  1. Good.. I’m sick of seeing ads for a lib coping hour played nonstop during football season.
  2. Bengals folks had been hearing there’s been somewhat positive momentum on a Hendrickson deal. Have to wonder if this changes anything.
  3. TJ Watt is the type of elite player who can shake free. Older, coming off a year where people wonder if he’s lost a step. Still gets this contract. If you want a difference maker, you better draft one.
  4. Playing injury roulette makes that a possibility but Von, post-injury, was never the force Bosa looked in the Playoffs just a few months ago when he was finally somewhat healthy.
  5. Send back Curtis Samuel in the trade and then move AJE gets us around what we need. No idea if WAS would want, or even accept Samuel, as part of the trade, but those are two - seemingly - expendable guys that (if traded) move enough salary to afford McLaurin this year.
  6. I suppose we could send back say, Epenesa, Samuel etc in a deal, to somewhat wash out the money. No idea of Washington would want either of them and they’d probably ask for Cook if we went that route. But I don’t have much interest in handing a 30 year old WR a massive extension. And is pointed out above.. if it lingers, I could see trade deadline interest, but Beane is going to want to see Coleman, Palmer, Shakir, Kincaid and Knox out there as 5 likely long term investments before he makes a massive move at the receiver position.
  7. So much doom and gloom about our defense.. Im not willing to entertain that because with all they invested on that side of the ball, while basically telling Josh Allen he can have a good OL and then figure it out.. they better be good. TJ Sanders is easily, from a talent/potential perspective, right there with Ed Oliver as best interior DT we’ve had in years & other teams invest RD1 picks at CB and expect them to start and be solid out the gate. Just because Elam didn’t work out doesn’t mean Hairston will be a disaster too. We had nothing behind Oliver/Jones last year and Rasul Douglas was a liability. Just get Bosa to Week 1 healthy and the schedule softens up after Baltimore until we get back Hoecht & Ogunjobi. Hes not Von post-ACL washed .. he’s fragile, but when healthy, he’s a legit DE1 playmaker. Epenesa is fine as a DE3 if that’s what he needs to be with Rousseau & Bosa ahead of him, until a Jackson emerges or we get Hoecht back.
  8. We’re middle of the pack for dead cap carryover, if I’m not mistaken. Im just not sure what we would do with that $15M if we had it right now? Who is that guy that’s available to be the “missing piece”? Is there a pass rusher or receiver available you want us (or wanted us) to go get? Everywhere else we have guys they’re not paying someone to supplant… they want our starting Safeties to be Rapp & Bishop, they likely want Hairston to win CB2 opposite Benford as CB1. Taron in the slot. They want a healthy year from Milano & Bernard. OL is elite, with promising depth they are high on. We’re not signing a RB or TE. Our QB is Josh Allen. That leaves WR & DL. They identified Palmer as “the guy” rightly or wrongly, we’ll see, and paid him well. They then drafted 2 DL early and another top end of RD4, while signing Bosa when it became apparent Crosby & Garrett weren’t being moved, then gave a multi-year deal to Hoecht and signed Ogunjobi. We’re in a weird situation with precautionary injuries and suspensions on the DL, but are we at a point where we need that 15M to desperately sign a missing piece mercenary edge or a DT? What WR move could we have made if we had that 15M? Yes, it would be great to have that money instead of having to manipulate a contract to free up in-season money, of course … but I guess my point is just what could Beane have done that would’ve put us over the top had he not signed Von? Chandler Jones was the other big fish and he had a whole other series of issues. Now, more than ever, we’ve got to find a way to hit on draft picks. Rams with Von were the only time I can remember in recent memory that a big name was moved (that was in-season) and it paid off. Big names are rarely moved or become available. You’ve got to hit on picks. Although.. I’ll admit.. I’m jealous we didn’t make the move for Derrick Henry. Love Cook, but yeesh.. that’s a move that maybe should’ve been done and could’ve helped us against the Chiefs when the Offense was stagnant early.
  9. That Rams opener was something else. Shame how it played out, but the Bills had one big contract to hand out and gave it to Von. Looking back, what else could we have done with that money to win a Super Bowl? We've pretty much kept everyone we’ve wanted to. Could we have spent on a couple good, not great players in Free Agency to add the litany of those types we already have? Sure.. does that change anything? Benford is great but keeps getting hurt in the playoffs. They made the Rasul trade and weren’t going to supplant him. Linebackers are set, but keep getting hurt. Safety plan has been shown.. Rapp and a high draft pick. OL has been elite for two years now. Running backs set. Paid a Knox plus a high draft pick. WR’s could use help but they literally paid Diggs to play for another team. Bottom line is we need to hit on draft picks, specifically early in the draft where the traits more often can lead to game changing players instead of good, not great. Game changers are rarely available. Only reason Von became available was due to age and the Rams not offering him a third guaranteed year. And we saw what happened..
  10. Was it? Burrow wasn’t exactly aces on that playoff run. It was mainly due to their defense and field goal kicker. So how do we think JA & that Bills Offense would’ve fared against that Anurumo led Defense that was getting walked by KC in the first half before turning in a masterclass shutdown in the 2nd when he flipped the entire script and threw an entirely new defensive scheme at Kansas City. I do worry about how our Defense would’ve covered the Bengals receivers, and Burrow probably would’ve gone off based on historical performances of our playoff Defense, but our Offense at that point looked like they could score a TD every possession against anyone.
  11. How are all of these radical Islamist groups operated/funded? They all operate as proxies backed by more powerful entities. Iran, Syria etc.. and to the question above, yes, America has plenty of blame on its hands over what has happened/is happening in Syria.
  12. The videos coming out of what jihadists are doing to the Druze are sickening.
  13. Most Improved - Kincaid Most Likely to Regress - Taron Kincaid, healthy, finally gets on the same page with Allen and we see true TE1/Playmaker ability. Taron Johnson has been a top tier slot corner for years now, but he seemed to be a bit of a liability at times last year, maybe age, maybe scheme, but he’d be my pick. Not saying he’s going to be bad, but I just don’t know if he’s going to be Top 5 NCB good.
  14. This is a right vs left thing and there’s not much of a chance you can sway anyone on this topic. The left is more globalist/status concerned than the right. They may have thought Biden was embarrassing on the global stage but pretended it didn’t exist or defended it because they appreciated that he was respectful of other countries and, in return, on the surface, other countries respected us. The right wants to re-establish America as the, singular, power in the world while also demanding other countries pick up the slack and stop asking us to subsidize their Defense and/or tap into our market without paying their dues. When Trump gets called “daddy” by the NATO Secretary and forces every country, minus Spain, to level up.. The Right declares “America is back”.. and they don’t care if other nations burn effigies of Trump or we get more criticism from citizens of other countries. The tariff thing is interesting because it’s a traditionally Democrat protectionist view that Trump holds, which in turn has garnered criticism from Democrats and praise from Republicans .. in part, because politics is now sport and people, aside from a core issue or two, don’t actually hold rigid views on most topics. Due to all of this, there are two distinctly different opinions of what “being respected abroad” actually means.
  15. Megyn Kelly went scorched earth on Pam Bondi to huge applause at Turning Point. Trump may not be focused on this story, or maybe he wants it to go away, but it’s very clear his base is not going to let it.
  16. It’s not the end of the world, but as a man, would you respect another man who sits across from you like this?
  17. Im not sure why so many of your posts have to be a doctoral thesis, but since you point out failures at the state level with the flood alert, do you have that same smoke for Gavin Newsom and his handling of fire prone areas in California? Just curious.
  18. Yea.. there are some Food Lions in the Carolinas. Dont think I’ve seen any in Georgia though. Publix, Ingles, Kroger (Georgia) and Food Lion (Carolinas) is mainly what I come across with Harris Teeter’s and Aldi’s starting to pop up a good bit.
  19. I don’t like or dislike the tariffs.. it feels kind of haphazard to me at the moment, but we’re told it’s a tax on us and this and that… Maybe Tops should stop gaslighting you because gas is definitely down and we don’t have any price hikes down here at Publix.
  20. Say what you will, but any other administration would have just breezed past the Epstein stuff as if it never existed. Some may view it as chaos, but it’s better than the status quo.
  21. This is an interesting point. He played his college ball down south. Now in as perfect weather environment as possible in LA. Id say Ladd has overlap with Shakir but so does Keon if his power slot advocates are correct. Really comes down to Ladd vs Worthy vs Keon vs Legette. I think we’ll have a much clearer picture of this after the upcoming season. Its just hard to see the vision for him given we have a QB who likes to see separation before he throws it and Keon’s game will likely never really be that.
