  1. Aren't Mayock and Gruden bestfriends going back 30 years?
  2. I'd love the pick. White could basically be a younger and more talented Alexander. There'd still be room for Milano and you'd be set at the position for as long as you wanted to pay them. Plus they say White is a general type leader and tough guy, which I think we're missing.
  3. No. He's still cheap. I'd start Nick in 2019 though. Nick is better for their offense but not as talented as Wentz.
  4. If they get lucky Devin White LB, LSU is on the board. He might be the 2nd/3rd best player in the draft.
  5. Also a lot of the reason JA has a poor QB % is because he attempts these throws. If he takes the check down on 3rd and 25 he'd probably have a 65%.
  6. These are the plays I think he needs to work on most. He needs to be smarter and not have this willingness. This is where QBs turn into Tony Romo and become known as a bonehead turnover machines. Don't be a hero. Take the short pass on 3rd and 25 and live to play another play. Don't put your team in a bad position because you're trying to play hero ball. That said, I love his competitiveness.
  7. Its the same for most young QBs. In the offseason teams watch all your tape and get all your mental tendencies based on down and distances, same thing they do to coordinators. They make plans on defense around taking away what you do best. If you can overcome that you're on the road to becoming a good player. If you can't you bust out.
  8. Contested catches and he might not have great awareness in terms of being a shutdown corner. He's still a very good corner but he might be more like a better version of Thomas Smith.
  9. It's none of that from my perspective. White loses the ball or it seems that way on throws around, above, behind his head. If you throw the ball while he's in chase it's like he never see it. Same catches he gave up to Gronk and Green last year. Teams seem to be throwing those throws on him more since Houston. Just my observation. Not saying it's 100%, but it's just what I've noticed.
  10. No. The types of throws. Every team that beats him has beat him on the same throws.
  11. He's been giving up some tough catches sure but if you look at it its all the same style of catches he lost to AJ Green on last year. Probably the book on him now.
  12. Foles is better for their team. Wentz is better for individual stats.
  13. dave McBride wants to argue Beane vs Whaley because he was just wrong about Beane drafting Jones. I wasn't even talking about Jones I was talking about why it appears LVE is better than Edmunds. Edmunds is an athlete and he will either get much better than LVE as he grows or he will stay what he is because that's who he's always been. Donahoe had the same draft philosophy, draft the best athlete. I see Beane as that type of drafter based on his only draft with the Bills and to some degree the players he's signed as undrafted and low level free agents.
  14. Facts Beane was not in Buffalo or employed by the Bills at that time.
  15. So the defensive HC forces him to run a ***** offense and fires him for it?
  16. This is what you believe. In reality Beane wasn't in Buffalo when we took Jones.
  17. Beane drafts like Donahoe, he takes athletes over proven players betting on upside. If there is no upside and the athlete is what he's shown in his college career you will always have less talented draft picks who play better in the NFL.
  18. Bills ran QB draw with him this season. They probably should run more options plays with him, it would help their run game.
  19. And a strong side LBer. But I think in this defense they need a boundary corner more than an in the box safety.
  20. He is interesting as a player. I never seen Bobby Douglass but I would say he's like a lot of players I did see. Early Steve Young. Early Steve McNair. JA is like a combination of several players. I don't think there has ever been a player exactly like him. I do think his best comp is Kaepernick, but I think JA is stronger and while not faster I think JA is a better athlete. It will be interesting to see what he becomes and what they can do with him. If they're smart enough to do something with him. Looking at him I would have like if the sat him for a year. Not because of his readiness but because they could have come out with a better team and a surprise QB and made a run like the 49ers did with Kaepernick. JA talent is that good that they could have made a SB run with him in a RPO offense. Now teams know what he is so even with better talent next year they'll have tape on him. In theory anyway.
  21. How many of those runs failed because the WR got beat or took a penalty destroying the run call? Some of it is coaching but the players got dominated physically as well.
