  1. He attempted what was called. TT ran two different WCOs in his time here. First year was what we're in now which is the modified Mike Holmgren offense which calles for deeper passes and power running. In the last two years we ran the Walsh pure WCO which is shorter passes and power running. TT is not a great QB and had a limited future but the OC choice was puzzling last year. Allen is a Cam clone. Could he learn to throw from the pocket and be a pocket passer? Sure. Farve and Steve Young did learned to throw from the pocket. I'm not saying he can't or won't. Just saying for now they should just run the same plays they ran with TT. Which is what I said after they drafted him.
  2. Would have been better to start TT until the bye and let Allen come in and be a better version of TT which is what I've said he'll be all along. Maybe a Cam clone, but not a pocket passer people said we needed when they let TT go. If he runs for 40+ per game they'll be better for it, I mean they'll be the same team we had with TT.
  3. I'd say build inside out, even on offense. C, OG, OL, TE all before WR.
  4. Shootout? I remember that game differently. Luck barely threw the ball at all. Ints, fumbles, punts. That's what I remember.
  5. There's a difference between wanting a player to succeed and having blinders for that player. Everyone of us want to win the SB but that doesn't mean we have to say JA is great and the Bills are better without TT when that is just not true.
  6. The conclusion I draw from his 8 year career is TT would be the best QB on the Bills roster and we'd probably have 5 or 6 wins. No way in hell TT throws 3 Ints in Indy or the 7 Peterman threw in his games. It's more likely TT would have 300+ rushing yards and 2INT at this point. Exactly. Telling the truth about Allen doesn't mean love for TT. TT would be a better player right now but that doesn't mean he's a good player.
  7. I agree for Beane. I'd give McDermott a real GM who takes his QB but if it's all on McDermott then I'm with you.
  8. I don't believe in hope. How many did TT throw in 3 years?
  9. We'll they don't have TT this year and the QB'ing is worse not better. I'd bet they don't make the PO or go .500 without TT.
  10. The thread is a comparison of TT and Bills QBs. It's not about the Browns. You duck TT vs Bills QBs because you don't like the answer. If TT was with the Bills, he'd be better than the Bills QBs meaning they'd win more games. The Bills not the Browns. Would the Bills be better with TT is the question. The answer is YES.
  11. Absolutely, but if that one thing helps break a 17 year PO drought I'm all for it.
  12. I think I've answered this several times. TT would be better than the Bills QBs. TT is not better than Mayfield.
  13. We had the Packers on the ropes too. And in other games I don't think we have as many turnovers so in a close game who knows? You guys are the same people who told us the offense would be better if TT left.
  14. I thought it was dumb from the start. If you have a thing a player does well do that until you get a franchise player in that position. Yet to be seen if JA is a franchise QB so for me it's another reason I believe this leadership is inept. TT at worst could be the backup and mentor for JA.
  15. Absolutely agree 100%. Because they tried to make TT a pocket QB and took away the one thing teams feared in his play. He was more of a scrambler then a planned runner in 2017.
  16. It's not about McCoy vs TT it's about the yards TT would average as a runner along with McCoy. TT averaged around 35 rushing yards per game. I'm not doing the math but if we say he adds 200 rush yrd to this point, we'd be top 5 rushing. 6th in rushing.
  17. Actually yeah. He'd run out of the pocket and up field for 5 to 20 yards. Teams would have a mush rush against TT. The DT wouldn't even rush him the way they rush pocket QBs. He helps the line and the backs because he's a running threat.
  18. No because we'd have a better running game and less TO.
  19. I'd pay 20M vs the garbage we've seen this year at QB.
  20. McCoy is a great back but if he's the only focus on offense he has a season like we've seen this year. If you have two probowl backs which is basically what they had with TT and McCoy it's takes a man out of the rushing lanes and makes it easier for McCoy. The only other way to help McCoy is to have a good passing attack. We don't have even an average passing attack, accept for the Barkley game.
