  1. What would you like Elon to cut of that 38B? Surely you’ve educated yourself on this and aren’t just blindly reposting Randi Weingarten…
  2. I think he’s pretty similar to Karlaftis, with a higher second contract ceiling. Karlaftis just has a Chris Jones to play off of.
  3. I enjoy being lectured about measles outbreaks from people who have zero issue with hordes of people flooding our country with barely any medical history for us to gauge as they created an army of new vax hesitant parents due to their psychotic authoritarian response to covid vaccines.
  4. I don’t think anyone wants to give a WR 30M.. closest I’ve seen is a trade for DK Metcalf, and that just makes sense in the same way signing Henry for Lamar did. If you can do it.. do it. We do definitely need speed/separation on the outside. Teams literally played us one high safety with zero worries about anyone beating them over the top. This affected not only Shakir, but also our TE’s as the middle of the field was more clogged up. Whether that a RD1 or RD2 draft pick or a Slayton/Brown level FA, the Bills absolutely do need to add to the group of Shakir, Coleman and Samuel.. even if Hollins comes back.
  5. With the American public supporting DOGE in polling, it will certainly be interesting to see if the left’s pushback of “yea, there’s a lot of government waste & fraud that this committee is finding, BUT it’s not sooo bad”. Notable runner up being “but the oligarchy!!!!”… brought to you by the party funded via coastal elites and the Soros family.
  6. The poster talked about speed. They can just draft a guy with speed. We're not doing it.. and even if Beane wanted to, Year 1 of Worthy vs Coleman did not go his way, so even he's got to be gun shy here. But if they're renting him or paying him 12-15M... so be it. We need to beef up the DL and there are a ton of DT's in that 45-75 range. I'd love to have 3 picks in that range.
  7. They can literally just draft a guy like Henderson from Ohio State. I'd do it. We keep losing to them because our pass rush is garbage and secondary/linebackers are made of glass. Cook doesn't change any of that.
  8. Trade Cook to KC + Diggs signs with KC in Free Agency A toxic Bills fan's dream
  9. Josh Allen Greg Rousseau Ed Oliver Big Ticket EDGE via Trade Dion Dawkins Spencer Brown I'm fine with that being our big money core for the next few years. JA & the trenches. I could see us bringing in another 8-15M WR (Slayton, Brown etc), premium draft pick potentially, but not sure I see us adding a big ticket WR to the room. As for CB, I'm probably in the minority, but I'm not sold on paying Benford. He's 0/3 on staying healthy in the playoffs and isn't an elite playmaking CB. Like most everyone else on this roster, he's very good.. not great. And, imo, replaceable.
  10. If we plan on re-signing everyone, maybe. We aren't forced to give Cook 10-15M. We aren't forced to give a CB who 0/3 in staying healthy in the playoffs 20-25M. Get the DL right and the rest of the Defense will fall in line.
  11. Rousseau's biggest issue, is the same issue everyone on this team not named Josh Allen, Dion Dawkins or Spencer Brown has.. They are good, not great. We are lucky enough to have a lot of these types, but the Defense desperately needs their Chris Jones. With that being said, Rousseau would be my next up to extend. He's not "the" guy, but he is a high end DE2 who, along with Oliver, could truly explode next year with the right investment around them on the DL.
  12. Most based VP we’ve ever had
  13. Will ours be any better? As it stands, I’d take Rice, Brown and Worthy as a top 3 for Allen. Only concern would be how Rice looks post-injury. We currently have Shakir, Coleman and Samuel. Unless Samuel plans on not being injured for once in his life and Keon remembers how to play football after Poyer hit him, that potential KC trio clears ours by a mile. Also, we require our WR’s to run block, so it’s a different scheme, nonetheless… We NEED more talent at WR than we had last year. Allen/Brady did what they could but we had obvious limitations on Offense that were exploited by Baltimore and KC in the Playoffs.
  14. Should also be noted that Shakir put up those numbers last year with next to zero vertical threat in our passing game. As a result, teams played us accordingly which limited some of the underneath/intermediate potential in our offense. Shakir has his limitations.. unlike some of the top slot guys, he doesn’t have reliable downfield ability, but he can do it.. and if that develops at all, he’s already top tier at RAC and Catch % while uncovering quickly as a chain mover.
  15. I didn’t say Shakir is elite. James Cook is a tier 2 RB and Shakir may or may not be that at Slot WR. You named some outliers but it doesn’t change the fact that, even now, it’s much tougher to find WR’s than RB’s. In Shakir’s draft class, guys like Treylon Burks, Jahan Dotson, John Metchie, Danny Gray, Jalen Tolbert and Skyy Moore were taken early and often. There are a ton of swing/misses at WR every year. We also have an elite QB and elite OL.. for a team like us, paying 10-15M for a RB makes even less sense. Paying 15M for a class act, reliably good slot WR who has insane chemistry with Josh Allen does make sense. Approaching 20M for Shakir.. no.. but this one came in at a solid number.
  16. Ok, but we don’t have Saquon Barkley. The reason a Khalil Shakir makes 15M and people think it’s a team friendly deal is because it’s not easy to find Khalil Shakir’s. WR is more plug and play than ever, but you still have a ton of swing and misses at the position.. even with premium picks. RB, not as difficult to find outside the truly elite.. of which James Cook is not… and you mention pass pro, which Cook isn’t good at anyway.
  17. Mediocre receiving ability, despite that being his calling card at UGA Non-existent pass pro ability. Timeshare at RB with Ray Davis & Ty Johnson. Do you think he’s on the same level as Saquan Barkley, Derrick Henry and healthy Christian McCaffrey? Because those guys are elite. James Cook is an explosive runner with good vision. Alvin Kamara potential if he’s more utilized/consistent in the pass game. Really good player.. but right now, a level below elite.
  18. Always going left is more of an issue imo… Also, we did get it.. but I understand your point.
  19. Yes… Good slot WR’s are tougher to find and tougher to plug and play than good RB’s.
  20. Why does it seem like Russia/Ukraine is the only region liberals and neocons care about? Will they? Not if USA/Europe have strong leadership. You can hate Trump all you want but Russia didn’t invade during his first term. They did the term before him and the term after him. They’ve done it while Europe is gutless and dependent upon America for defense. Should we go into Africa and start arming governments and picking sides in an effort to stop the relentless slaughter of civilians and rise of tribal warlords and gangs leading to the largest refugee crisis of the modern era? Thats something that is actually effecting Europe, almost as if it’s by design. So maybe there’s a reason we allow the slaughter of Africans but pick and choose our battles to focus on territorial battles in Russia/Ukraine, of which we provoke by expanding NATO and saber rattling on Russia’s doorstep. One man actually wants to stop the slaughter of the innocent men in Ukraine and Russia, while the rest of the Western world demands body bags… for what. Nobody, STILL, can outline the end game of funding a forever war. Nevermind the future effects of forcing Russia & China to further align.
  21. Every year is a new year. What we know is that we have the best QB in the NFL and a Top 3 OL returning. Outside of that.. We have a RB that seems to want to force our FO’s hand in terms of paying him or trading him. We have two TE’s, one who is solid and the other who the FO is calling out in an effort to get 1st RD play from him in Year 3. And at WR, we have a good slot WR and then ??? Make no mistake, outside WR was a legitimate issue last year. We masked it best we could, but teams literally played us differently due to the fact they didn’t respect our outside WR’s. It not only took away our vertical passing game based on lack of speed.. it also allowed teams to drop a Safety and clog up the area where our slot receivers and tight ends typically work.
  22. I guess the easiest one for one, given he’ll make somewhere between 11-15M would be would you rather have James Cook or Darius Slayton and a RD3 pick. Slayton is a guy rumored to potentially be on our board as a vertical speed threat and his projected contract could be somewhat in line with what Cook is looking for based on some contract projections. A RD3 pick being a moderate estimate of what Cook would go for in a player for pick trade. For me, it’s not about Cook.. he’s very good.. it’s just about paying a non-elite RB that much money when we desperately need to add outside WR speed and multiple DL upgrades.
