  1. So this award means nothing now? Got it. Trump about to give it to Catturd on his way out.
  2. Wasn’t the President of Mexico some lib hero for threatening us over avocados after Trump got elected?
  3. I think she had a bad poll that should’ve been discarded. I think people in Harris orbit heard about it and pressured/convinced her to release it. Harris internals at that point had her losing. They knew they had to shake it up by any means necessary to make it competitive for down ballot races. Their entire closing push was centered around demonizing Tony Hinchcliffe and an outlier poll.
  4. We have to elevate 1 OL to field a Offensive Line of backups, right? Even then, Anderson seems pretty important to what we do as the sixth OL. Im with those who want to see us make a mockery of the game and run it down to zero every play clock after Ray Davis handoffs. If the NFL didn’t want this, they could’ve not played favorites for half the year with the Chiefs.
  5. It’s comical to look back at the bs we were told are our biggest domestic threats when actual threats begin to manifest themselves. We’ve been an entirely unserious country for the past four years and now have to hope it isn’t too late to turn this around.
  6. This worry is entirely predicated on the uncertainty of whether our Defense will, not just step up.. but even show up.. in the Postseason. I agree with you that the game being in Buffalo is massive. I also agree with you that we are a very different team now vs back then. So are the Ravens… since mid-season, they’ve had an elite level Defense, recognized by a pro-bowler on the DL, LB, at CB and S. Their Offense has been elite since that point, as has ours. Our Defense NEEDS to step up, because while it will be billed as Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson, just as it always is in the Josh Allen vs Patrick Mahomes matchups, it’s actually Josh vs the superior defense and Lamar (Pat) vs the defense that historically doesn’t show up in these moments (covid windstorm aside). That has to change this year now that we’re finally healthy, and we all know this.. as evidence by the tenor of this thread.
  7. Spencer Brown and Christian Benford are a Super Bowl run away from being household names in the NFL. Brown is every bit as good as the RT’s named and Benford, same for the CB’s… but it’s going to take more exposure for a lockdown corner to get recognized over a ball hawk. James Cook was robbed, but I think the way we spread the ball around — even within the RB room — may have played a part. A guy like Mixon is THE guy for the Texans backfield.
  8. Skattebo is absolutely unreal Legendary RB Draft with him and Jeanty this year
  9. Ok, anyway.. This doesn’t address the fact we have to hope we can get through the playoffs keeping Bernard, Milano and Williams healthy behind an undersized DT room. I hope they can. And if you look in the post above yours, you’ll see I’m not opposed to undersized, quick linebackers but to do so in conjunction with undersized gap shooting DT’s has given us enough evidence that injuries will always be a concern with this philosophy. Unless we bring back Ankou, these guys are playing behind Jones, Oliver, Phillips, Carter and/or Jefferson. Thats the bigger concern. Denver OL getting to the second level forcing them to shed blocks and make tackles on RB’s 3-4 yards past the LOS.
  10. I’m not opposed to drafting athletic undersized LB’s in Rounds 3-5 like they have, but that seems to be far more logical on a team that prioritizes big DT’s.. not a team that also wants quick, undersized gap shooting / pass rushing DT’s.
  11. Can we just, for once, hope to have KC injury luck for the Playoffs? Not sure why they’re listed in your post.. they’re getting healthy as ever right now. Only major injury they have is Rice, who they were able to replace with Hopkins.
  12. This sounds more promising than how Thad Brown and Joe Buscaglia framed it, but still concerning that he’s in this position as we’re a week out from getting ready for our first playoff opponent. Milano just came back off injury, Williams had an elbow he’s dealing with, now this with Bernard.. Undersized LB’s getting pummeled game in/game out due to undersized DT’s seems to be a common culprit for the issues we’ve been facing.
  13. I truly hope this is just coach speak and/or over-cautiousness, because if this continues.. a philosophy shift probably needs to occur with how we build this Defense.
  14. Pre-angry that they will let us down… again. However, a small piece of me hopes McDermott finally shows us what he can do with a healthy Defense when it matters. Up to this point, there’s always been an excuse. The only excuse he has right now is that they just aren’t good enough .. which I hear our podcasters discuss, and eh… They had 6M to give to a WR made of glass.. We paid Ed, brought back Daquan, spent a premium pick on a DT, brought back AJ, Smoot is solid, have Rousseau, Von in the Floyd role for the Playoffs. LB is in a far better position than last year with 75% Milano plus a healthy Bernard and Williams. Healthy Douglas, Benford and Taron give us one of the best DB rooms in the league. Rapp is just as good as what Hyde gave us last year and they’ll have to figure it out between Hamlin & Bishop (another premium defensive pick) I know we have an undersized defense, but much of that is by design. Thats what McDermott wants.. a quick, gap shooting front 7.. so figure it out. Tell me why we can’t expect them to step it up this postseason? We should, and McDermott can really change the narrative around him if they do.
  15. Ashton Jeanty runs like if Khalil Shakir was a yolked up running back - absurd contact balance
  16. Don’t care.. but the Pats seem like they’re likely taking Travis Hunter. So they can either take him where they are if they beat us or trade back with someone a couple spots behind them for more premium picks and still take Travis Hunter if we beat them. Logically, losing on Sunday makes way more sense.
  17. This is assuming he’d be coming back on a team friendly deal due to his comments. All we’d need to do is bring back Hollins & Ty and the same exact Offense comes back in tact for next year. Obviously this is predicated upon this group performing in the Playoffs. Would then allow us to shift focus on signing a decent DL piece at EDGE or DT and then go heavy Defense in the Draft. Id still draft a WR with one of our top 64 picks coming though, because Samuel is made of glass, Cooper Isn’t a long term plan and Shakir may or may not price us out. Fwiw, my only must resign right now is Rousseau. Shakir is really good.. he’s a slot with limited deep downfield ability. Bernard is really good.. he’s an undersized linebacker. Cook is really good.. he’s a running back. Benford is really good, but that’s the one position I trust us to figure out. What’s non-negotiable is building the offense and the DL.
  18. If it’s any consolation, the worst fanbase on social media is upset because they can’t rest starters by playing second on Saturday.
  19. I don’t know how much that would matter to Pittsburgh specifically. They’ve had TJ Watt and George Pickens banged up recently, both absolutely essential to them having a chance to do anything in the playoffs. They also, last matchup aside, have given Baltimore all sorts of trouble.
  20. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if after Baltimore beats the breaks off a Cleveland team that has clearly given up, that Pittsburgh empties the clip trying to beat Cinci to play at Houston instead of at Baltimore.
  21. They also almost guaranteed the Steelers have nothing to play for against the Bengals because the Ravens aren’t losing to the DTR led Browns.
  22. I get why they handled it the way they did, but giving the Bengals an extra day as a potential 7 seed is pathetic.
  23. If Bengals sneak in to play us in the Wild Card, they get an extra day of rest.
  24. Atlanta’s HC is a time management sociopath
