Please Bills hire him. Please. Please. -
Big Picture: I am optimistic
CuddyDark replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He could be a good player. Part of me wishes he didn't play this year and we came out with a RPO offense with better linemen and WRs. -
Jordan Jenkins threatened to kill Dion Dawkins

Hopefully the Bills wise up and make Dawkins their LG. -

I still have to see the offseason. Beane could still fubar this thing. -
What Was the Primary Reason the Bills Lost (NYJ)?
CuddyDark replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Robert Foster made two or three bad plays and none of them was play calling. He just got flat out beat physically by 33. Dion Dawkins for the 3rd or 4th week in a row was godawful. Both guards got whipped all game. They got beat physically and it didn't even matter what play they called. I will cede the FG. It was a dumb call. -

Nope. This was about toughness and the players got whipped. -

Please cut him and get 2 or 3 young backs in here. -

They set a tone for the entire game. 46 & 33. Their Dline was playing well but it was those two who changed the game after we scored the first 14. -

The offense allowed 46 to take cheap shots on their QB and offensive players all game and no one stood up to him. They need an enforcer to take care of players like him. Also 33 bullied the receivers all game and no one was tough enough to push back against him. -
There will be several first round G and TE and DL all of whom I'd take before a RB. Plus Love looks good sometimes and like a 3rd round back sometimes. Probably could trade down into the 20's. How about Bills trade down with Oak for 24 and 26 before we draft him? Right now we're 5th? You'd take Love 5th?

Baldy's Breakdown of Allen vs. Miami

This video is exactly why I don't listen to anything he says. -
Should we go after Sam Mustipher?
CuddyDark replied to Joeziehmer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's not short or light. That's the perfect size for a C. -
Bills have released Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes

Good. They need all day runners at the position with JA at QB. -
When JA rookie deal is up he'll probably get 200M. If he continues to progress. My plan would be to run the crap out of him like 49ers with Kaepernick or Panthers with Cam. Both of whom made the SB in their rookie deal. I would build an offense with smaller receivers, by smaller I don't mean short or tall, just runners, athletes. I wouldn't have one possession receiver on the roster. I'd get two pass catching TE, a power back and a 1st round or high priced C. I'd play for the SB in JA rookie deal and worry about his development as a pure passer later. Not that I wouldn't develop him just that I wouldn't make it my priority that he becomes Dan Marino. Big running QB's are hard to stop. Eagles with Foles running RPO were actually a better team.

Very curious to see what Allen can do with protection.
CuddyDark replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's so big all the sack numbers went down. I still see that play where he actually hurt JJ Watt's shoulder just by pushing him away from a sack. -
If McCarthy runs his rigid offense I'll take McDermott.

Noah Fant - TE Iowa - Should Bills pick at 8
CuddyDark replied to Sanners's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd do it. Or trade down into the early teens and do it. They could get a good TE in FAs but I don't think he'd be the kind of receiver Fant is. -
Noah Fant - TE Iowa - Should Bills pick at 8
CuddyDark replied to Sanners's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He looks special. This might be a good FA crop for TE. They have a punter on IR. -
Or, they should just get rid of throws like this until he hits them in practice. In games they should be running crosses and posts and curls so he can throw those frozen ropes he's good at. Right now that throw should only be in the offense once teams force it. I just don't see him as a traditional pocket QB. I'd do what he does best and force teams to stop it. What you want is for him to perfect what he does best. Get him some all day runners at WR and a couple TE, C and a G and do what he does best all game long. Force the defense to change what they do to stop you.
-
We're not playing for this year. You job IMO is to let him be JA and build around that and come out with an offense next year that is all about what he does best. You can't force him to be a player he's not. Not at this point in his career. Working on that in the pocket stuff is in the offseason and on his own time with receivers after practice. For the Bills it should be this is how we win with JA as our QB.

What is Clay doing 8 yards deep in the end zone?
CuddyDark replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They were playing a last play of the game type play but because of the throw Clay actually had time to catch it outside the endzone for 1st and goal with just under a min to go. -
Cam took a lot of cheap shots but they keep changing the rules to protect offensive guys. Early in Cam's career they didn't have this blow to the head rule. They didn't have this landing on the QB rule. Defensive players are losing some of those big hits just by the rules on what you can and cannot do to offensive players. I agree with it being a risk but at this point I'd let him run as much as 10 times per game.
-
I agree this will become the blueprint but he's just so big IDK if it will work. This is the blueprint for Cam but the LBers and DBs are just not big and or quick enough to stop him. JA is the same. He put a great move on Kiko. He's got some good lateral movement for a man his size. Plus if you play zone vs a running QB receivers sit in the zone like they do on the Steelers. Runners who can through change the defense, but you have to let him run or at least adlib.
