  1. Probably true. Non-cucked Bernie was similarly anti-establishment.
  2. Accurate summation of the indictment for anyone who’s personality does not revolve around Trump (positively or negatively)
  3. I don’t know that we’d be out of the woods under Trump.. He certainly wasn’t some fiscal conservative. That said, I do thing it’s worthy to consider: -What would energy prices look like under Trump? -Would Russia have fully invaded Ukraine? -Would he have curtailed some of the hyper-spending as we exited the pandemic and pushed the country in its entirety to open sooner? The last one, I’m not so sure on. The first two I think are worthwhile questions that absolutely have an effect on the inflationary environment.
  4. Yes, great idea.. let’s pay no attention to the true crimes going on within our govt, but let’s make it a norm to search out document-related & process crimes to take down political opponents. What could go wrong!? That isn’t dystopian and emblematic of a third world country, at all…
  5. Because I know the types of allegations they are bringing against him. Here’s the thing … I never called for Hillary to get locked up. Nor Obama. Nor have I been here calling for it to happen to Biden. Sometimes the public is better served from the powers that be not prosecuting former presidents/current opponents for the most inconsequential of “crimes”. Do you think our politicians do everything by the letter of the law? If so, please don’t bother responding. What he’s being accused of, can be in some manner leveraged against any number of people, current and former, in high levels of government. This is what you want to die on? This is your law and order? Ok… surveillance state, feds weaponized against citizens, unjust wars to enrich the ruling class, BUT this is your moment. This is where we MUST indict? You will not like where this goes..
  6. I have no idea - guess we’ll find out, but what he’s accused.. they are similar to what plenty of other politicians have been accused to of as well. Trump started no wars and has far less blood on his hands than Bush, Obama or Biden, yet he’s the one they go after… for documents. If you want this to be the threshold for prosecution of political opponents.. Welcome to third world governing.
  7. Or you pick and choose who to enforce the laws against. And that is where we currently stand. You know. I know it. And public sentiment is starting to shift as they wake up to it as well.
  8. Your shtick is all so pathetic. I post here enough for you to know I’m not a big Trump fan, and have firmly been in the DeSantis lane. We hardly have any MAGA folks in this board .. at least ones that are vocal. But we can trust our own eyes, and recognize what’s happening right now.
  9. What does J6 have to do with what I said? You really, really need to get over your Trump obsession, because your side’s frothing at the mouth over him is going to radicalize those on the other side to not just come after you, and your side equivalent to what we see being done, but 10x harder. And I’m here for it. Reap. Sow.
  10. I hope those cheering for this are excited for what this country is now becoming. Oh, do you not think these new precedents will be turned on your side? We’ve reached a point of Balkanization and mutually assured destruction. Enjoy the accelerated downfall portion of the Fall of an Empire.
  11. Meh.. I wanted Hopkins, but taking a visit to the Titans (either due to entertaining their offer OR using their offer to drive up his price elsewhere) tells me he's not exactly serious about winning and/or teams around the league view him as a potential "fall off the cliff" type of player. We'll see what he gets, and where he signs, but if I'm Beane and I can do Floyd for minimal cap gymnastics or Hopkins at say 15M per for multiple years... I'm taking Floyd (In the hypothetical contract comparison I just made up in my head)
  12. Jets honestly make sense, imo. They have cap space right now and wanting insurance for Breece Hall is a valid concern.
  13. The Armenians in LA, Somalians in Minneapolis, and now this … About to get real awkward for Dems. Minorities or LGBTQ+ Libs: Choose your fighter.
  14. "Has", as in past tense, I'd agree. I can't take Cowherd seriously when he talks about our OL as if it's last years OL. It's typical national talking head shtick where they only notice if we're the Chiefs signing a name like Taylor or Bengals signing Orlando Brown. Apparently signing a solid starting OG with upside, drafting one of - if not (the) - best OG in the Draft, along with upgrading the depth is too nuanced for the Cowherd's of the world to pay attention to. This DL, when healthy, has no excuse to not be a Top 5 DL in the league. Von, Floyd, Rousseau, Jones, Oliver, Ford & Phillips is a top tier unit, regardless of whoever else does anything (Settle, Epenesa, Lawson, Boogie). Now, where criticism for the upcoming season is valid, is that we have a ton of money tied up in Von and Floyd. Money that could've gone elsewhere (D-Hop) if we had hit on Boogie and Epenesa... or done something else with the picks.
  15. I have no idea what this tweet means. Are we over by 3-5M. Do we have over 3-5M in cap? Why more moves needed if the latter?
  16. Beane won't blow up the cap to sign high price players, but he will do so to get rid one of our best players. Obviously.
  17. Certainly a worry, and I hope the improved OL, run game, TE duo and WR depth could get us by if Diggs had to miss some games, BUT we're not Cinci or Miami who have a plethora of high level WR's. Chase missed time for the Bengals last year, no problem.. However, what if Kelce ever gets injured? Chiefs WR room full of WR2's functions at a high level when playing off Kelce, but he never gets hurt.. so what would that look like if he does?
  18. The only contender who isn't "mortgaging the future" as of now is KC. Things get tight for them in the next two years with deals for Chris Jones and an aging Travis Kelce on the horizon, but they hit it out of the park in trading Tyreek Hill for a boatload of picks and then drafting really well as of late. Everyone else is in a similar position to us.. Bengals have a ton of players due big money coming up soon. Dolphins have traded away a ton of picks and handed out massive contracts to guys as they try to maximize the rookie contract of Tua. Jets have Rodgers on the books, as it stands, for over 100M next year. Of course they'll restructure that, but they aren't exactly being conservative in their approach. Chargers have aging players around a QB they are going to have to pay soon. Just not sure why some are so worried about what we're doing. Beane hasn't gone "all in". He's gotten as close as you can without doing that, but it's pretty clear that he's holding onto draft picks and views this current window (Diggs, Von, Hyde, Poyer, Tre) as one worth going for it short term. I suspect, especially if we win a Super Bowl, there will be a minor cap reset in a few years as those players all move on, but nothing too wild given we still have draft picks and an exploding future cap.
  19. The Chiefs comparison is exhausting. I would, every. single. day., take what the Chiefs had around Mahomes last year over what we put around Allen. Elite OL vs our bottom tier disaster class OL. THE best offensive weapon in the NFL in Travis Kelce. Did we have an edge at WR? Sure.. but after Diggs, we had bad ankle Gabe and a whole lot of nothing. The skill position talent was pretty close.. Now let’s see what Josh could’ve done with a good elbow and Mahomes OL.
  20. Random.. I mean, sure, go ahead Jets.
  21. As long as Josh Allen is here, we'll be doing a lot of these 1 year deals. This is why teams with elite QB's can typically keep solid rosters around their QB.. We're not getting Harris, Ford, Rapp and Floyd to sign here for what they did if our QB is Kirk Cousins.
