The Toronto Blue Jays organization is absolute trash
SCBills replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They have to invoke normal LGB’s who simply want to live their life so that they can justify their defense of trans ideology targeting children. I see gay people all over the place on Twitter telling people like @Roundybout to leave them out of this. Political trans activists hijacked the movement and then use the LGB’s as their shield. -

Miami is good if he wants a 1 year deal. Their cap situation after this year is brutal.. and without the influx of draft picks to lean on. -

Injury concerns and attitude problems since he was at Florida. His talent is undeniable. If he hits, he hits … the type of player KC takes chances on. -

Stay the **** away from children! That’s it. That’s what you should take away from what I’m saying. Half the churches in this country drape the cross with rainbow cloth .. you don’t know what you speak of. You don’t seem to care about our cultural decay, so you don’t see it … and then you take the stance that everyone is the same level of hypocrisy. One side has ceded grounds for decades. Maybe you, and even I, believe some of that ground should have been ceded. However, the second they stand up, here you are acting like it’s all the same? Nah … most of the country was perfectly fine being annoyed at times but generally getting along … then rainbow capital targeted the children. And we all know why … it’s to fundamentally change the country by brainwashing and permanently altering those who depend on adults to look out for their well being. -
Did I say anything about Chick-Fil-A? Explain “you”, because you keep accusing “me” of saying things I’ve never said. Personally, I think the Chick-Fil-A story is a plant. If we’re to the point where we have to boycott Chick-Fil-A of all places … well, what’s the point then?… WHICH is the point. I don’t think this is organic. I think it was planted by someone smarter than many online to lessen the blowback on Target and Bud Light. What’s next, Hobby Lobby? Pick and choose. Make an example of a few. Let that be warning to all. Nobody has the bandwidth to boycott everyone. That said … the pushback is to DEI/ESG. As DEI/ESG - installed by the HRC and globalists at the WEF - is why we have corporations, media and educators attempting Mao’s cultural revolution on America. Change society from within. Target children and those children will lead the revolution. So, is every company with a DEI initiative targeting children? Not implicitly, but in allowing DEI/ESG/CEI to become our unelected financial regulators, we are ceding our standing as country rooted in the family to one rooted in the individual.. one who must worship at the altar of rainbow capitalism in order to participate. They prey on children for their end game.

Yea … I somewhat entertained a convo with you, because you present yourself as rational, but this post is a mask off moment. You have no idea if I’ve criticized Catholicism for their protection of priests who abuse minors. (I’m not Catholic btw) It must be easy to sit back and demand everyone be open minded as their cultural values are targeted nonstop… then the second they pushback, scream HYPOCRITE. Takes a lot of moral fiber to be the nuance guy in that battle.. -
You can’t really just pick and choose, unfortunately. I do get that you want to be nuanced here, and typically I respect that from people .. but you admit that surgery on minors & hormone therapy are over the line, correct? You admit, as do I, that those experiencing true gender dysphoria are going through something incredibly difficult and deserve our empathy and help, correct? So why create more children with gender dysphoria? Why push gender dysphoria on children? Why enable those with temporary confusion of a growing body to be indoctrinated with gender dysphoria programming? That is what is happening. We’re seen Europe and Australia try to reign this in as they are further along in the process and are starting to see nightmarish results with growing numbers of minors. This is a social contagion being unleashed upon our children via corporations and certain educators. This doesn’t stop until people rise up and make them stop. Corporations have financial incentives to push this on children through programming, advertising and activist groups (GLSEN), while pharma and hospitals take in money from these soon-to-be lifelong customers. As someone who values nuance, I can find none in this topic.

Would they?.. because the Dodgers are literally honoring a group that mocks Christianity. Nah, not reasoning when a cult-like religious group targets children. Theyve crossed the line .. I no longer view this as some rational conversation of hypocrisy and/or civility to be had. This didn’t just randomly become an anti-LGB thing .. I, for one, have supported Pride in the past and advocated for their equality in marriage and even adoption. This is different. This is targeting and harming the most vulnerable in our society. The culture shift we currently see is evidence that this is different .. and those we are pushing back against have all media and corporate power, so how do we stop this? It’s a start. -

I never attacked players for kneeling. I disagreed with Kap, but supported him doing it. He didn’t target children. I got turned off by the NBA’s over the top messaging and just stopped personally watching until recently. Never called for anyone to boycott them over social justice messaging. They didn’t target children. You’re talking to the wrong guy about this. There’s one group of people that corporate America does not allow you to remotely speak out against, even when they target children, and that’s the TQ+ religious fanatics. I’ll defend any ally I can get against corporate purification. Go to a Blue Jays game. I don’t care. They force their players to perform Maoist struggle sessions, so I will criticize them. Who demanded this? Not anywhere close to as many as supported his views. Sure, everyone is hypocritical .. I do not care anymore. Free market conservatives tried being hands off for decades and here we are. I’ll support anyone who fights back, and I’ll criticize anyone who serves as the high priests demanding compliance for the objection to any aspects of the TQ+ religion. -

The most glitchy app I've ever used. Just randomly stops working for no reason, won't reload, if it does it's somehow 30 minutes behind. -

Number 4 was always my biggest thought regarding KC. They make the most sense, imo... However, even with their strong positive cap position next year, a big chunk of that will go to Chris Jones, and then immediately following that, Kelce comes due... and given Kelce's age, it's tricky to backload a long deal. They are in good position, but their cap could be a bit of fools gold given those two and any potential validity to Mahomes wanting to redo his contract. They just traded for Toney, a recent RD1 pick on a rookie deal. They signed MVS who is a legit WR3. Then they drafted WR's in back to back years RD2. That's a good bit of draft investment in the position... and at some point, they're going to want to see what they have in Toney, Moore and Rice. We're in evaluation mode still with Davis, but more or less know what he is. Shakir was RD5 and Shorter *RD5... not the same level of urgency to make sure they get snaps. -

Why? We have six "likely" rosterable WR's and then Shavers, who they signed to a 3 year deal, along with multiple guys like Wayne, Patmon etc..? What would be the point of bringing in another non-Hopkins WR? -

Given we already have a comp 3rd in this next draft, and Gabe likely brings back another comp 3rd in the following draft, I’d say (should we sign Hop to a multi-year deal) that I would start listening at a 2nd Round Pick. -

From what I’ve listened to.. he’s not really a swing tackle. Primarily a RT only. If teams aren’t signing him to start, I doubt there’s a huge market for a swing tackle that can’t really “swing”. Makes sense for us given the high ceiling/low floor of Spencer Brown, and maybe Bates becomes backup C/LT with Shell as the insurance for Brown? Just giving my best guess. -

This year, yes. They have a good bit of money next year (as it stands) whereas we are over the cap already for next season and will likely have to do work to get under it again. Flip side, they also have some big contracts coming up in Jones this year and Kelce next year. -

Im pretty sure he’s contractually an Arizona Cardinal until then, no? Not sure if it’s of any significance, but even if he had a FA deal in place, I doubt he can announce it if Arizona still has the ability to trade him. -

Impact of Dobbs and Abortion Laws
SCBills replied to ChiGoose's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The leak about DeSantis re-coining the phrase “safe, legal and rare”.. if true.. Brilliant. It will stick, and people remember what that meant. That was the view of most Democrats 10 years ago. -
Impact of Dobbs and Abortion Laws
SCBills replied to ChiGoose's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Leaked DeSantis talking points allegedly address how he will discuss abortion as a Presidential candidate. Believes abortion should be “Safe, Legal and Rare”. SCOTUS returned the decision to the states. He signed a law that reflects the citizens of Florida. As President, states should decide their own abortion laws. IF this is how he does end up addressing it. He should neutralize the attacks from Dems on this issue. He’ll never win over those who are furious he, as Governor, signed a 6 week abortion ban in deep red Florida … but he will win Florida easily in a GE, and just needs to convince pro-choice folks open to him in the other 49 states that this isn’t a Federal issue any longer (which is accurate) and he won’t seek to ever make it one again. -
Beane deserves some criticism, but no one can really argue that he doesn’t continually upgrade the roster year after year. This year he faced a lack of cap and draft picks. Still made it happen. This is where having Allen and “the culture” comes into play. The ability to affordably sign guys like Ford, Harris, Rapp, now Shell. We always wondered how good teams stayed good … this is how. Cap will be tight again next year, and should we sign Hop… VERY tight, but Beane is loaded with picks for the ‘24 draft and could potentially gain more comp picks for ‘25 in Davis and Oliver… when we will likely still be cap strapped.
