  1. Caleb Williams clips are my new favorite thing about training camp.
  2. James Cook nationally trending on X now as the story gets picked up. Hard Knocks producers high fiving each other today.
  3. Hes not asking for a fair extension though. It’s been leaked, somewhat consistently, that he wants a Saquon type deal. Beane likely isn’t anywhere close to that. Nothing indicates the two sides are, at all, close to a deal. So what caused the abrupt shift in posturing to go from practicing as normal and being friendly at practice to holding in and repeating a one-word answer? If I’m Beane, I’m on the phone right now with Dallas to gauge their interest in Cook if Parson is remotely available.
  4. What would be the motivation to suddenly decide to pull this halfway through camp? My wishful thinking is that we told his agent he could potentially be traded, so this is now a holding pattern until then. My realistic thought is that his agent has no idea how to handle this situation when Beane doesn’t seem to have any desire to budge off a certain number. The reason a trade goes through my mind is the sudden attitude shift towards Getzenberg implying this wasn’t a one off today.
  5. Greg Tompsett floated Cook, Epenesa, 2026 1st and 3rd, 2027 1st for Parsons. 100% yes. No questions asked. Especially if we have to deal with this now. (I would’ve done it anyway). Cook going back to Dallas might help Jerry save face by getting a star player in return plus picks.
  6. It’s a bit comical that Samuel is constantly hurt already. When on the field, healthy, he actually looked good late last year, but this staff hanging onto that hope is starting to look like wishful thinking.
  7. Both teams now have a player on watch for the opener… Shakir for us and Likely for the Ravens.
  8. Shakir with a high ankle sprain mildly puts Week 1 in jeopardy. Should be good to go by then, but off chance he could miss it.
  9. It’s not just that … Jones/Kelce have been a big part of it (as have injuries to the Bills Defense) .. but the Chiefs role players make plays as well. The whole team steps up around Mahomes in these games against us. Meanwhile, Josh Allen’s best targets and most reliable players fold. It’s not just the Defense. It’s not just Kincaid dropping a pass to end the game. It’s our version of Kelce/Hill, in Stefon Diggs, dropping one of the most elite clutch big throws I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s our Wall of Fame Left Tackle, Dion Dawkins, getting absolutely dog walked in a split second to disrupt Allen in what would have been a go ahead TD late in the 4th at home. Followed by a kick missed to tie that Harrison Butker is always going to make. The entire team & coaching staff, outside Allen & I’ll throw in Cook after his last game, need to discard this choke gene they have against KC.
  10. I think Trump is taking a massive gamble with some of his policies, namely his tariff policy, but that research does show the previous administration was heavily reliant of expanding government as a means of stimulating job growth. -3%, in the govt sector, seems like a very much needed correction… in the least.
  11. Not for nothing… but this is eye-opening and interesting to keep in mind when pouring over job numbers.
  12. Zero chance they are cutting Hoecht. He signed a 3 year deal and, according to reports, has looked good in practice. Ogunjobi is insurance on the interior in case Deone Walker’s back issue flares up and/or he’s not able to make an impact as a rookie or DeWayne Carter doesn’t make a second year jump. Smart move by Beane to re-adjust the contract and stay the course. Hopefully we have no room for him when he comes back off suspension, but with Daquan Jones getting older and 3 of the 5 DT’s on this roster rookies and a second year player, having an insurance policy in a proven player makes a ton of sense.
  13. A lot of good takes you summarized from them. The point about Tyree’s catch is great. If you look at recent Bills games vs the Chiefs no one makes that play, except for 13 seconds when the coaching staff and defense imploded with the game all but won if they do anything different on the 3 plays.. kickoff, pass #1, pass #2. Diggs drops a bomb in a pivotal moment.. one of the best clutch deep throws you’ll ever see. Dawkins gets immediately blown up by Chris Jones on a would be go ahead by 4 TD with 1:30 left, followed by a Bass missed chip shot FG. Kincaid drops an absolute instantly would-be iconic playoff throw by Allen, Bills lose. Who can think of a play the Chiefs have failed to make around Mahomes in critical moments like that? He had a game where MVS, of all people, was making miraculous clutch catches. The closest you could come to a failure in a clutch spot was when Mahomes, himself, got sacked by Milano this past year late in the game to take the Chiefs out of FG position. Even then though, this wasn’t a final drive.. just the closest thing that comes to mind. This has been the difference between us and them (this and injuries). Which is why everyone understandably gets crazy, willing to do whatever it takes, if a Parsons somehow were actually to become available. Allen has never had another elite running mate while in Buffalo. Not even Diggs.. great regular season player, but shrunk in the Playoffs here. Mahomes, year in, year out, walks out of the tunnel to face the Bills with multiple Hall of Famers by his side.
  14. You’d probably have to call in the National Guard to keep our Tight End Room from being there.
  15. Don’t think it’s crazy to throw AJ in a package. Hes not awful. Majority of the trade would be two 1sts, a 3rd etc.. AJ would be a guy thrown in because it’s August and Dallas needs a DE in return to take up some snaps.
  16. I want to say I agree.. no way they trade him, but Tom Pelliserro is reporting they’ve had preliminary trade talks with teams about him dating back to last year .. and other reporters are already mentioning frameworks of a deal they’d need.
  17. He’s mentioned Josh unprompted a few times on podcasts. Always glowing about him. Penn State guy for Pegula as well.
  18. Agreed, but I’m drastically reducing the draft picks. Say Rousseau and a 1st. Maybe a 3rd if they ask for it. No one should be untouchable outside Allen in a trade for Parsons.
  19. Can’t get there… 3rd and 8 in the AFC Championship Game, Bills up 7 middle of the 4th Quarter. KC at their own 32 yard line. Bills line up Parsons, Rousseau, Oliver and Bosa. I want that.
  20. NFLN talking about how Dallas would need back a ransom of picks and a quality player to replace Parsons. Seems the Bills could easily handle that with a couple 1st’s + and AJ Epenesa. Say what you want about AJ, but he’s solid and I’m not sure who else has a guy his caliber they’d could easily throw into a trade no questions asked.
  21. If he were to legitimately become available, this is the move. Enough is enough…. Mahomes has always had Jones, Kelce, Hill for a while. Jackson, year in, year out, has a team littered with All-Pros. Burrow has two elite WR1’s. Get Josh someone else to run with. We consistently have, maybe, the most well rounded above average talent roster in the NFL. But if you look at the Chiefs reign, Kelce, Hill and Jones have big plays strewn throughout their run. Allen has had a Diggs drop, Kincaid drop and a Defense that gives up 30+ to KC.
  22. For sure means no Cook, McGovern and Edwards extensions. I think Torrence may be getting to a place where they get it done regardless of what else they want to do and backload the contract. Anything past this year for Bosa and/or Milano also get tricky. Very limited FA spending on anything but our own.
  23. In fairness, our offense was pretty meh in the first half and until Josh hit Mack Hollins for that TD before half, he was struggling some. And yea, our Defense was trash, again.. players injured, again.. But if Kincaid makes that catch, maybe we win. If we aren’t so predictable on two QB sneaks to give the refs the chance to give KC and edge on two spots, maybe we win. Our Offense was also in no position to go blow for blow against Baltimore if they didn’t, in typical Baltimore fashion, make a ton of mistakes (some forced by our Defense.) We had a great Offense last year. Always do. But that playoff run showed some cracks around JA. They might be fixed with a Year 3 Kincaid, Year 2 Keon and the addition of Palmer/Moore.. but we could really use that second elite playmaker outside Allen. On either side of the ball. It doesn’t matter. Just one guy who we know gets a bucket when it matters.
