  1. The more I think about it, if Buffalo doesn't draft a DT at 30 they should wait til day 3. Too many draft-able DT this year for there not to be numerous options available. 2 down run stuffers, smallish 3 techs, edge/interior tweeners I expect will all be available. The players available on day 3 would be day 2 players in almost any other draft. Draft a 1 T and either a tweener or 3 tech. Doing too many mocks to count. The picks in the 100’s are littered with DTs. I know it’s not real and players available on mocks doesnt mean they will be there in real life. But every team isn't drafting a DT. Most that do wont draft multiple. Its a very strong likelihood a player or 2 on the radar at 60 will still be on the board at 108. With 1T as the need, that is a position that drops.
  2. With Williams offering some pass rush ability I think he goes higher than his projection. The perceived 2 down player will go lower. I think Grant like Sweat will go later than expected. Im fairly confident he will be available at 30 or close enough if they want to make a slight move up. Im not sure that is something they will do. I think an elite 1 T elevates the dline. A 2 down run stuffer will be available on day 3 with the class being so deep. A wr with #1 potential, a edge pass rusher and a starting cb are all priority over 1T. I wouldn't reach for any position over it. If they have players rated similar to say Grant at those positions those will be the pick.
  3. Jaylin Noel is the guy I want day 2. Can play inside or out. Shakir with a bit more explosiveness.
  4. He is not fast. He has a knack for getting open down field. Is also good tracking a ball down field. At X runs a full route tree and will be able to beat man due to his route running. A piece not The piece. Slot and Z with Shakir and Samuel playing both. Coleman big slot and X. That is a decent 4. I expect a fairly high pick draft to add. Palmer fits a need and also has some untapped potential for more.
  5. He told him before he signed. Beane made a choice to move forward.
  6. He is a 4-3 end. The confusion is he was a converted 3 tech from college and rookie year. Last few season played OLB. Is at 260’s now. He is a 4-3 end. With experience in coverage he will be a part of Buffalos rush package on 3 downs. He will be used in a few different spots to help isolate Oliver, Groot and Bosa in one on one match ups.
  7. His interview with cover 1 goes deeper into it. His intent and purpose with his rush and simulated pressure is a good listen. I think he is a very good addition. Wasn’t aware of him previously. More I have found out more of a fit he is. 3 down player. I understand the potential and contract.
  8. Draft one with one of the first 3 picks. Current group with a rookie transforms the room more so than another 1 year flyer.
  9. Returned a kick last year. Could see them trying him at PR. Special teams are his path to the roster. What he can bring to the offense is limited but more than what Codrignton brings to the defense. More likely he is cut and the money will reflect that.
  10. Camp body at guard. Maybe he surprises, probably not. Beane has found some cheap guys who can play oline.
  11. Jackson or rookie. Probably rookie.
  12. I think that was an Elam problem. The elevation of Benford shows they dont really care about draft position. More zone specific db. Doesn’t fit the mold of a Beane first rder. Jackson is the floor and allows the rookie to come along naturally.
  13. Can play a little. In a more zone/quarters secondary he is ok. I think Cb is pricey and scheme fit questions for many. 1 of the first 3 picks should be corner. Think they can find one on day 2 and be happy. If they like one enough at 30 im fine with it. Jackson is a fine player. I think the Bills play tomorrow Ingram might start above him.
  14. No, he is 100 direct competition for KR. Likely leader in the clubhouse with the ability to play some wr and viable on game days. I have always been intrigued by him.
  15. Finding a solid depth player who is a good return man is tricky. Offensive gadget guy is the closest you can get usually. Codrignton was a good returner. Wont be easy taking that.
  16. Elam would have to play well to qualify into the comp formula. Imo Buffalo would cut him if a trade wasnt found. After the Chiefs game he wasn’t going to be on the field for the Bills again. Something for him and the trade negates the dead cap if cut. Avoid the late day 3 picks move up to middle day 3 if possible.
  17. No. Hollins big wr role will be Coleman or Kincaid. Palmer will take most of the traditional X reps. Shenault will battle for KR. In the offense he would be a larger body move/gadet player. Some of the stuff they did with Mckenzie and last year Samuel. If he is willing to cover kicks he could be a game-day player. They are a mess. They wouldn't even be able to tank tight.
  18. I dont think that was a red flag. The system and the player not fitting was. The things that made him a first rd talent were things Buffalo didnt ask of him right away. Elam was a developmental prospect at zone corner. In a more man heavy scheme he likley plays better out the gate. Now his confidence was shot and a change required. Liking the kid, work ethic, and athlete doesnt mean he also fits your scheme. Buffalo needs to find a guy with off coverage instincts with enough athleticism to play man. The reverse is much harder to develop.
  19. BPA. Not having big needs takes that out of the equation. Draft the top players on the board. Bolsters depth. Avoid the getting sniped on Mcduffie settling for Elam fiasco. Bosa doesn’t stop them from doing anything at edge same thing with Ogunjobi doesnt stop them from draft a DT. Adding a high pick to either room vastly changes the perception of each room. 2 -3 deep with quality players is a vast improvement.
  20. Cant compare a 30 year old who is viewed as a 4th or 5th wr to a guy projected to start outside and in his mid 20’s. Little rich for my blood but was perceived as one of the top available wrs. Compared to Darius Slayton both signed for the same money. Robinson is similar to Hollins to NE both 2 years 9-10. 12 is going rate for a starting caliber WR. Palmer will be on the field alot. Correct. Also, based off other contracts and his projected value its market value leaning slightly under.
  21. Flyer on a player with draft pedigree. Probably had a good internal grade on him. Untraditional player. Not a refined route runner. Best chance for him is winning KR job and being a depth wr with a jersey on game days. Needs to be a gadget guy. I dont see Brady scheming touches for him. Alot of players on offense I want to see get the ball first.
  22. No. More so where Cooper is. I expect them to draft one too. Palmer is a solid NFL WR. Wins outside. Is proficient vs man coverage. That was a need. Palmer is an answer to that. Palmer doesn't prohibit another wr move, but he raises the floor for the position.
  23. Big need very good player.
  24. How much does that save? Should be a pretty good saving cap wise.
  25. Very possible all the trade fodder at Edge was simply contract pandering. Outside of a big trade Bosa was the best player available. Yes, his recent injury history is concerning. Paying him 50 cents on the dollar is the price he paid for it. Playing 50% of snaps vs 70 plus he played most of his career could help him stay healthy. 3rd and 15 with Groot, Oliver, Ogunjobi and Bosa sound very good.
