthremembers replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs plays on an entire team of guys who have been close for 4 years now. He is no more pissed off than they are. They just didnt act like petulant children. Everyone on that sideline has worked for it and is hurting. He just made it about himself. -
Explain away but using a Hall of Fame Coaches name to draw a parallel to another coach in a manner of disrespect is not only asinine it also invalidates your argument.

Should Sean Payton get a phone call?
thenorthremembers replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont think there is any debate around that at all. Brees is a top ten Quarterback all time. Josh hasnt accomplished anything close to Brees. -
Post-game thoughts after a disappointing loss
thenorthremembers replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
My thoughts: Dorsey is not good offensive coordinator. Josh being so good off script saved his butt this year, but he has no imagination and because of that the Bills had no identity on offense this year beyond Josh willing them to victory. The Offensive and Defensive Lines are woeful and a real mirror on how well Brandon Beane is drafting and spending free agent money. Ed Oliver is on the hook for 10.5 million dollars next year, and he is a JAG. Feel like he should be a prime candidate to be moved in the offseason because the contract is way too much for his output. Outside of DaQuan Jones and Von Miller on the dline they have a bunch of replacement level players who were either drafted way too high, or paid way too much. I am not positive Tim Settle was ever even in shape this season. On the offensive line Saffold, Bates, and Brown all need to be replaced next year, and if Dawkins doesnt feel like getting in shape to help deal with his complete inability to handle outside rush moves he needs to be moved to RT. Wideouts and Tightends: Gabe Davis should be a part time player moving forward. Just way too inconsistent to be considered a #2 wideout in the league, at least on a team with Super Bowl aspirations. No way you ever consider giving him a second contract. That should be McKenzie's last game in a Bills uniform. Very glad they paid him around league minimum the last two years because thats exactly what he has earned. Too many drops, too many stupid plays. They should be first in line to try and bring in DeAndre Hopkins, and Id be glad to send Tre White the Cards way to help the deal move forward. Knox was overpaid plain and simple. It is what it is but he is an average tight end in the league nothing more. It's time to wipe the slate clean of older players on this team. Moving forward it needs to be Josh Allen's team because his talent has made up for a lot of bs on the team this year. Stop signing players to big deals on defensive unless they are responsible for getting to the QB. -
Should Sean Payton get a phone call?
thenorthremembers replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
So we are aware that Sean Payton only made it further than Sean McDermott once in his entire career right? He did that with a better QB than McDermott has right now, correct? Only 1 team can win the Super Bowl. It sucks, and I am not sure the Bills will ever win one. But changing for the sake of changing is weak. -
My favorites so far are he is in danger of being the next Marvin Lewis, the guy who never won a playoff game. Or stuck with Tony Dungy 2.0- The HOF, Super Bowl Winning Coach or just like Mike Tomlin the Super Bowl Winning Coach... My lord.

Franchise in trouble- Josh Allen has regressed
thenorthremembers replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem with the Bills and Allen, especially now that Daboll is gone, is so much of what the Bills do well is Josh playing off script. HIs best plays come once the play is over and the scrambling starts. It puts way too much pressure on the skill players and offensive and isnt sustainable. He is the second best QB in the league currently, but I wouldnt say he is anywhere close to Mahomes. He is in serious danger of having Philip Rivers career.
