Would you rather playoff seeding scenario?
SCBills replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Baltimore, ok, we’ve beaten them in the playoffs - even though we did so playing scared last year. KC, comical to keep referencing regular season success. Clearly that doesn’t matter. To your first point, the Bills have no excuse to not get the 1 seed. If they can’t get it due to New England, Denver or Indy, shame on them. We’re tied for the lead in the AFC in the loss column with a game remaining in NE and only 1 AFC loss. Beane made no moves at the deadline. He better have been right in holding firm. The one seed not only helps us stay healthy.. a team constantly dealing with that issue and past two years has been down entire units on defense against KC, but also potentially avoids having to play both KC and Baltimore (assuming both make it) and especially avoids having to go to Baltimore or host KC in the WC should things shake out that way. -
Unless Kromer feels it’s time for SVPG, Anderson and/or Grable on the inside, I think they’ll extend all 3 on the interior (Torrence will be to get ahead of it), along with Bosa (should he stay healthy). Wont be much money for anything else, but I’d be ok with that as our offseason. Draft a WR early and then fill out the Defense with the rest of the Draft and some smaller contract FA’s.

For those saying “this is what we voted for…”
SCBills replied to stevestojan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
For the record, I’m going to continue to vote for whichever side rebukes this.. Ever since Biden purposefully flooded the country with illegal immigrants, and we now see elections decided by foreign born voters & Somali clan beefs, it’s pretty much a defining issue for me. -
Yes, Schumer is winning. Also, sign the clean CR. He won’t, because hes winning, but that doesn’t absolve the left of suffering. Both sides are perfectly fine with people struggling as they fight for power. If you can’t acknowledge that, then you’re purely partisan and there’s nothing further to discuss.

It’s not being “driven into the ground” The stock market being up shows confidence in next year. That said, it’s not great .. people are still struggling .. and Trump needs to stop his world’s president shtick and focus on the economy. -
Not sure when this popped up, but have to wonder if Quinnen Williams would’ve made more sense for the Colts.

A Sober Analysis of the 2025 Off-Year Elections
SCBills replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
JD Vance is likely the next nominee, with Rubio as VP. He needs this Administration to get its act together on the economy, but JD is a pretty strong successor to the absolutely whirlwind of Trump that’s dominated politics for 12 years. In the midterms though.. it really comes down to the economy. R’s still have a favorable map to retain the Senate and potentially hold the House, but Dems f***ing vote. No matter who, no matter when, they vote. And Republicans need to figure out how to mobilize their low propensity scattered base of white working class, married women, MAHA, conservative Latinos etc., to get to the polls when Trump isn’t on the ballot. While I think Newsom is incredibly talented as an Patrick Bateman-esque politician.. I don’t know that he can win in GA/NC/PA/MI etc .. and it doesn’t seem like Shapiro can get out of a Dem Primary.. after those two, the candidate quality drops quite a bit. -
Politics are pure blood sport. Ok.. so we’ve gotten the intended election night results from the shutdown that we wanted. How about we open it back up and extend the ACA subsidies one year… ….to set to expire right before the midterms Diabolical work

He’s not doing enough. Deportations need to ramp up. Media will lie about them and try to frame them as evil regardless, so get your money’s worth. Stop focusing on being the President of the World and focus on fixing the economy so R’s don’t get wrecked in the midterms. Otherwise, I’m fine with his Presidency. -
A Sober Analysis of the 2025 Off-Year Elections
SCBills replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Demographics are destiny. If the GOP loses some temporary Latino support due to ICE raids/immigration policy, so be it. They lose either way. The left has shown that migration is THE existential threat to conservatism. Import a government dependent population and they will vote for you in perpetuity. What Latino’s will also vote on is the economy. So fix the economy and you offset some of the above losses. The shutdown, which Dems are gloating over being the reason for now, also hurt the GOP.. especially in VA. In other states, while they’re are trends to examine, the GOP is a low propensity coalition and typically have, and will likely continue to, get rolled in off year elections. -
Ok, but if Benford misses time, now we have a banged up Secondary. What ya gonna do now? 3D Chess.

Stop Calling Us Commies. We're Democratic Socialists!!!
SCBills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Lmaoooo, we avoided another Socialist Mayor because of a Somali clan war. Good job America! Great stuff on the immigration front. -
Perhaps, but Ohio is deep red. Vivek having some weird early polls is due to something entirely different. Conversely, early polling for Michigan Senate shows Mike Roger’s up solidly over any potential Dems.

Young white men aren’t going to vote for an Indian that mocked them and is pushing for increased H1B visas. Vivek has a lot of work to do in regards to the comments he made and this topic.

Dorian Williams in the Hoecht/Lorax role?
SCBills replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Williams is talented enough that we should get him on the field. On passing downs, having him play a rush linebacker in place of a DT seemed to have some juice. Solomon also had some nice reps in the Hoecht role after he went out. Have to think the rush plan involves those two being used creatively, but Landon Jackson is going to have to give us something.. even if just as a power/compression EDGE. Sanders coming back could change up things a bit as he was drafted to be a guy who should be able to give immediate pass rush juice as a rookie. Let’s hope he makes a jump when he comes back. -
Bills don't "need" a WR, they need to use the ones they have better
SCBills replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Give me Moore/Samuel, eventually Davis on the outside and just shelf Keon at this point. Moore made a down field play Keon couldn’t dream of making against the Chiefs last week. There’s All-22 breakdowns of Samuel warranting Safety help over the top on some outside reps and opening up intermediate stuff down the field. -
We get Joey Bosa with the plan to make sure he’s healthy for the playoffs. Proceeds to get a billion snaps due to injuries to everyone else.

Republican Self Reflection Thread
SCBills replied to JDHillFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
But maybe if WE do “Bidenomics”, it will work! Cant believe this Administration is doing the same exact thing we all hated the Biden Administration for doing. -
Should be interesting if Bosa, Epenesa and Cook are out. Don’t want to take games for granted, and Miami was the better team first half against Baltimore if we’re being honest, but I wouldn’t mind seeing what Ray Davis, Javon Solomon and Landon Jackson can do when forced into action. With no moves made at the deadline, we’re going to need these guys to step up .. and while early results have been meh, Solomon & Davis have shown flashes and Jackson is raw enough for us to hope there’s another level he can get to by the time we reach the playoffs.

We do have a slight problem coming up
SCBills replied to BringMetheHeadofLeonLett's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Something like 45-50% of recent 2024 and 2025 graduates haven’t been able to find entry level jobs in their chosen field. AI is a mixed bag, where some prognosticators believe we’re far over-estimating its impact as companies that have been heavy in it are now peeling back due to inefficiencies and the AI tech producing slop as it essentially eats itself over reproducing the intelligence it feeds on. However, many lower level jobs will be wiped away by automation via AI and then as the tech advances, we could see world economies upended if we don’t address it. End game.. the end of capitalism and a first world reliant on UBI and a drastically lowered level of living. I think it’s pretty obvious we’re going full speed ahead into the unknown. This happened multiple times in our history.. Industrial Revolution etc., where jobs went extinct and others replaced them, but they were always human jobs… what do we do when the jobs are consolidated into AI and the only non-service jobs we have are in servicing the AI? That’s not replacing old jobs with new, that’s simply erasing jobs.
