Agree with all of this except Mahomes/Allen. We have the guy at QB. It's the fact the Chiefs are one step ahead of us everywhere else that's killing us. (plus we clearly haven't performed the blood sacrifice to get biased officiating) They had McDuffie and Watson (Stole McDuffie from us and hit on a later pick. We had Benford (who can't stay healthy), Elam who we settled for after losing McDuffie and is absolutely a bust at this point, and Douglas who we had to trade for last year that completely fell off at 30. They took Worthy, with our pick, while we took Coleman and then lamented all season about our lack of separation at WR as it was gravely evident in the Playoffs. Nevermind Reid/Spags coaching circles around McDermott, Babich and Brady.

DT, DE, WR Try to make a big swing for one of those positions in FA or Trade and then address the others in the Draft. Seems like there's some smoke for Maxx Crosby as even some Bills reporters have been mentioning his name. LB, CB, S are also needs, but ones we should be able to address in the middle rounds as Bernard, Milano & Williams will all be back at LB. Benford & Johnson in the CB room and Rapp/Bishop at Safety. Need to prepare for the potential of letting one or both of Bernard & Benford walk in '26 though.

It's up to Beane to hit this off-season with picks & some money in order to open the second window. We didn't break through in the first one with Hyde, Poyer, White, Diggs etc.. This was the "reset year". Next year begins the second 5-6 year window for Josh Allen.

1) Bring back Hollins and Johnson. 2) Extensions for Cook and Shakir. 3) Explore trades for a Pass Rusher. 4) Find Josh Allen an outside separator at WR to replace Cooper. 5) Bulk up the IDL. 6) Let Rousseau play out the 5th year option or offer in trade for Crosby/Garrett. Cut/Trade Elam. Bernard/Benford, play out final year and then evaluate after season. 7) Load up LB/CB/S depth/competition in Rounds 4-6.

Do you have faith that this organization can build a team that can take down the Chiefs (and potentially fend off Burrow/Bengals from time to time)? That's honestly all it comes down to at this point. You can tell me it's not, but I guarantee you in Josh Allen's mind, it is. If you're answer is yes, I'm open to hearing why. If no, then what are we doing? Risking a step back would be completely warranted if a step forward seems unattainable.

Yea.. I'm there on Pickens. (Provided Allen gives the approval) Don't like him as a person. Think he's a terrible teammate at times. Just not really in the mood to hear about team chemistry when none of Allen's bros make a play for him when needed. And unlike Pittsburgh, Allen has the status and the Bills locker room has the grounding, to integrate a player like him. I'm honestly just ready for a shake up. We know it won't be at HC, so anything that makes me feel like the season isn't just 18-21 weeks that ends in inevitable pain in the same fashion is welcome to me.

Ok, that helps explain his down year and lack of use. He still dropped the pass that effectively ended our season. I'm not going to go overboard about it, but its not "dumping on someone" to be frustrated that he couldn't make that play with our Super Bowl hopes on the line.

Imagine running a league where #boycottthesuperbowl is trending the day after your Championship Sunday with every fanbase complaining about the league being rigged.. Yet that's apparently what Goodell/The NFL want. Can't wait to see which Eagles defensive back gets a phantom game sealing penalty called on him against KC this time.. My money is on DeJean.

Any chance Vegas would take Rousseau and our 1st, maybe a 4th as well to get it over the finish line. I truly think Crosby has us as a team he'd like to play for and we desperately need a Josh Allen level dawg on that side of the ball in his prime. If it's at all possible, I'd make getting a guy like him here this offseason, bulking up the DT room, investing heavily in the back 7 with our mid-rounds picks and find Josh Allen an outside separator to replace Cooper.

Football fans will tune in, but this is the most dejected/frustrated I've seen the NFL fanbase as a whole in my life.

We can't pay guys simply because we screwed up and they're all we have. That seems to be the argument for D-Line Edmunds as well. This Defense needs a massive overhaul.. and there's not one person that I see as a must re-sign on that side of the ball.

Allen knows, in his heart of hearts, that the only difference between him and the man who has everything professionally that he wants, is the people around him. The coaches, the staff and the players. He's the perfect leader and teammate, but at some point, the anger & resentment will begin to set in. It's just natural. Allen won't, but he should ask for this organization to go in another direction. Worst case scenario is we have a Bengals type year.. but at least we tried something.

When discussing cap, a serious conversation should be had about who we resign, which will impact what we do this year in Free Agency and the Draft. Cook and Shakir are re-signs for me. They're both difference makers and they both step up when the lights shine bright. Rousseau and Bernard are maybe's, who I'm sure they'll probably re-sign, but I don't know. I'm iffy on the ROI with those two. It seems like more Knox/Oliver type paying good/not great players big money. Benford is a no for me. He hasn't made it through one playoff run healthy and he's not a ball hawk. Great cover corner, which if there is one thing I'm actually confident in McDermott in, it's to be able to find these type of guys. That money needs to go to the DL, which will in return, help our Secondary. Bills cap is only ok, even after this reset year, because we had to chase pass rush and sign an aging Von, along with tying up money in players that don't make a difference when it matters. At some point, we have to treat more guys like Edmunds and less like Oliver.

I can accept that, if it wasn't the excuse every year. At some point you have to figure it out and/or change philosophy on the players you bring in. I know the Benford concussion was bad luck, but this guy literally can't make it through a playoff run.

It's not even so much he "misses". He's had some.. Elam/Boogie, but those happen. It's that he keeps drafting guys high who are just "good". He has yet to be able to find anyone that is capable of making a consistent difference outside Josh Allen. In an effort to be fair, I'll give him Cook and Brown, but it's not enough. We go to war with Coleman's, Kincaid's, Oliver's and Rousseau's while the Chiefs have Worthy, Humphrey, Karlaftis & McDuffie to already go with the two cornerstones of their dynasty in Jones and Kelce.

They won't do it, but I'd be completely fine handing it over to Brady. A Defensive HC who needs everything to be perfect on his Defense to not be the main reason we can't make a Super Bowl with Josh Allen just doesn't make much sense to keep going with any longer. And postgame Josh Allen was the first time he looked like a guy who might not spend his entire prime career in Buffalo. I doubt he leaves, but that 5% chance he could want out, is real to me now. He looked different.. that wasn't aw shucks JA. And maybe that's a good thing.

Lack of seperation on the outside REALLY showed itself this season and became very, very evident last night. Our entire Offense is run, screen/swing pass, occasional middle of the field target and Josh Allen off-script. We had zero ability to win on the outside this year with Keon and Cooper. Hollins to a lesser extent, although he absolutely serves a purpose on this team and should 100% be brought back.

Honest question.. what is the point of having a Defensive HC if he needs everything to be perfect on his Defense in the big moments to not be an absolute albatross around this team's neck? I agree being down Rapp & Benford to a fully healthy Chiefs team is rough. I agree being down all our linebackers last year to the Chiefs is rough. I agree being out of gas against the Bengals after the Hamlin incident is rough. So... what do we do? Have to pray we're fully healthy to ever get through? Only one team has that health luck and they still need biased officiating to get to Super Bowl every year. Maybe it's the type of player we want for this scheme? This. Happens. Every. Year.

The anatomy of a choke. He panics from jump. Everything is off. Everything is chaotic. Nothing slows down.. in fact, it all sped up for him. Resulting in this uncoordinated nonsense that many of us on this board could have made a better attempt at. Really frustrating. The Diggs drop just felt like a culmination of an elite talent that ran its course. The Kincaid drop feels like maybe, after two years, this guy just isn’t actually that good…

Tonight is the first time ever, that i’ve wondered if he’d contemplate leaving Buffalo. I think we’d have a head coaching change first… at least I hope it would if McDermott continues on this path.

Allen played Mahomes to a draw. But due to our year in / year out deficiencies around him, some people have warped themselves into thinking he played poorly if he doesn’t go super saiyan. To do what he did on offense should’ve been enough. Coaching let him down. (Again) Defense let him down. (Again) Refs were their typical KC comical selves. And sadly Beane got hit with a haymaker as his high picks were all embarassed by Xavier Worthy.. and the reality of us having no speed on the outside showed itself in our “run, run, swing pass, middle of the field dart” offense.

At some point, he will have to be the greatest man amongst us to not let bitterness and frustration with his teammates and coaching staff seep in. To do what he does against the Chiefs in the playoffs and be 0-4, with the same issues plaguing the team/staff around him every time… I just don’t know how that doesn’t affect you negatively.

I fear it’s this. McDermott’s Defense only really steps up against Rookie QB’s, mid-QB’s and Playoff Lamar Jackson. Against elite QB’s that don’t make a bunch of mistakes, this is the result. I don’t even know if a trade for Myles Garrett or Maxx Crosby helps fix it. I worry it’s McDermott’s defense. When it matters, Andy Reid knows the buttons to push and can rely on the fact his QB won’t make mistakes or get greedy. Therefore, we haven’t much of a chance to stop them. And we’ll keep McDermott, cycle OC’s and probably ask Josh to make the Offense work because 80% of the assets needs to go to creating a loaded Defense for our Defensive Head Coach who can’t perform against elite QB’s when it matters. Fun times to be in the AFC… where there’s always Mahomes as well as the added bonus of Burrow if his team gets their act together.

Honestly shocked the refs made so many suspicious calls for the Chiefs, again… after all week the spotlight was on Chiefs/NFL officiating. It’s like they took it as a challenge to one up the Texans game. Theres the slow start from Allen, who ended up balling out after. But due to the shortcomings of this roster/coachng staff, we can’t afford an Allen slow start. Theres McDermott’s Defense once again folding against the Chiefs. Theres Allen’s playmakers once again choking the game away in a big spot. Theres Beane’s high picks getting exposed as Xavier Worthy makes plays. But even with all of that.. what could have been if the refs didn’t steal a possession from us up 1, in Chiefs territory, 4th Quarter. Every. Time. It’s all anyone remembers from this game. It’s all anyone is talking about. The fact the Bills got screwed and the Chiefs were helped out by officials. But the NFL doesn’t care.. and maybe they even want it this way.
