  1. Miami ate 90% of the Phillips contract if I heard correctly, so there’s always that aspect as well.
  2. Fair point, but seeing Mahomes get rocked admittedly changed my view a bit. And it seems impact DL could move.. if you told me Olave or Waddle were realistic for us, I can be swayed back to WR.
  3. I highly doubt they’re getting a 1st with the current injury and contract needed long term. If Phillips went for a 3rd, I’d guess a 2nd or 3rd and change would be the offers. CIN can keep him if they want, but I doubt he’s planning on suiting up for them anytime soon, if at all.
  4. If Josh goes to the FO and says we should look into him, ok, maybe. But I’m not even asking Josh if he’s cool with checking in. And then if Josh, for some reason asked Beane to check in, I’m then calling a team meeting to with the OL & DL to get agreement before doing so. Something tells me the allegations of his locker room shenanigans would not fly here with an OL that hates him and a DL let by a Bosa.
  5. Bosa genuinely seems like he’d take a discount to stay here if both sides want to make it work. Hes so much different than I expected and fits in so well here. Beyond the football field, he makes it sound like this organization is great for his overall quality of life.
  6. I’m pretty much fine if we trade away both Day 2 picks as long as a WR is a long term investment. Beane seems to be solid in Round 1 and is very good on Day 3. Day 2, meh. If we don’t trade for a WR, we’re likely drafting one. So if a pick brings back a guy we plan on extending. I’m good with it. Then offer a 3rd for a DE rental. With Bishop, Hancock, Walker.. we’ll see about Sanders, Hairston looking like hits.. OL, LB, DL & WR are the needs for next year depending on extension and WR could be taken care of right now.
  7. Phillips for a 3rd would’ve been the perfect move for us… but it probably would’ve taken a 2nd to beat out the NFC offer.. if they’ll even trade with us at all.
  8. They won’t, but Green Bay just lost Kraft for the year…
  9. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but after watching this Defense beat up Mahomes and losing Hoecht for the year… I might be Team Trade for a DE if its available over WR. Not sure we need a DT with Jones and Sanders coming back, along with the hope Oliver returns for the Playoffs.
  10. Nah .. only time they had serious injuries like what we’ve dealt with on the defensive side of the ball in the postseason they got SMOKED by the Bucs
  11. We can say that, but it’s because our Offense is ultra-dependent upon staying ahead of the sticks. Which is an insane thing to admit with JA at QB, but it’s reality right now.
  12. Telling that we know we have to go for it on 4th and 2 at midfield and KC is playing for FG’s.
  13. Bills had their chance to put some separation between them and KC but decided to throw it 15 yard downfield on a 4th and 2 And now we’re right back to the stagnant pass offense after our scripted screen/run drive
  14. Easy schedule and they are so buttoned up. Just great coaching and execution at every level. If they don’t make mistakes.. which, as of now, they don’t.. going to be real tough to find many L’s for them the rest of the way.
  15. Oh look.. a thread finally drawing attention to the slaughter of innocent Nigerians. ( @Homelander proceeds to throw up all over it )
  16. Well.. people do not take personal responsibility. So now what?
  17. This obvious bigot explains what happened
  18. We draft small, undersized Front 7 players on Defense. I doubt that helps. We have some older and/or injury prone players we keep relying on. Doesnt help. Some of it is bad luck. Some of it is personnel.
  19. Not all.. only Rice missed all of the year. Am I supposed to be moved by that?.. especially when they’re constantly the healthiest team in the AFC Playoffs? Last few years we’ve lost: Prime Tre for the year. Post- Super Bowl monster Von for the year. Milano & Jones for the year. Oliver for the year. This year… Oliver done. Rapp IR. Sanders IR. Strong IR. Milano in and out. Bernard in and out. Brown missed a game. Kincaid in and out. Palmer in and out. Samuel in and out. Jones in and out. Heading into KC week.. Down DT Oliver (year), DT Sanders, DT Jones, S Rapp (year), LB Shaq, CB Strong, WR Palmer, potentially NCB Taron.
  20. So was Mitch Morse. Theres some stuff I don’t necessarily trust this FO/Staff with and other I very much do. If they think he’s worth the long term investment .. because if we can convince NO to move him, it won’t be cheap, and he’d be extended here .. I trust them on this. Meyers makes this receiver room competent, but kind of clunky without a guy who “takes the top off” theoretically. Palmer can. Meyers can. But it’s not their thing. Wed at least have a guy opposite Palmer to do what we hoped Keon could do for us. Olave makes this Offense, on paper, an absolute wagon. Legit WR1, WR2, Slot, RB1, Good TE’S, Elite OL and Elite QB.
  21. What does KC do? Because aside from Rashee Rice last year, they rarely face the injury bug like other teams. They haven’t even had their bye yet and they’re only down Pacheco and Simmons, Simmons not even injury related. Meanwhile the Ravens were decimated up until this past week, we’ve been a triage unit most of the year.. Jacksonville has Travis Hunter on IR after a practice injury. The Bengals can’t keep any QB healthy. It goes on and on.
  22. If Kamala won, is this war still going on? He tried a different approach. It hasn’t worked. So unless you think Harris would’ve stopped the war, what exactly are you complaining about? Same people would’ve died.. you’d just be making excuses about how what she’s doing is working.
  23. So we’re just supposed to pretend this is acceptable.. no, actually we should want this? Not the neighborhood where kids can play together, parents can have barbecues, neighbors can watch each others kids in an emergency etc.. No, we should want to live next to people who don’t speak English. This rhetoric is comical if it wasn’t shared by most of the Democrat Party with their performative empathy.
