Week 16: Sunday Games Around the League
freddyjj replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clearly not a lateral. Fumbled before 1st down marker and went backward. Unable to advance forward by other offensive player in last 2 mins of either half. -
Kumerow claimed by Saints (now Waived by Saints)

Already played for Pats. -
Thanks @Giuseppe Tognarellifor posting this. I am damn proud of this years Bills. And how they have taken the first 3/4 of the season to develop a team mentality and overcome all the challenges they faced this year to date (Covid-19, Zo retiring, Injuries to both starting LBs early on, Josh's shoulder, the Oline injuries, John Brown's injuries and no fans at games). McD has kept them laser focused. Like many fans, my first memory of a Bills games was not a pleasant one. It was listening to them lose to the Kansas City Chiefs on New Years Day 1967. The game was radio only I believe as I distinctly remember listening to the call on the radio in our kitchen. We were home against a team we had split the season series with - both teams had prevailed on the road. The winner of this game was going to the 1st World Championship game of AFL winner versus NFL winner. The Chiefs went instead and lost to the Packers. My hopes for the team never died even in the darkest seasons (1968, 1977, 1984-85, the drought years). Some corny slogans come to mind like the "The Bills are due in 72". Some great memories - "The Juice is on the loose", The Electric Company, The Bermuda Triangle, Talking Proud, the Levy/Kelly era. And now - the McBeane era and rise of the Bills Mafia. Glad to see the team not just be relevant but actually developing into a force in the league. Hoping for a great finish to a great year!

Chargers GM Tom Telesco is a fellow St Francis HS grad like Daboll. Just sayin...

AFC set to dominate NFC for next decade+?

Goff is 24th in QB Rating and 23rd in QBR. Nowhere near top 10 in league. Not even top 10 in NFC -
Is Terry Pegula a QB scouting genius?

Is Jake Kumerow a potential Tight End?

Believe his body is maxed out. Would need to add 40 lbs to be effective. -
@The WizI am too much of a gentleman to speak about their girlfriends that way

I'm pretty sure those Vineyard Vines wearin' , avacado toast eatin', kale smoothee drinkin' metrosexuals in Boston can't climb up anything anymore.

well us Bill fans know that, being Gilmore, it had to be a non-contact injury

Bills-Denver according to Kubiak: "diabolical"
freddyjj replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
might have been 1 year as Kubiak is 3 years older -
Theodore Bruschetta and Rodney 'Personal Foul" Harrison are two of the biggest Patriots shills on TV. Rodney was brought to NE to replace Lawyer Milloy after gaining a rep as one of the league's dirtiest players. As for Theodore Bruschetta he is a West Coast San Francisco native who likes avacado toast and Kale shakes. 'nuff said!

99.9% chance wk. 17 will matter to Bills

I don't know who he is but at this point he might be better than Big Ben...just sayin'! -
Bills-Denver according to Kubiak: "diabolical"

That makes sense to me. Both Kubiak and Daboll are St Francis HS grads - a few years apart -
Limited snaps. They could play him in 4 WR or empty sets to take deep safety away or force cover 2 man under coverage

They gave McD some tips 90 days into his tenure here. https://www.localsyr.com/nfl/nfl-buffalo/mcdermott-dines-with-bills-legends/ McD made it a point to meet with the 90's stalwarts for dinner when he took over to pick their brains about that team and "His purpose, according to one of the legends, was just trying to figure out what made those great teams tick." -
@Shaw66 another great summary my friend. I agree with your assessment that Josh is still on an ascending developmental path. In the short term getting John Brown back will be the next ratchet up - hopefully by the playoffs. Can Daboll get the RB / TE screen game going to combat the pressure packages Josh will likely see in playoffs? The Pats and Fins may be good tests in this regard as both teams have shown these pressure packages.

29th against run at 4.6 ypa and giving up 160 ypg last 3 weeks. Not too stout. Add in DB woes and they look beatable from here.

That is ingrained behavior to us long time BBFFs. This year I have tried to focus on matchups and because of that I think we win this week. They have street FAs playing at CB who will be asked to take away Diggs/Beasley and Davis. While they have great safeties who can help bracket, I can't see them being successful here. And they are susceptible to the running game. So hopefully Daboll will mix in some play action and let Josh take some shots.

Not so fast my friend. Bills play @ 4:30 SAT 4/19. Fins / Pats is SUN @1 pm.

For all Rochester bills fans, per the WHAM Newscast the game will not be broadcast over the air. NFL Network only? News to me
