In an offense with Aj Brown, Devonta Smith and Jalen Hurts. They went to the playoffs and a Superbowl without Barkley. I think he is offensive player of the year but MVP is a tough road for him to navigate.

This is the best Bills team I can remember. Kincaid coming back, Coleman coming back. Samuel looking healthy. The offense is a real problem. Before worrying about the passing game the defense has to stop the run. The second part has not been real for an Allen offense. Brady is a mfer in the run game. What ever scheme or run he finds your leaky on he will spam in. Buffalo ran for 100 yards using the same formation and same run scheme. They wont line up and play it. They will shift they will motion to get back to it over and over. They will sprinkle play-action off the same thing. That is keeping up DC at night just as much as Allen and the passing game.

Play clean and it is his. He has really found himself this year. They are making scoring 30 look pretty easy. In a league where it’s clearly not.

I dont watch the Bears and think Caleb is the problem. He will extend plays which runs him into some sacks. Like what young Allen did. Having terrible tackle play and refusing to help with formation or extra blockers is a problem. I take over the bears im trading Moore for what ever I can. Hate his body language and antics. Investing everything in the oline. Draft capital and FA. Look for an OC with a deep run game bag. Try to take as much off Calebs plate as possible. They have weapons gotta create space with pa. Very much Dorsey with Allen right now. Caleb isnt Allen.

He was always a lame duck head coach. Not hiring Harbaugh because Warren and Poles were too insecure will always be a massive failure. This is where weak ownership destroys the franchise. Very much a Brandon, Whaley situation when Pegula first bought the team. Why draft a qb #1 and keep the win nothing head coach?

Preparation and communication is on the HC. Why the qb draw? Playing for a Fg and overtime? Play got blown up. Call the time out as a hc. Had time for a fire drill fg or spike with a first down.

the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems

No. Did he develop Allen? Or did Allen develop Allen. Allen worked on his motion to improve his consistency and motion. Allen said as much that he matured in the Pats fame where he threw 3 picks and felt responsible for the loss. He has the Brady passing playbook. Utilizing slot and full spectrum passing concepts. Something the Shannahan System lacks. Imo he is lacking in the run game. Thats why at Alabama it worked because they had a talent advantage so the running game wasn't affected. With Allen he had someone who could pass 40 plus times at a usually successful level. With lesser Qbs they dont have alot of running concepts to carry an offense. Makes for a middling to bottom unit. -
Week 13, 49ers v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Mat68 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
34-12. No Purdy very difficult for them to score. Buffalo gets an early lead it just snowballs. With Purdy SF is not a drop back and pass offense. Without him it’s even more of a problem. Milano plays and scores a TD. I think it will be a fun night Orchard Park. -
No structural damage shoulder problem for a Qb with an average arm is worrisome. If it’s contract related that would be wild. Im San Fran I don't extend Purdy and I draft a qb. Let them sit a year. If Purdy wants to hold out or anything like that I trade him. Mayfield looked pained. I do not understand the handling of Baker in Cleveland. Could have paid Baker half what they paid Watson and kept the capital.

That was on purpose. Give them the first with 0 time off the clock. First and 10 v first and 5. It was rightly declined. -

It seems to me Daboll started buying into the he built Allen narrative. Thought he could do the same with Jones. Never close to the same prospects. Allen always had that if he cleaned up some stuff look out vibe to him. In college Allen made the best passes you would ever see. Jones was as mechanically sound as you could be but still was underwhelming. Interesting how they will/have spin that Mora forced their hands with Jones. Imo after that playoff run you trade him at the height of his value. Probably get a top 15 pick. Soft draft tag him and then let him walk. Based off hard knocks Mora voiced his displeasure with the Barkley situation. Still Mora let them make the decision. They could have done the same with Jones. Gettleman gets flamed but he left Shoen a better roster than he is leaving the next guy. Poor roster construction. Beane and Mcdermott had conviction to do this job with their QB. Daboll and Schoen had fake conviction. Kinda drought Bills where they hedge their decisions so it couldn't be “their” fault. -

Yes. Missed up the years with Jones. Strong disagree with Barkley. I don't think you get back what he is worth. 2nd or 3rd isn't enough imo. -

Should have moved Jones after 22. Sign Barkley a year early. They have less good players than when they took over. -
Mahomes played great immediately. Thats him and his talent. The situation assisted that. I firmly believe if Buffalo drafts Mahomes and Allen ends up in KC a year later the team’s success and failures wouldn't be much different. In terms of production Allen is chasing down Mahomes in a lot of categories. Mahomes has the hardware but Allen is currently the prolific player. This season he is becoming the more efficient player. Sports are not linear. Because, someone starts better doesn't mean they stay better. I think this season Allen gets Buffalo to the mountain top. When he does talk will start if Allen is the best player in the NFL. I think in a few years he will widely accepted as that.

Josh Allen vs Patrick Mahomes: The changing of the guard?
Mat68 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Allen wins the Super Bowl this season he has a claim for best Qb in the league. Allen has been the more productive player for about 2 seasons. Mahomes had the success in the playoffs. The post season is the only argument currently for Mahomes and something Allen and the team hasn't accomplished. -
I think familiarity helped the Dolphins. Even with that they were weird holding calls and a flukey touchdown turning to an int away from getting blown out again. Coleman catches the slant clean and Allens TD run stands they are up big at half. Miami abandons the run and Tua is a sitting duck in the second half.
-
They went very safe imo. More was put into the primetime games. More advertisement for black Friday and Christmas day. These games could be at 1pm on Sunday and no one would care. Thanksgiving is not premier TV anymore imo. It’s basically bottom primetime priority. Everyone is home, everyone will watch. Dallas being bad was probably unexpected though.

0. Bass has made big kicks. Was struggling since his miss vs KC in the playoffs. Still Bass struggling means he is at league average. Has a very big leg needed to kick in Buffalo. I think the game winner vs Miami gave him back his confidence. A lot of times teams are quick to pull the plug without an improvement. Change for change sake doesnt work. Thats why so many of the best kickers get let go and kick for years elsewhere.
-
Caleb made the game interesting. Giants hype was always wrong. Probably wanted large markets for an easy big number.
-
He has been very good. Besides the Baltimore game the defense has played well in every game with starters in and out all year.
-
I come away after the bye week with the feeling that Buffalo on a good day is better than every team currently.

I think many feel the 80’s were 20 years ago still. Not so. Mr Brightside is today’s generation classic rock.

Ravens or Chargers tonight? Consider the playoffs
Mat68 replied to Billyhouseman's topic in The Stadium Wall
I say Chargers. Baltimore has the tie breaker. Also have Herbert in a few Fantasy leagues tonight lol -
Injury to Purdy or not I like the Bills. Miamis offense without the speed imo. Without the speed threat it allows the safeties to play a bit closer to the LOS and helps shrink the passing windows and fill the lanes in the wide zone. 10 point win with Purdy 21 point win if he is out.
