Defensive Line after one preseason game looks like Oliver, Jones, Sanders, Walker with Bosa, Rousseau, Epenesa and Solomon. Carter and Jackson not showing much of anything, but on the bright side… Walker & Sanders show monster potential for interior pass rush.

Really getting intrigued about the potential of an Oliver, Bosa, Rousseau, Sanders, Walker core. Mix n match however you want, but I’m really impressed with the two rookies today.

Have to think we might, as Joe B alluded to, listen to offers for DeWayne Carter. TJ Sanders and Deone Walker were NOTICEABLE out there. Both guys just smoked dudes in a couple different reps. Carter looked, again, like just a guy. One game.. but Sanders was Pick 40 and Walker is a back issue flare up away from being a RD1 Pick. If our staff feels they’ve got that managed, and we have Ogunjobi back as insurance in Week 7..

Preseason is whatever, but it was plain to see that Hamlin & Lewis just have such a low ceiling out there. CB2 when left on an island was abused, whether it was Tre or Dane. I get why they’d keep Hamlin, but Lewis and Dane should be displaced by Hancock and Strong.

Guys that flashed in that half.. Bosa Walker Sanders Shavers Also through Trubisky was really solid out there showing his mobility and willingness to push the ball down the field

Not going to overreact but given Hairston won’t be ready to start the season.. you can see that our CB2 play out there today has been a problem. Might be able to scheme help for them come regular season, but not great from that spot out there in man up chances.

Taron Johnson is so good, but with the way he plays and the way we play Defense, they desperately need to find his eventual successor at backup Nickel.

That bail coverage on Robinson with a huge cushion wasn’t great.

Eh, not much he could do on that drive. Giants DL got pressure way too fast on his drop backs.

No idea what you’re watching. Defense gave up one big completion when Tre bailed and gave a huge cushion to Robinson. Other than that, I liked what I saw.

That’s all I need to see from Bosa this preseason. Sheesh.. monster. If we get that from him, Rousseau, Oliver etc are going to eat this year.

If im Browns fan, I’d want them to start Sanders this year. He clearly has talent. His issue, based on his Colorado tape, will be negative plays. Which isn’t unique to a rookie QB, but his negative plays are insanely negative. Like 20 yard sacks negative.

Keon early, then Shavers to see if he can put together a statement game given his camp hype. Hancock and Strong, specifically Hancock as he’s an intriguing prospect and I’m hoping he can elevate the ceiling at NCB/Safety. The DL. Not just Sanders, Walker and Jackson, but second year Carter and Solomon. Doubt we see much of Oliver, Jones, Epenesa, Rousseau and Bosa. The young guys are the key, along with Hoecht when he comes back, to us getting to the Super Bowl (imo). If these guys hit, this DL has Eagles ‘24 level potential. And say what you want, but Walker was a first round pick after his first year, then second year back issues. If we found a way to mitigate those issues, watch out….

Congrats to Dion! Spencer Brown won’t make the list but he is absolutely a Top 100 player. Probably one more elite season and some notoriety away from being ranked in the 50-100 area.
