I honestly feel like i'm losing my mind when people defend him by throwing aggregated stats out. We all know he's a top tier deep threat and is capable of big games. 25% of his production last year was in one game. We have one reliable chain mover. A WR2 in a pass heavy offense should be able to be relied upon to help shoulder that responsibility. 3rd and 6 and our WR2 is out here running 10+ yard routes because he doesn't have the short separation skillset. ....and people wonder why our offense can go from explosive to dud so often.

We've played 6 games. 3 games we're a buzzsaw. 3 games our offense was TERRIBLE. Sure, average it all up and it looks good. Thankfully, unlike you, the Bills themselves know we can't win a Super Bowl like this, and need to get much, much better.

Ok, so if Gabe is what you believe him to be (a good WR2) We have an elite QB, elite WR1, good WR2 and a good OL. So what's the problem? Why do we struggle to move the ball so often, to sustain drives so often? You can give me all the stats you want.. Gabe isn't bad. He's one of the best deep threats in the league. He's good on the scramble drill. However All-22 after All-22 shows he does not uncover quickly and does not run a full route tree. But, hey, let's act like that's not needed for a WR2 in a pass heavy offense... So, whats the problem? Because we clearly have two very different views of Gabe... and I think it's becoming more and more obvious that the lack of a quick separation WR2 is a big cause for our Offense up and downs. You don't. So what is it?

Expectations of perfection are hampering this team.
SCBills replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol… we scored zero points against one of the worst teams in the league for 3 quarters last night. One week after looking similarly disjointed against the Jags. We’re 4-2, and almost dropped to 3-3, 99% due to our offensive struggles. Nobody is expecting perfection. Last year, yea… I think a lot of us struggled to enjoy the ride. So far this year, “the ride” has been 3 games of cruise control 80 down the highway, and 3 games of going 40 mph in a construction zone behind tractor trailers that keep trying to pass each other. -
Thats a lot of words to tell me Josh Allen should trust Gabe Davis to quickly get open on a 3rd and 6. He doesn’t. Because Gabe doesn’t. A WR2 should be able to be counted on to do that. Because Gabe doesn’t, and hes supposed to be our WR2, our offense is Diggs or bust. It’s why we’re so high variance… one game hot, one game cold. What did Gabe do against the NYJ, the NYG..? How did our Offense look? He had 6/100/1 against Jax and most of that production didn’t occur until very late. How did our offense look until very late? They are related. Gabe Davis defenders can act like this is all somehow not related and simplistically look at box scores, but the fact he can’t be relied upon to run a full route tree and uncover quickly on a 3rd and short / 3rd and medium is a big reason we’re so up and down.
-
How many catches does he average per game in a pass heavy offense? Seems like a weird statement to make based on what I posted.
-
Davis doesn’t win off the LOS quick enough to be a reliable chain mover. A WR2 needs to have that in their bag. It’s a huge reason our offense is so high variance.

Kaiir Elam is a liability any time he is on the field
SCBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thought he was better today. Bad penalty in the end zone. Got beat on a deep fade, but it also had to be a perfect throw. It was. Tyrod isn’t great, but we all know he’s mobile and throws a good deep ball. Was stride for stride on the other deep ball late and made a strong close & tackle on one of the final two drives. They clearly couldn’t target him like Jax did with Ridley, otherwise they would have. -
Allen also has to throw him the ball. There was a play on the sideline. Cook was wide open. Allen looks him off and ends up having to chuck it recklessly before he gets hit. Would’ve been a first down. Cook flowed perfectly on that scramble drill. Would’ve been a TD. Cook smoked his man in the Jets game for a TD. Allen underthrew it.

The Bills have Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, a good OL and a solid running back room. So what’s the problem? A) Dorsey B) Lack of a trustworthy #2 C) Both I think juries out on (A) although my patience is wearing thin. (B) though .. (B) is clearly an issue. Davis isn’t it. He’s a really good WR3 / Down The Field Threat. We have three options… Hope rookie TE Kincaid develops into that this season OR trade for a more well rounded WR OR Shakir/Harty become more reliably integrated in the offense as the season goes on. If none of those happen.. I fear we’re stuck with this unpredictable high variance offense.

Holy **** Josh, throw to someone other than Diggs -
So… the Jets defense apparently just goes scorched earth on elite QB’s. I don’t necessarily view Hurts in that category, but in media circles he’s certainly in that arena.

Almost feel a little bad for Mac Jones with how that final sequence played out.
-
Why wouldn’t we? Also, they were AWFUL calls.
-
What a terrible call against the Niners.. Refs with another bad call against Niners as I type that.
-
Losing to the Jets and Jags like we did is BEYOND frustrating when the Chiefs and Bengals win defensive slogs like this.
-
He’s not good, at all .. and I have no idea why so many people are determined to pretend that he is.
-
Malik Willis is not a serious person.
-
Rich Eisen’s “wowwwww” when someone gets hurt makes me irrationally angry.

I honestly don’t even want my team to rush the punter, ever. It seems the likelihood of committing a penalty outweighs the rare times a punt is actually blocked. At the very least, they seem to be equal outcomes. I suppose it makes sense for teams with bad offenses … for others, I could do without ever having to cringe when the camera pans away and I know one of our guys hit the punter.
-
Ravens and Titans taking the whole “playing football in Europe” thing a little too seriously.
-
Early on.. but this game looks miles crisper than the Bills/Jags slog.

"Suckers and Losers"---Trump on our GI's
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I hope we don’t. However the voters of this country seem hell-bent on Trump vs Biden being the only options. So, we have to choose. Perhaps if RFK has a chance, he could make a legitimate run at it, but it’s likely one of two terrible options. Policy wise: Trump clears Biden by a mile. A better economy, home grown energy, the only 4 years of my life with no new wars and policy aimed at controlling the border … something that was never a huge issue for me, but now very much is (as it is for many including those center-left now) -
First drive of the game. Ravens OL down with a knee injury. edit: looks to be ok after commercial break

Listen to Chamath in the clip I shared and tell me where he’s wrong.
