Gameday Thread PreGame Week 9 Bills vs. Seahawks
Mat68 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would keep Boettger at LG and work Ford in at Rg. Being able to run when you want to will be huge down the stretch. -
WR Jake Kumerow Active on Sunday
Mat68 replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo goes 4 wide alot. I want Roberts catching punts and kickoffs. I want him no where near Allen. Mckenzie inside, Kumarow spell outside. -
It doesnt matter how well they played in September or how poorly they played in October. Post Thankgiving can Buffalo play their best football. If Buffalo can run the ball when they want to, and play scrappy defense they will be a tough out for anyone. I think the last to weeks were good ugly wins. The defense played better. Sea at home at 1pm is a winnable game. Buffalo wins the league takes notice. Even so the teams that win superbowls play the best in December and January.

Are our WRs not getting separation? Or is it Allen?
Mat68 replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brown and Diggs are. Diggs has been the most productive wr deep over the last 3 years. A guy how cant catch it on the backend of the play is useless. Teams are playing back. If they can run the ball it will open up the deep ball. -

McKenzie cant track the ball the way Brown or Diggs do. Mckenzie is a decent back up in the slot and his jet sweeps. Thats really it. -
They are trash on the edge. He is like playing an extra lineman. Make alot if sense I expect alot of 21 personal.

Bills Special Teams(other than Bass) among NFL Leaders...

On a fair share of his misses the laces were on the side not out. Idk not a kicker but think it can push a football a few yards. -
Week 8 Pats** At Bills - Predict the score
Mat68 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont see Ne scoring more than 10 points. This will be a blowout. The weather keeps Buffalo under 30. The Defense builds off the second half in NYJ. Ne on offense has similar talent. Buffalo 27- 6. -
I think the Bills running issues are a little overblown. Henry was held in check. Jacobs was held in check. 2 games hurt LAR and KC. Vs LAR the offense got going and their playaction had the defense guessing. KC was a strategic ploy to not commit extra guys in the box, stop Mahomes. I do not see a 1 dimensional offense giving a Mcdermott defense problems. I think Chris is over simplifing the matchup. Can Buffalo commit more to stopping the run without worrying about getting burned outside? Yes. Against a favorable matchup and favorable looks could Buffalo have success running? Yes. Against NE Buffalo can and should play man on early downs. Third and longs they have 0 shot. Allen would need to have his worst game of the season for this to be a close game. I think NE play more man than we faced in the past few weeks. Buffalo gets some big plays early. These are the type of games Diggs was brought in for. I think Buffalo wins big 27-9

Top 5 or 10 you must. 15 probably? Outdide of that you have a point. Allen has played like a top 5 qb this year. He finishes the same way you pay him.

With Buffalo being able to play heavy im not that concerned about the run defense. They are not the Cheifs or Rams outside. They dont have to worry about anybody outside. Load the box make Newton be Brady. I think Buffalo matches up quite well.

Why this game against the Patriots is NOWHERE NEAR monumental
Mat68 replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think many believe Bill has the ability to reserect the Pats from near playoff death. Buffalo has a chance in early November to put a nail in the coffin. Buffalo takes a 4 game lead goodnight. -
DE Everson Griffen is available UPDATE: Traded to Lions!
Mat68 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he will find a happy median of size and maintaining his explosivness. Seems like he is at or below his playing weight as a freshman at Iowa. So far he has played pretty good. -
Good things about the 18-10 victory over the Jets
Mat68 replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully, this makes Bass more automatic. If we left NYJ with a kicker the game was worth it. He will be needed to win some we shouldnt. -
Some of these moves are bout the other guys. Nngankee*sp* too much for a rental. On an AFC contender. You want Gilmore on Tennesse, Kc? It has to be considered.

getting players on the team sooner doesnt help the seller. Deadline forces team to make decisions. Thats why there is more movement around the date.

Wow. This schedule...looks harder than we thought!
Mat68 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Fitzmagic had 99% to do with the success of that offense. They have no one in the backfield or outside. Tua is going to struggle and their oline is not good. Fitz throwing to the right guy in 1.0 seconds wont get you hit. Having 0 players open vs Alabama when everyone was open is going to be interesting. This seems 100% like an owner move. I think everything good Mia had begins to fade. -
Shoot me. Singeltary is the better back. He gets more out of his runs. Moss's vision is lackluster. He doesnt understand how to break a tackle as a professional. I hate the zone read shotgun hand off. That and Josh's athletic ability is relied on too much.
-
This is a get right game. Jets are trash. Even with Darnold, Buffalo is more talented everywhere.
-
I would have kicked the extra point and tried a variation of a suprise onside kick. They were ready for it but an oblong ball on a wet night had better odds of making a bounce vs stopping kc. Also they would be on a shorter feild and ate less clock.

Defensive problems-just my opinion
Mat68 replied to BuffBills51's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The coverage they are using obviously is working. I dont hate the idea of having him qnd his wing spand in the middle of the defense on 3 and long. To get them there I think he needs to be used to attack. The defense seems pretty predictable. Every team seems to be able to find the sticks and holes in the zone on 3rd down.
