  1. Watching his dunks in the celebrity basketball game last night I can verify this is real.
  2. Be a contestant on Jeopardy. Thats pretty much it.
  3. Very sad to see this one. Howard never knew the most intricate pieces of the sports he was covering, he wasn't diving into the analytics but man did he have the biggest heart. He understood the emotion of sports, and felt like a part of the family. I moved to Buffalo in 2001 and started listening to him while Empire was still on air. Since then I've moved back home, started my career, got married, and had children. A lot has changed but I never stopped listening to Howard. Well done Howard. Hope you enjoy a long retirement.
  4. I get that. Except they literally did press and podcasts saying the exact opposite when they restarted the league. It was their selling point as to why they were different than other upstart leagues.
  5. They have maple syrup, socks and sandles, and Gordon Lightfoot...they'll be fine.
  6. I thought they were going to focus on mixing older players with talented college players who had to choose JUCO for whatever reason. Thinking of Last Chance U type guys. Instead they are giving us USFL/XFL Veteran Luis Perez. Never thought they'd steal top recruits away from colleges but they totally abandoned their model. Should of hired Coach Prime to be the commissioner, he seems to know how to get top recruits to choose him.
  7. He was the ref in 3 of their games. Buffalo and KC were tied at 3 for the teams he ref'd the most this year. Take a look at the page below. Pretty eye opening how many penalties he called on Buffalo vs the teams they were playing in those three games. In the three games he ref'd for the Bills. Here is how he called the games Buffalo Penalties/Yrds-22/167 Opponent Penalties/Yrds- 8/54 Is it no wonder people think the NFL is scripted? Carl Cheffers 2022
  8. Frazier has literally been a head coach in the league so the premise that "conservative assistants almost never get considered for HC positions" is completely inaccurate. Frazier may not be the most dominant personality, but his defenses have averaged 9th in points allowed since he came to Buffalo. Fans need to stop letting their emotions get in the way of reality. Mcdermott and Frazier are both decent coaches, Mcdermott may be the best head coach the franchise has ever had. Are they as good as Andy Reid, no they are not. Their starting Quarterback is also not as good as Patrick Mahomes. Should we release him as well?
  9. When the XFL originally announced their comeback they said their operating model was going to be geared towards recruiting young players away from college, looking into transfer portals, trying to find promising players who had trouble with college eligibility or guys who wanted to make money to take care of their families while waiting for their NFL eligibility to begin. Similar to something like Overtime Elite in basketball. I was excited for that, I thought it was a fresh way to move into a new football league. Instead they ended up doing the same thing as every league before them, they drafted college and NFL washouts who have a very slim chance in making back to the league. I am less excited about the league starting up because of that. Hopefully they look back into developing their league as originally planned, and you'll see players drafted to the NFL through the XFL. I think thats the only way for one of these things to work.
  10. Mahomes is already in play as the 2nd best QB to ever play the game. Have no issue with the guy. That said, watching him throw to wide open receivers because he has one of the greatest offensive minds of all time drives me crazy. I feel like Brady carried Belichick. I feel like Mahomes and Reid may be the greatest Coach and QB combo of all time.
  11. Stapleton could have done both the National Anthem and half time show and I would have been a very happy man.
  12. You had me until you said underpaid. NFL referees make around 200,000 per season. Not bad for a part time gig.
  13. Does he get to bring Andy Reid with him? If not what's the point?
  14. If he is innocent I hope he gets the money. Too much of this madness going on. I have a corporate job and travel. I refuse to be alone with a woman who is not my wife anywhere.
  15. Have to imagine Reids kids are proud of him
  16. Regardless its a terrible call.
  17. Carl Fing Cheffers ladies and gentleman. Ball wasn't catchable
  18. Horrible horrible call.
  19. Andy Reid is a genius man. Makes if so easy on Mahomes
  20. Its amazing watching how dominant their line is. Hurts looks like he playing flag football
  21. His daughter. She is wacky as hell though.
  22. Diontae should concentrate more on not dropping the ball. He isn't good enough to get away with that sort of stuff.
  23. If Diggs wanted out he probably shouldnt have signed an extension just last offseason. This is the 2nd or 3rd thread already this offseason suggesting or hinting at a Diggs trade. I am going to say it loud for the people in the back "TO TRADE DIGGS THE BILLS HAVE TO EAT 12 MILLION DOLLARS IN CAP SPACE!" HIs contract doesnt allow a trade this offseason. Cash strapped teams dont eat 12 million dollars in salary cap space. If next year the BIlls want to trade the guy, and someone is looking for a 31 year old wideout who forced his way off two teams be my guest.
  24. The Hodgins success doesnt bother me in the least. He is a guy that took advantadge of the Giants' need for a wideout, someone had to catch the ball. Robert Foster had a similar season here in 2018 because he filled a need. On Daboll, I think he is a fantastic coach, but I think its highly debatable that McDermott had just as good a year as Daboll did. Especially considering the amount of crap he had to wade through to get this team to 13 wins. The grass isnt always greener.
