Who are your top 10 QBs in the league
dma0034 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
S Tier: Mahomes A Tier: Allen, Burrow B Tier: Stroud, Lamar, Hurts C Tier: Love, Dak, Goff, Herbert, Cousins, Purdy Non ranked: Rodgers Heres how I look at it: Mahomes is the best QB on football right now with the best pedigree. A Tier: only 2 QBs in the league where if you go against the Chiefs in the playoffs there isn't a huge drop off. B Tier: all have had different degrees of success but have a big glaring question. For Stroud: great rookie year but struggled against elite defenses. Lamar: great regular season success but playoff underperformer. Hurts: Amazing last year but struggled at times this year. Tier C: QBs that you can win with but the team around them has to be stacked. -
Det @ SF Game Thread (Please keep the Bills stuff out of this thread)
dma0034 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't understand why every year I believe I have better game management skills than most coaches. I can't believe Campbell didn't kick the FG up 24-10 to get to a 3 possession game. Absolutely idiotic. -

Campbell being aggressive cost them this game. Should have kicked the 3 to go up 27-10. Should have kicked the 3 when you had 4th and 3. Game should be 34-30 49ers -

I said this a lot during the MVP talks. Lamar has been absolutely blessed this year with an elite defense that creates a lot of turnovers and hurts the opponents. Outside of the Rams game all the Ravens game I watched were: Baltimore wasn't great offensively and the defense flipped the page and the offense started punching down. I think when it was 17-7 Chiefs it was the first time all year the Ravens were down by double digits. That's absolutely crazy imo. Flowers did fumble a TD but ultimately the MVP showed exactly why he shouldn't be MVP ever: he isn't an elite passer and every team that contains his rushing beats him in the playoffs -
It's a combo of both. Bills lack talent on Offense (especially WR) because the coach is Defensive and wants Defensive players drafted. The problem I have with coaching is the postseason performance of the defense. There never seems to be adjustments just excuses that players were hurt. I also think McDermott coaches scared a lot. You have the only QB in the league that when you play against Mahomes there isn't a definite advantage for KC and you have blown it 3 times in the playoffs. First time I thought he played scared. Kicked FGs when he needed to go for it. Then your defense let Tyreek Hill score on a long TD, completely botched a 3 point lead with 13 seconds left and then couldn't stop the Chiefs in OT. Third game you stopped Mahomes from getting points once and got gifted a TO on a fumble at the 1 yard line. You go for a fake puke instead of allowing Allen to work magic and trust your shaky kicker to make a FG.... which, even if good, would have given the ball to Mahomes who would have torched your defense again. The reason I blame the coaching is simple: you have an elite QB and you don't use him as you should.

Patriot WR arrested for illegal gambling - Over 8,000 bets!
dma0034 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't believe it. The Patriots are known for their integrity! -
Unfortunately for Thad Lewis we have a QB that already owns the Dolphins so there isn't much of a need for the Dolphin slayer

Time for the Bills to interview Matt Patricia so they can cross out a DC and OC interview.

That's the absolute worst case scenario and it's still better than giving the ball back to Mahomes with 2 minutes left and 2 TOs. Hell, Bills could throw 2 TE screens after the 1st down run and go for it at the 1 or 2 yard line with 20 seconds left.

I wish I could go bump the thread after his 1st year here where I said trading for him was a mistake and Justin Jefferson would have been way better and everyone jumped all over me. I don't think he is a cancer. I don't think he is done. I think either he had an injury he played through or didn't like Joe Brady or the playcalling, I'm not sure what happened but once Dorsey was gone Diggs fire seem to be gone. It's just so odd. He isn't going anywhere next year but the Bills need to draft 2 WRs in the draft. Probably on the 1st round and 2nd round. They need a #2 next year and a #1 and #3 the year after (assuming Shakir becomes the #2 after next year)

I don't think Gabe Davis was missed... honestly Sherfield did a great job stepping in and dropping passes like Gabe

I'd take: Belichick, Harbaugh, Vrabel or Ben Johnson. Bills would probably have their pick outside of Harbaugh. I think McDermott is a good coach but not a great one. -I think the first time the Bills played the Chiefs in AFC Championship game he played scared. -I think he cost the Bills the game in 13 seconds. Shouldn't have kicked it out of the endzone but even if Frazier calls the defense you are the HC. You see the Bills are defending the sideline when the Chiefs realistically only had 2 plays and had 2 TOs. Bills should have had 1 player rushing and gone in a complete shell zone with the other 10 players. -Bills defense was unable to stop the Bengals rushing attack -Bills got exactly one stop against Mahomes. Bills got lucky with a fumble out of the endzone but you ultimately trust Bass to kick a 44 yard FG when he barely got the 30 yarder earlier. I saw the Dolphins put up a better fight on defense last week against the Chiefs. I saw Belichick with players off the street play well against the Bills. I'm tired of the injury excuse. I'm tired of wasting the years of the best player in Franchise history. This feels like Hasek with the Sabres. You have a freak player that can dominate but can't win because of the team and coach. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years Allen requests a trade.

The Million-Dollar Question Sticking in My Mind
dma0034 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Aaron Rodgers, while he was a Packer, never threw to a 1st round WR. It was a big thing. Since Allen has been drafted the highest a WR has been picked is the 4th round (Gave Davis). One in the 5th (Shakir). You have arguably the most talented QB in the league and you have given him nothing. Ironically enough the one Offensive Position that the Bills draft a lot (RB) is the one that takes the ball outta your QB's hands the most. -
Mahomes wouldn't have any TOs. 13 seconds happens because the Chiefs have TOs and the Bills defend the sideline. 30 seconds with no TOs and you have to go 45/50 yards. I'll take that risk over him having 2 TOs and 2 minutes needing a TD. Think this way: He needs to go about 1.5 yards per second to beat the Bills with it tied. Or he needs .5 yards per second to beat the Bills with the Bills winning by 4. That's the logic.
-
It's not even about getting a TD later. You simply cannot give the ball back to Mahomes. Even if that means a closer FG then that's the play. I would rather the Bills tie it with 30 seconds left then give it to Mahomes with 2 minutes left
-
In order I'd like: 1. Ben Johnson 2. Jim Harbaugh 3. Bill Belichick If the Bills got Belichick it would be on Beane to nail those WR picks in the next draft.

Hard to come up with names in blowout losses to the Chiefs and Bengals. Don't forget the Too Many Men on the Field loss.... I know it's not a playoff game but yeah
-
That's a loss. Hell even Peyton Manning, when he was with the Colts, shaved the clock because he didn't want Brady to have time. Romo literally on the next play said the Chiefs should do Cover 0 because you don't want the Bills to run the clock.
