  1. I hope Beane is on the phone with his agent right now...
  2. The guy is like 1000 years old. He's probably going to retire.
  3. I don't think anybody is denying that there is an opportunity cost to moving up, but remember there is an opportunity cost to staying where you are as well. Ben Rothlesberger to Pittsburgh while we get JP Lossman. That was opportunity cost. On the other side of the coin, Aaron Rodgers to Green Bay was the cost of the trade for JP Lossman. That being said, there has been a HUGE opportunity cost to not getting our guy since Kelly left. People will only care about oppotunity cost if we don't get our guy, or if our guy busts. I bet there aren't many people talking about opportunity cost on the Eagles forums. I'm sure they are quite happy with Wentz. Same with the Falcons. They are probably happy with the opportunity cost for them to move up and get their WR. In a year like this, we almost have no choice but to move up. Especially with Tyrod gone and the top tier of QB's no longer available to us. Especially with our Cap situation.
  4. Notice that many of the failed QBs go to bad teams. It's almost like a pattern..... You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. If you need a QB you need to get one in this league.
  5. I have a feeling it will be McCarron when all is said and done. We want a guy that can push the Rookie, but has been in the league for a while. Make the kid earn the starting spot. Foles won't be moved until Wentz is good to go, and since he hasn't move yet, he is unlikely to move until TC IMO.
  6. If we wanted a trash QB we'd just start peterman.
  7. My thoughts are this: The bills have not won a playoff game since Jim Kelley was here. The bills have appeared in only a few playoff games since then. What is the common denominator? The fact that they have had only bridge QB's and have not seriously done what it takes to find Kelly's successor. We can't just keep signing these Journeyman type guys or crossing our fingers and hoping one drops to us. Move up and get our guy. If that doesn't work, keep doing it until we do. You need to actively create your own success in the NFL. Don't just sit there and try to let it fall into your lap. That's how we missed out on guys like Aaron Rodgers and Ben Rothlesberger.
  8. The fact that Foles is still on the Eagles Roster probably indicates that they are unsure about Wentz's condition moving into next season. I think he is more likely to be moved during training camp if at all at this point, unless there is a major improvement in Wentz's injury.
  9. The QBs for next year are flaming garbage. Not just bad. Missing this opportunity to take a shot at a great QB class would be a catastrophic failure on Beane's part, and likely would end up costing him his job in a year or so.
  10. Some idiot seriously made that suggestion on WGR when I was on my way home just now. The guy was just like ".....Why would they trade up to trade back down, it makes no sense..." and the caller goes "Getting a second first next year would be great and we can just sign a 2nd tier guy like Keenum for the next few years..." then got cut off as he was disconnected.
  11. Bradford is a much better QB than Taylor, if it wasn't for the fact that his knees are held together with bubblegum and paperclips at this point, he'd already be signed to a long term deal for either the rams or the eagles.
  12. Taking Allen at 1 would be the Brownziest thing they could possibly do.
  13. Maybe the amount of "buzz" you receive is directly correlated to the amount of inches above the ground stand?
  14. Honestly I don't think teams treat this any different then making trades before the league new year. They just don't make any noise about it in the event that a team gets salty that a player didn't want to stay in town and complains to the league, which is their right I guess.
  15. That may be true, but they can agree in principal and do everything but put pen to paper until that point. In fact I'm sure that teams and agents have been in contact since it became clear that the old team wasn't bringing them back. If the Agents don't put feelers out on day 1 they aren't doing their jobs.
  16. "I don't know, I don't think a 50 point margin was enough. That touchdown catch was two millimeters two far to the right. We were so bad there is no way we win more than 4 games next year!"
  17. Honestly, if the Browns take Barkley, which is seeming more and more likely, I can see it being the giants, because with barkley off the board, there really isn't anybody that is keeping the giants where they are.
  18. I call it yes. He was likely the best QB we have had on the roster since 1999.
  19. If we are taking a guy like Rosen or Mayfield, that are pretty close to being ready, I'm fine with Bradford. It's unlikely that he plays for more then 6 games and that gives us a few more weeks for our guy to sit on the bench and learn to be an NFL QB.
  20. Translation: "I'd like to retire but I don't wear the pants in my relationship with my wife so I need to wait for permission."
  21. They report this like the bills haven't been shopping him since last year's training camp.
