  1. When you're a physical freak you can make a decision to learn the nuances of the game and slowly replace your athleticism with intangibles, protect your body and have a long career. Or you rely solely on your athleticism, not protect your body, and have a short career. EIther the coaches around Cam didnt do a good enough job of teaching him the nuances, or Cam decided to not listen. Either way his career is over because he relied on being bigger and faster than everyone else on the field. I dont know how anyone could watch a guy throw 8 touchdowns in 15 games and think he is a viable starter. While he may be able to come in as a backup and win a few games with his legs, I dont think he provides enough in the locker room to warrant a shot. The guys net worth is somewhere around $100 Million so he doesnt need to play football. He can get back to those birthday parties he missed this year and stop being a martyr in the media.
  2. Likely defensive rookie of the year? Chase Young may have something to say about that. He wasn't even the most productive or best safety drafted this year. He was good this year, but Washington drafted a guy named Kamren Curl in the 7th round who outplayed Chinn. They drafted him because based on years of analysis by guys they pay very highly, Epenesa was the best football player on the board when they drafted.
  3. Agreed. From Beane's presser it seems like they want to get heavier along the line and Reddick doesnt fit that mold.
  4. Incredibly glad the Bills lost out on him. He got paid 7 million dollars to play on a foot that should have never been cleared medically.
  5. He was a ILB/OLB when he was drafted, and was moved to a situational edge rusher in a 3-4 because he couldnt play linebacker. He cant play 4-3 defensive end because he is 6'1 235. He offers nothing for the Bills.
  6. Miami is only the favorite because their coach just happens to be near the media this week. When I hear something like "Flores really wants Watson" I think well no s Sherlock, what coach in the NFL that doesnt have a top tier QB on their roster wouldnt? We will see how this plays out, but if I am Houston I want draft picks and someone I can start at QB next season. Miami has draft picks, and a QB who they didnt think enough of to let finish games he started. In my mind the Jets or 49ers are the favorites.
  7. He will be in the same boat as Belichick. Reid never won a super bowl without Mahomes, and Belichick never won one without Brady. To Cowherd's point the nod probably goes to Reid because Belichick has a winning percentage below Rex Ryan without Brady. Belichick was made by Brady and the media. Goes to show you how little difference there is between coaches in the NFL. The major difference is the guy behind center.
  8. Nicely done here. The Rasputin comparison is fantastic. Hopefully they get it together. Kind of praying they the Patriot ties will lead them to try and land Jimmy G in trading Watson to the 49ers. I wont be able to suffer Watson in the AFC East.
  9. I thought the idiocy was relegated to BoB. But with the Culley hire and now this, its obvious its a program wide thing.
  10. Adams as well. Pretty sure he went about it the same way. Twitter is a great tool for these guys
  11. The only hope I have in all of this is Nick Caserio. My hope is he is smart enough not to trade this guy in the AFC. I cannot believe how insanely stupid the Texans are with a no trade clause...my God man.
  12. I didnt realize he had a no trade clause, that was another stupid move by the Texans. People get upset about this stuff, because petulance shouldnt be rewarded. Then again, I am in the shrinking number of people that dont believe you give people whatever they want just because they want it. It sets a bad precedence for the rest of the league, and what you end up with is employees who think they run the show. Pretty soon the league will be unwatchable and insufferable because employees, on teams that sunk a ton of time and money into players will be forcing their ways off of said teams to play with their buddies in other cities. Why dont we just do away with the draft altogether and ask College kids where they want to play?
  13. This is exactly it. The NFL cannot allow their league to become what the NBA has become. The league is a complete joke. Sorry buddy, you can either play the contract you signed or you can go sit at home and not get paid. Otherwise I am sending your butt to Detroit, and if you choose not to go there once you've been traded, you can once again go home and sit on your butt.
  14. I think Houston is an incredibly stupid organization, but Watson looks like a complete loser in this deal. If I were Houston I wouldnt take anything less than 4 first round picks for the guy or two 1sts and an established veteran QB. Dolphins fans who think Tua factors into this at all are out of their mind, you have the guy for a year and dont want him, but think that another team that's never had him in their building thinks the kid is worthy of being in a trade for one the best quarterbacks in the league? No chance. And not for nothing, its going to cost the Texans 20 Million dollars just to trade him. Watson wants to be in New York thats obvious, but again if I am in Houston, I do not trade him in the AFC. That said there are only two teams I consider if I am the Texans and thats the Lions or the 49ers. I'd ask the Lions to give me Stafford and two first round picks or the 49ers to give me Jimmy G and two 1sts. Thats it, otherwise I tell Watson to go pound salt.
  15. Ill take NFL Head Coaches Who Were Fired Prior to their Contract Expiring for 2000 Alex.
  16. Ive looked at it a few times but cant put much weight on it until the draft and frew agency is over. Dont know who these teams are yet.
  17. Not keen on giving new contracts to oft injured players who are past their primes.
  18. This just came out a few hours ago from SI. Looks like some owners arent super keen on having to cut a bunch of players to make up for missing revenue. The Cap May Not Crash Afterall
  19. No clue. But given, McDermott's history with reporters, he better get it together.
  20. He isnt wrong. But he went a little far in saying "well he always says Iron Sharpens Iron" he got personal there. However, one guy is leading an NFL franchise and the other guy is on a podcast. Thats all you need to know. Except Beane knows how to manage the cap by restructuring contracts instead on taking massive cap hits. The Bills appear to be in cap trouble right now, but they release a few guys with low cap hits, and then restructure other players and they'll have 25-30 million in no time.
  21. Meng, coach was pissed at the outset there.
  22. Not happening. As secretive as these guys are, do you think they are hiring some outside jags to complete their staff? Not for nothing, they are running real life simulations in practice, why do they need Madden players again?
  23. He got half of his players to block. Feliciano got manhandled by 6'6 320 monster who may be the best DT in the league outside of Aaron Donald.
  24. I would take Carson here in a heartbeat. He is much faster than he gets credit for and is physical as hell.
