After the game, Jackson to Allen: 'Go win.'
Sweats replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
I watched a lot of Lamar when he was playing for Louisville and he's always been a solid act and a stand up guy. -
Trying to gain yards and work your way down the field for a game winning FG against a good D doesn't garner any parallels?!? Um, yeah........no.
-
............just like against the Texans? How'd that work out for us when the game was on the line, JA had to march down the field for a game winning FG and the suspect play calling? And you're confident that the Ravens who would not really let us get any air game going, were just going to let us prance our way down the field to win the game? I'm not so sure, but thankfully we didn't need to find out.

I think the KC game is where we need to open Cooper up, like i'm talking wide open........he hasn't done a whole lot for us since being here, so who would ever see it coming?
-
I just have flashbacks in the Texans game when we absolutely blew any chance of marching down the field with atrocious play calling.......i mean, Brady dialing up some really piss poor plays from our own endzone blew the game for us on that one. Would this Ravens game have been any different? If we didn't get a 1st down or work our way down the field at that point, we would probably have given the ball back to Baltimore and who knows what happens after that in the outcome.

So, Larry (our office Ravens fan) actually brought up a good point this morning....... Even if Andrews caught the 2-point conversion and tied the game, there was still 1:33 on the clock, which he believed the Bills would have had plenty of time to go down the field and score a FG to win the game anyways. I don't know, man........we weren't having a lot of success in large plays all game long, so the chances of the Ravens suddenly just allowing us to march down the field seems suspect. Thoughts?!?

He's the reason they almost made the perfect comeback and only coming within a 2 point conversion for the tie.

Boooooooo.........boo this man. Haven't you heard?!?........McD is on the hot seat, can't win the big one, has piss poor game management, doesn't know how a clock is used, etc. Yeah, color me confused.

I agree. We had the chance to put the game away in the 3rd right after halftime and we let the Ravens hang around. The biggest thing i saw was that even though the Ravens had 3 TO's, they were within a 2-point conversion of tying it up in the 4th. We should have been leading by at least 2 scores by then and at the point of just running the ball to chew up clock. We've got some things to clean up before the KC game cause they rarely turn the ball over. It'll be interesting.

That's true, however, from what i've seen all season is that Cook is the guy you want bouncing outside while Davis should be our straight-ahead downfield runner, so why in the world we're trying to run Cook up the gut on these play calls is friggin astounding. Yes, it works sometimes, however, the majority of the times, Cook is getting his yards on the edge and Davis chews up the middle yardage and if i've noticed it, chances are that NFL teams are watching it and making adjustments to suit. .........and Ty, well that dude is just a freak who can just about be put anywhere.

I want to win this one today so we can get that KC monkey off our backs

I actually even forgot it was my birthday this weekend (yes, that's how much this game is screwing me up) however, it looks like my favorite pizza is in order for this grand event (the game, not my birthday cause honestly, like who gives a **** about that when the Bills are going to throttle the Ravens).

When you look at the whole body of work between the two QB's over the past 7 years, it doesn't matter who wins, the loser will look like the QB who just can't get it done. True story right there.

Personally, this Ravens matchup is my "McDermott Game."
Sweats replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually do agree with the partial strategy of owning the TOP............milk the clock, methodically move the O down the field and give our D enough time to rest. With a little extra rest time for the D, i'm hoping they play a little tougher and with a little more energy especially in the 4th quarter where a well rested D can make or break outcomes. -
My answer was Egypt.................i was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy off.
-
I honestly feel bad for both QB's on this one...........either way, one of them will lose and will look like a chump that can't get over the hump in the divisional round. They will both be looked at as good, but just not good enough. That's your narrative right there.
-
The only correct answer here is Pancho Billa (god rest his soul)..........that guy lived and breathed and bled Buffalo Bills.

Alright, so not to nit pick, but i have a few concerns with your numbers here..... JA and LJ should both be sitting at 40 for QB. Their numbers are comparable, and both are the elite of the league right now. There's no way Stafford should be at 25 and Hurts at 30.......if anything, i would have them about equal or completely switched numbers altogether and considering Goff is at 31 and higher than both Stafford AND Hurts, when Goff is being made by his supporting cast is questionable..........Jesus, you've even got JD higher than Stafford. I don't know, man.........i really don't know.

Cowboys Set to Interview Leslie Frazier for HC role
Sweats replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wrong........they need to interview 2 candidates to satisfy the Rooney Rule before they choose elsewhere.
