Anything good left to pick from the Patriots' carcass?

2 games still against them I dont see them trading with us. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Being more balanced makes the Bills a tougher offense to defense. Having guys who can get open in deferent ways. Coleman, Cooper and Shakir can all get open different ways. Passing yards are meaningless out of context. Buffalo can run at you. Coleman can break a tackle and make an explosive play. Cooper can shake about anyone 1 on 1. Shakir solid. They are become a very good offense in the New England style. Can kind of do everything and attack your weakness and make you play a way you’re not comfortable. -
I don't know how you can say that about a guy enter his second season and getting his first real run as a starter. To me he is still thinking a bit at times. More experience and confidence in his eyes there is room for improvement. In the interim he leads the team in tackles by a wide margin.

Two separate things are happening you are correct. Coleman out snapping Hollins and given the MVS snaps in heavy formations has created more opportunities for Coleman. Coleman in the slot with Cooper outside was great to see. Believe that was the formation he got that seem ball. Cooper was an answer to a bit of a wr problem. Finding ways to use Coleman was also an answer by reshuffling the room. -

If they are without Sieler and Holland it could be ugly. Allen may not have much of a game. Seems like a game you run the ball down their throats. Play a bit of ball control. Keep Tua/Hill/Waddle on the sideline. Just beat the crap out of em. I could see 21-0 at half and just a complete and utter beat down. 250 plus yards rushing . Both Cook and Davis go over 100. Maybe they play a high variance game plan and sell out to stop the run and generate pressure. That could be worst for them but a shout out type game would be their only shot. -
Milano was a fantastic player. He is 30. Two seasons in a row basically lost to injury. Buffalo and us fans need to hope he comes back at what he was but certainly cannot expect it. Is Williams better? No. I would argue his play is better than the replacements Buffalo had for Milano last season. Williams development the rest of season could play a larger role for the defense than Milano. Is Milano able to return and play at an elite level? Im all for it. I think it’s being looked at as a forgone conclusion. Recent history with Miller, White and Hyde paints a different picture.

Why wouldn't you go Dime on third and long? Playing more diverse has made them a less predictable defense. Many forget in 21 Johnson was benched for Lewis. Lewis got hurt and Johnson had the biggest most memorable pick 6 in team history. Playing 2 very capable nickels on passing downs is the smart play.

The backup is the only guy to start every game. He needs to develop more but his traits will be needed to win in January.

No linebaker is a 100% tackle percent. Games without Benard I see him out of position more. Williams has been the constant at linebaker all year. No Milano, no Benard. Williams overall play has been a positive not a negative to the defense. Better than Dodson last season imo.

Khalil Mack trade - what would it take?
Mat68 replied to MiracleAtRich1393's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is equivalent to getting Von Miller back. Fresh legs will be a nice boost to the pass rush. I don’t want Buffalo to add another aging vet. Find a 20 something with a year or 2 remaining on a deal. Not an easy deal to find but a rebuilding team pay be open. -
He does much better with Benard setting the table for him. Big motions and ball fakes move him. Mind you this affects all linebakers to some degree. More playing time will help with that. See ball get ball big he is very good. Doen’t miss too many tackles.

They are a sub 500 team who used tooth picks and duct tape to fix their foundation issues. Defense is 15% worst than last season. The offense is 15% better. Overall, similar team.

Rotational guy. Probably offers more than Toohill. Doubt NE would trade with us and see him twice.
-
And Rice. It’s not good either way. Hope for the best for him.

Week 9 - Dolphins at Bills Game Week Thread

Buffalo is a bad match up for Miami. Buffalo dictates the terms of the game. 38-13 Buffalo. Buffalo is better today than they were in Sept. Miami is not. Allen has a massive first half. Running game eats in the second half. Buffalo makes Tua miserable. -
Him as a guy in motion and jet sweeps works. The jet motion wheel route that Miami runs works. To me he has been hobbled all year and looks to be missing a gear.

Tom Brady post-game interview of Josh Allen, his "favorite QB"
Mat68 replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sitting in the pocket for 4 secs and then coming to a back is one thing. Reading the defense pre snap and seeing the picture post snap and going to the back or underneath read is another. Hitting the back or Shakir in space enables them to make a guy miss and get yac. Too often Qbs can wait too long and the outlet has no chance because the defender is immediately on them. Taking the lay ups when available to keep the offense in rhythm is Allens next step and what he is doing. -
Mcdermott has McDaniel figured out. Will Mcdaniel have a new wrinkle? NFL for the most part is decided at 3 places. OLine, Dline and Qb. Those are the biggest advantages Buffalo has. With Buffalos front 4 they can play Nickel vs Miamis 21 and dime vs 11. They have a few route combos that zone can take away. Have the guys when wanting to can sprinkle in press man with 2 deep. On offense Buffalo can body the front 7 of Miami in the run game and that really makes Miami play more man and Allows Allen to make plays. I might be over confident but think Buffalo wins 28-10.

Week 8 - Bills @ Seahawks - post game thread

I think the dline had as large an impact. The penetration on the goal line was impressive. Almost every interior lineman was knocked back. If Smith gets the ball out of his hands I don't like the odds of it being successful. -
Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards
Mat68 replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont think that was his intention. When they were on the sideline and the corner was trying to catch him letting up, thats when he decided to throw him. Everyone on the team had to love it. Come film today everyone will see it and love it. Come film in Miami today they will take notice. -
He reminds me a lot of Kamara. Very patient. And it looks like he is gliding not running. Deceptive how fast he is. He makes the run game very dangerous.

Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards

That was a message to every corner tasked with pressing him all season. He also de cleated Woolen off the line on another run play. Back to back weeks he physically ran through press zone for 20 plus yard plays. He is becoming a big problem for defenses. -

Seattle shaded him heavy inside. Still found a way to make plays. He took his frustration out on them in the run game. His physically came through. Very impressive. Seattle shadowing him with Woolen shows the respect they had for him. His ability to make the largest db in the league seem average at best is worth noting. -

Coleman is becoming a key target in the passing game. If he gets 7-10 targets a game he will look like a 1 come playoffs. Coleman killing guys in the run game was fantastic to see out of a young wr. Jump balls and back shoulders will be available at all times. His ability to run after the catch makes him a problem. I couldn't be happier with his play so far. -
Tracking Not Drafted by the Bills Players
Mat68 replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
For what the Bills need Coleman looks to be it. Physical player. Pancaked and Moss’d Woolen. The largest Cb in the league. Literally, threw the other corner into the team bench on a run block. Woolen followed Coleman all game. As Talented Thomas is Idk how more productive he would be over Coleman. Since the release of MVS he has gotten more snaps as the x in heavy sets and really taken off. Bishop missed the entire training camp. He could be good he could be a bust. It is too early to write off Bishop. I liked Mustapha coming out. He is more a box player. Im not sure he beats out Rapp and the perceived weakness in the room has Hamlin plays a totally different style.
