You could absolutely indict Hillary, Biden or Abrams for any myriad of things if we’re applying the Trump standard. Do you know how indictments work? And, yes, as we’ve seen … emotion driven attacks work, and Republican DA’s will eventually feel pressure from the people they represent to fight back. You don’t seem to have a grasp on what sowing/reaping entails.

Lots of people who dislike Biden will be voting for him in ‘24. They’re not Biden supporters.. they’re anti (insert GOP). Personally, I’ll vote for any Republican over the vax mandate geriatric pos. The only candidate I actually support is Ron DeSantis.
-
What gets me is the fact they know they’re above the law .. Hillary Clinton goes on Maddow to laugh about this. Its highest level of gaslighting I’ve ever seen. Democrat politicians will get indicted soon.. and not because Republican DA’s have the balls to do it, but because they’re going to be forced to by the base .. and honestly, I’m here for it. I have zero faith in any of our institutions any longer. All I want is for them to be weaponized against those I dislike as well.

Brandon Shell Reportedly Intends to Retire
SCBills replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everyone says Basham, but I'm not sure what we plan on doing next year with no cap space and only Von, Ed and Rousseau under contract if Boogie is traded. AJE would have legitimate trade value.. nothing crazy, but probably enough to swing a player for player trade or an early Day 3 pick. I know the staff is high on him, but I'd be tempted to move him for a swing tackle before Basham. -

Certainly agree with this. If Torrence can win the RG spot, I have to think Ryan Bates is one of the best OL6 in the NFL. Most teams don't have anyone as good as him off the bench and most teams don't have much at tackle depth if their starter goes down. What is frustrating to me though.. back to back years draft RD3 RB's... then back to back years drafting RD3 LB's.. If OL depth is such a struggle, I just wish we would have prioritized it a bit more in recent years. Taking Torrence is a start though.. -

Brandon Shell Reportedly Intends to Retire
SCBills replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still have hope for Spencer Brown .. seems people are clinging to him having one bad practice and Joe Marino tweeting out that he couldn’t bend over to pick up his helmet one day. The rest of his camp reports have been pretty good. We certainly need better tackle depth .. I like the suggestion of sending out a Day 3 pick for Kelvin Beachum. Maybe one of these days Beane will take a swing on an OL that everyone here is clamoring for … he did pull the trigger on Torrence, so kudos there, but this fanbase wanted Humphrey, Smith and Dawand Jones … I don’t even want to entertain the hype Jones is getting at Browns camp right now. -

Interesting.. I wonder if this took the Bills by surprise or if he fell down the depth chart because of the play of someone like Gouraige?... From what I've heard of Van Demark, he seems far better at LT than RT. Doyle is intriguing if he can have some better injury luck... this attributes are off the chart. -
The potential for that group of core playmakers, especially if the OL is improved .. off the charts.

The thing I can appreciate about this draft class is that we finally look to have brought in some immediate high impact players. Dorian Williams may take some time because his easily translatable position is occupied by Milano and we decided not to put him into the MLB competition because, reasons, but Torrence and Kincaid... if they live up to their potential (best pass catcher in the draft / best guard in the draft) we're finally adding some desperately needed young high end talent that can give us cheap & immediate impact. I think by the end of their second years, we could have high end play from our Top 3 picks.. they all look the part. As for Shorter, Austin and Broeker... meh. Not sure I see a late round gem there like in past years - maybe Shorter if he can put it together. We needed to hit on early picks that can contribute early on in their rookie contracts, and I do think we may have finally done that.

Yea, let’s waste a prime year of Josh Allen because I want an offensive HC… Now you’re just being obnoxious.
-
I don’t at all “wish” for McDermott to fail. What I do need to see is for there to be a benefit to having a defensive minded HC over an offensive minded HC, in relation to going from program building to a place in the Super Bowl. Because, so far, it’s been a detriment to Josh and the Offense as we struggled for a year with Dorsey after Daboll left. And if Dorsey has a great year.. may be faced with the same issue again - hopefully, better prepared. With McDermott calling the defense this year, I’m hoping to see that benefit realized in that we have a dominant unit that performs at a high level in the postseason. And as we enter the Allen contract years, can at least be upper half if they have to go young/cheaper on defense but with the ability to step up in the playoffs as KC has done under Spags. I do hope he succeeds … but this year will go a long way in showing us if he can. (IMO)

I think there’s some pent up frustration towards the staff that comes out when talking about Tre. His comeback was strange.. to the point where even WGR’s pregame bordered on openly calling him out when we were still waiting for his return. Then he came back and was meh. Which was disappointing, but to be expected. If he’s an elite shutdown corner this year, great! If he’s not .. this is where the frustration comes in… KC just won a Super Bowl in a year that they revamped almost the entire secondary with young guys. We have a defensive guru head coach who, up to this point, has been given two All-Pro Safeties (some of this should be credited to him), a RD1 CB in Tre and then another RD1 CB a few years later in Elam .. who can’t seem to lock down CB2. We have a lot of money invested on defense and they’ve let us down ever year in the playoffs. Will this year be different? We all hope McDermott’s style will elevate them when it matters. But until then, a guy like Tre is an easy choice for cost cutting on a team that’s up against it, with a defensive minded HC who should be able to make due with less than top end talent all over the roster. If they refuse to let Elam or Benford play through mistakes because we require dependable, albeit ordinary play, at CB… don’t he surprised when fans start asking for less investment in the secondary.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 1
SCBills replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still want to see Kyle Allen get 1st team reps this preseason. Those Barkley loft throws look great in preseason, but his arm and mobility is seriously lacking. He has command of the offense and is very accurate, but in Buffalo.. with our wind and weather … yikes. At least Allen has some zip on his throws and a bit of mobility. Dorian Williams looks legit. I don’t know what the staff will do with him this year, but he looks every bit of a future stud linebacker. -

Yup. Personality vs Policy. Im in My 30’s. DeSantis is the best conservative of my lifetime. But he’s definitely a nerdy, more introverted type that’s forced to compete with a sociopathic rock star … and half the GOP base is obsessed with trolling, memes and crowd sizes, so… -

DeSantis For President in 2024?
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It doesn’t matter. Trumps base is delusional .. I’ve never seen anything like it. The only thing DeSantis can do is erase the feeling of inevitability that Trump has. DJT’s biggest influencers can’t debate on policy, so they mock and front run. Get rid of the ability to do that and weaknesses in his foundation will begin to show. -

Yea .. Ironically enough - an infusion of some more Dem leaning policies in poorer white areas may help them, just as an infusion of more right leaning policies in inner cities would do the same for black communities.
