Immigration Is Good For America
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The border has never been a major issue for me. Ive generally been for amnesty and have had a bleeding heart for people that genuinely migrate here for a better life. Yea… this is my top issue for the upcoming election. Absolute insanity right now, and it’s clearly with purpose by this administration. -
Is that really everything going our way though? I'm certainly not an apologist for the fact we somehow always have an excuse for McDermott in the postseason, but... Mahomes had Josh Allen-like postseason adversity once... against Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl. And got wrecked. Against us, their offense was fully healthy, facing a decimated defense. While we were missing our WR2 against an elite, mostly healthy, defense. And to my actual suprise.. Gabe was missed. Baltimore forced 5 punts in the second half. Lamar just couldn't do anything with it.

who is a must have on this list of Bills UFA?
SCBills replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
After watching our DL against KC, I don't think I see anyone as a must.. but I know that's short-sighted and Daquan was still working back from the injury. I have him as a must and Dane, Rapp, Ty, Edwards and Epenesa as wants .. but only if their minimal deals in the case of the first four, and team-friendly for AJ. Von looked like he should probably be a factor again next season, and with Rousseau in a contract year, Epenesa is a solid DE3 with say Jonathan and Lawson rounding out the group. I'd just rather not have to address EDGE this year. We know, no matter what we do with Daquan, we're going to need some DT's. Let's focus there this year. -
When Josh Allen is locked in, I believe he's the best QB in the NFL. He has far too much variance to actually be considered the best QB in the NFL right now though.. that goes to Patrick Mahomes. And you'll say that it's because of the hardware, but he has the hardware because of the work put in throughout the season. This is the first year that he's had to play a road playoff game. And even this year, where he was uncharacteristically up and down, they were able to bank enough wins to rest everyone Week 17. That matters. We had to go all out Week 17 and lost multiple guys for the playoffs. Then the following week, lost even more. Chiefs rested Week 17, and it's a good thing they did, because since then they've lost Thuney and Omenihu. Chiefs last year had a bye week and then played a weak Jax at home.. ta-da right into the AFC CG. Baltimore this year had two bye weeks, played a weak Hou at home.. ta-da right into the AFC CG. Is there anyone that can make Josh more consistent during the season? If so, it's worth exploring.

Didn’t it come out a year or two ago that Kelce voted for Trump? I remember this because it was a crisis in black Twitter around the time he and and his ex broke it off, given every black woman on there seemingly had a crush on him. I don’t know that it would dissuade her from getting political anymore than the fact Biden is incredibly unpopular and we now have years of experience under his presidency. It’s no longer the hope of Biden vs mean old Trump.

I have no issue with Taylor Swift, and honestly don’t mind the NFL coverage of her and Kelce. That being said, your post is true and illustrates the idiocy of our electorate (on both sides) Some people take their political cues from celebrities and others from people like Catturd.

Meanwhile over at Russel Street Report (Ravens Fan Forum)

Yup.. and he should've thrown another pick to Bolton that would've set the Chiefs up in scoring position. Bolton just dropped it. -
Playoff defense not just bad, next level awful
SCBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is an underrated point about Chris Jones. Not only is he a menace himself, but he elevates the other (good, not great) players around him like Karlaftis. And is the driver of that pass rush. But I'm starting to resign myself to the idea that they will always figure something out. They lost Hill, nailed the draft with all the extra picks and now we're lamenting Jones and Kelce. It is what it is. They will always be there in the end.. the Bills need to get better.. not hope for the Chiefs to get worse. -

Lamar is an issue for them. Elite regular season QB, but he can't perform in the big games against the other elite teams. We know Josh Allen can.. we just need other parts of the team to have better luck/pull their weight. Baltimore's issues moving forward are much more glaring.. and everyone knows why, even if they don't want to say it. -

Josh Allen was let down by his defense. The Ravens defense was let down by Lamar Jackson. -
I don’t think Lamar is that good when you force him to become a passer.. which is pretty important for an elite QB. So I have less of an issue with Harbaugh losing with Lamar than I do McDermott, repeatedly, with Allen. Allen is the only guy in this league who can outplay Mahomes when both are at the the top of their game. Lamar is the QB equivalent of our defense. Great in the regular season, but doesn’t have what it takes when it matters.

This year has done a lot to validate Beane as a top tier drafting GM. He has misses, but even the best do. As we move forward, he may need to focus a bit more on immediate contributors, because we can’t really afford to have Top 100 draft picks taking multiple years to become above average contributors. A two year wait for a fixture at RT for the foreseeable future is certainly worth it. Just need to mix those developmental picks in with some more immediate impact guys moving forward.

CJ Stroud throws for 350 yards and 4 TD’s as the Bills fall 38-35 on a last second 52 yard FG in the 2025 Divisional Round. (Insert McDermott excuse here)

2024 concerns at Saftey and Defensive Gloom and Doom
SCBills replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly don’t care about these guys who perform in the regular season and no show in the playoffs. Its not like we’ve been remotely close to securing the 1 seed anyway. Keep tinkering until you finally get a group that doesn’t fold in the years biggest game or just try to outscore everyone in the playoffs and hope your Defensive HC can out-perform the opposing DC just once. -
Greg Cosell - “I don’t think they have a number 1 WR”
SCBills replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
We’ll see if that defense matters on Sunday. Maybe it will. Maybe it won’t. Chiefs also had an elite defense and we tore it up. Their best defense was Bills self-sabotage. -
I think this is well said by Josh Shapiro, and I’d agree that the death penalty has no place in a civilized society.

Who are your top 10 QBs in the league
SCBills replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Herbert is the opposite of Allen, in the sense that people over-compensate for his shortcomings by blaming those around him. Very good QB. Elite talent. But something is missing in him, along with the issues around him. If anyone can change that, it would be Harbaugh though. -
Looks like Leonard Floyd won't give the Bills a discount to resign him.
SCBills replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great signing, had a great year, did nothing in the Chiefs game. Bye. Would rather sign AJE to a team friendly deal if we both sides are willing. -
Am I the only one not planning on watching Chiefs/Ravens??
SCBills replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll probably tune in, but either outcome is terrible. “Is Mahomes the GOAT?” and “Is Lamar now the best QB in the NFL?” are the two likeliest narrative outcomes. -

SCBills replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Taron Johnson. Yes, Shakir stepped up. He’s in Year 2. Hopefully I can FINALLY add another name to the list, outside Josh Allen, that step up in the postseason. Nah, we just lost 10 yards and the down because Kincaid had to save him.
