  1. He's been good so far this year. They should use him in more 5 and 6 techniques on the outside. He's never going to be good for some people because they only see sack numbers. Five to eight sacks for Lawson would be great for his position. Bills have to keep using him inside as well. He could be Brandon Graham type for them.
  2. I think a worse trade is getting KB for anything more than a 7th. He's a bum. They should already know he's a bum for working with him for three years. It just goes to show Beane's talent evaluation, or his lacking in that area.
  3. If you believe in the men in charge. Yes men holding a course is wasted time.
  4. I think most of Rex's firing had to do with behind the scenes stuff. He was a poor leader. He let his players walk all over him. They didn't have direction or leadership as men from Rex's style. I don't think Rex understood or taught accountability. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000483912/article/jace-amaro-jets-had-tardiness-issue-under-rex-ryan
  5. For me this is about never having a GM with any power in the organization since Polian. They keep hiring poor GMs who will acquiesce to the owner. Whaley had zero power. Beane is a stand in to McDermott. If they want to fix it, they have to do like the Steelers. Get a good talent guy and let him build it to his liking. Leave him alone to his theory on both sides of the ball. To me this is the biggest problem going back to Ralph. You can't keep changing a good football man because he makes a bad draft pick. I think they fired Whaley too soon. They could have kept him and added Beane as President of operations. Beane is not a GM. He's never worked in talent. He didn't work in talent as a coach or scout like most GMs. Whaley had an eye for talent he was just a poor personality type and he missed on QB. I think a GM should get to miss on 2 or 3 high draft picked QBs before he's fired.
  6. Not true, they're good friends. They hired him so Kubiak can become his OC when/if he's healthy. Problem is Kubiak never became healthy enough to become his OC.
  7. I disagree with this. I don't think it's backward, it's just hard to build. Just as hard as landing a great QB. Teams have done it. Sea. Minn. Balt. Pitt. Cincy. If they're going for a power defense and 20 passes type team they are closer to that style than having a great passing offense with a great pocket passer.
  8. He's big and slow, runs poor routes and has iffy hands. I remember coming out people thought he was never going to be anything more than a backup 3rd receiver type.
  9. IDK. He said he wanted to OC because HC'ing is too much on him physically. It's been speculated he'd OC for Denver when he's healthy enough.
  10. It's not about the appointment. Terry wanted to watch tape. He wanted the GM to sit down and explain to him what he's looking at and how to evaluate players. He wanted to be involved in the football side for which he has zero expertise. It's meddling ownership and it almost always fails. Look around the league. The best owners understand they are not football people and take a step back to a guy running the show. So far Terry hires yes men.
  11. This is not true. Allen can become a franchise QB and they can both be fired because they've tied themselves together and Beane in incompetent as a GM. How many coaches has Rivers had? Matt Ryan was very good but the HC was a relic and got fired. Luck should be a star and his HC also got fired because he was a relic. I don't believe in Beane and if that means firing McDermott I'm on board because he tied himself to his friend who is inept.
  12. Not really. When they fired Whaley Terry said it was because Whaley wouldn't allow him to walk in the building and talk football whenever he wanted to. He said with Beane/McDermott he can just show up and they'll stop what they're doing to talk football with him. Said Whaley made him have appointment. So some of the hiring process is whoever makes them feel good. Same with Rex. Rex was good at talking them up. Some of it has to be on the owners for the type of people they want to hire. They need this kiss ass culture where ownership is worshipped. I can't ever see them hiring a football man who does his job and tells them he's got it. Looking at their hires so far I'd say this is the type of organization they want. Same as Ralph. Same as Jerry Jones. Some owners want credit and could never deal with a coach like Belichick or Jimmy Johnson. A lot of owners are very smart people and just can't imagine something they put so much into is too hard for them to control. They're controlling personalities and in their lives being controlling got them to a position of NFL ownership.
  13. Also notice it's only because Beane and McDermott traded TT. Also notice Rex had a pretty good football evaluator in Doug Whaley.
  14. It's not because they're 40. It's because Beane is inapt. They could have hired a good GM with experience at picking players and building a team but instead they allowed McDermott to run the organization his way, which included hiring his friend.
  15. Same. Keep Taylor. Play Allen when the offense is struggling, build his confidence on the field and start him the last three or four games. Terrible in relation to what? What we have or league starter standard?
  16. I think most people use Peterman to show the awful decision making in the front office.
  17. This is idiotic. KC knew they could never win a SB with Alex Smith but they were smart enough to keep him until they had something better.
  18. Yeah IDK. You bench him because you drafted a QB #1 and that QB is better. I don't think the Bills have a better QB this year. Maybe Allen becomes better in time but for this year TT would be the starter if he was here.
  19. Apparently KC was scouting Mahomes for years. That's the story coming out of KC anyway. They believe he would be good for years before he was drafted.
  20. Play Tyrod until someone was better. So far no one is better than Tyrod.
  21. My opinion, Glenn is a better LT. Dawkins is good and can be a functioning LT but he gets beat far too much. Kawann Short? He might be McDermott's prototype. The only reason we should take a different position from my prospective is because DT is loaded. If they have the 2nd pick or 3rd pick in the 2nd round get the DT there.
  22. Bosa if we're high enough. If not, LT before DT.
