  1. I love the guy's story. I struggle with the exact same things you mentioned above. I am sure he still deals with things, because you can never be fully healed or perfect, its not how humans are built. That said, he's taken full responsibility for his mistakes, thats all you can really ask. I'll be cheering for him.
  2. Very glad he is back. You get your potential starting slot wideout, and kick returner for $4 million a year. Well done Beane
  3. Just be smart. Use free agnecy for its correct reason, to supplement. The Bills dont need to spend money or resources just to appease bored fans. Win the season not the off season.
  4. I think it would be a smart move on their part but I also realize they value him a lot more than I do. Dreading the day they give him a long term deal.
  5. Did I miss something on Edmunds? Checked into the board tonight and seems like there is lot of chatter about him. Personally think it would be a great idea to get out of paying him 12 million this year, and 14+ million a year if they re-up but seems like there is real conversation about it.
  6. You forgot to quote "sources"
  7. 100% sure they draft Punt Godand 86 this guy post June 1st.
  8. Very much a niche player. A 3rd down back who really wont bring you much in terms of blocking. His real role probably is a slot wideout, jet sweep specialist and kick returner. Would rather have McKenzie back in that role.
  9. My bad on this one. You're right, its speculation. But it is widely advertised speculation and not just from twitter nobodies. Draftnetwork had it speculated on Locked on Bills, and it was speculated locally as well. That said, the fact that the Bills didnt ask him to take a pay cut formally still doesnt move the needle for me. The only GMs who should even consider making a play for Beasley are teams squarely in Super Bowl contention this year, who also have a lot of cap space. That kind of makes his market very narrow. I just cant see anyone giving up a pick for the guy right now.
  10. Who is going to give up a pick for a 33 year old wideout on a one year $7 million dollar deal when it's already been advertised that the team he is on asked him to take a pay cut? Any GM with any common sense will wait for the Bills to release Beasley and save the pick and the money. Personally, I think Cole has lost a step, but I also think his current contract is right around where he should be paid. That said, a team would be stupid to give up a pick for the guy given his age.
  11. If I were him I'd be settling for a lot less now.
  12. So now this goes away quickly when he threatens to counter sue the accusers for defamation? Looks like he will be back.
  13. So this goes straight to civil court then?
  14. Can someone explain to me why we want to give up a 1st round pick for WR we will never be able to afford extending? Seems like a popular take on this board recently, just go and get DK Metcalf like he isnt going to be the first WR to ever get 30 million dollars a year next offseason.
  15. He may not take the paycut, but I still think releasing him and signing Blythe and Noteboom is still cutting off your nose to spite your face. Blythe is a replacement level player. While Noteboom does bring your something in terms of talent and versatility, he 's never been a full time starter in the league. I'd much rather keep Williams, even at his current salary, than cut him pre-June 1st, cost yourself 3.6 in dead cap, and have a competition between Noteboom and an unproven rookie. What I'd like to see the Bills do is work on keeping the offensive line unit they ended the year with in 2021. Dawkins, Bates, Morse, Williams, and Brown were humming at the end of the season, and Id much rather have continuity with them than cut Williams and try to replace him with unknowns.
  16. I disagree. He played poorly when asked to move over to tackle. But when he was in at guard he was one of the better olineman last year. He has been available every game for Buffalo since he signed here, has played both guard and tackle, and when he's played guard he has played very well. You don't cut a guy who is available and plays well, to replace him with a rookie, it doesnt make sense and you're asking for trouble. Does he need to restructure to a guard's salary yes, but he has been a good player for the team.
  17. Wouldnt be a fan of this. While Daryl Williams struggled at tackle last year, he played at a very high level at guard. To me he is a restructure candidate only, not a cut. You'd be cutting off your nose to spite your face. I cannot tell you how much I hate cutting a starter to draft his replacement. Makes so much more sense to keep the starter, draft his replacement, and then have them compete. Like the free agent signings. Hate the draft.
  18. To me he is maybe the 30th best TE in the league. Multiple that salary times .80 number of games started and it came out to 1.3 million. Guy is all potential.
  19. It depends how much 12 personnel they run, and if they see Engram as a potential slot WR, but from where I am standing the guy is a suspect blocker, doesnt have great hands, and has missed 20% of his games. I am all for the Bills taking a flyer on the guy, but I wouldnt spend more than 2 million to bring the guy in. I hope someone overpays so we dont have to find out, but no way I am paying my backup tight end more than Knox.
  20. Love them some Ole Miss tight ends.
  21. After what they owe him in dead cap, the Lions spent 6,938,438 million dollars a sack for this guy. This is a perfect example of why teams who win free agency continue to suck for years and years. Great job lions. You spent 72 million dollars on a guy who averaged 3.5 sacks a year. For contrast, the Lions paid Flowers 72 million over the last three years for a total of 10.5 sacks. While his time has come and gone, the Bills have paid Jerry Hughes 71 million dollars total in the last 9 years, he had 53 sacks in that time. What a mind numbingly bad signing for the Lions.
  22. Isnt Spiranac a beer?
  23. Going to be Neal unless someone trades up. One of the oldest stories in the book, can hear Kiper now "ya know the Jags got their franchise QB last year, he struggled, he struggled ok. But last year is last year. Urban Meyer...gone. Doug Pederson gets his big ugly to protect Lawrence here, gotta love this pick for the Jaguars"
  24. If wins arent a QB stat, why do the best QBs always have the most wins?
  25. Prayers for your family brother. Lifting this man up in prayers for healing.
