It's not really helpful to try to compare two different people just using the vague term of "heart condition". It's like trying to relate "engine problem" without being the exact same make and model of car, knowing the exact part of the engine in question, the severity, etc.

Whatever the plan at RB may be (I think we're fine on that front) the backup plan of passing for a gazillion yards per game seemed to work pretty well last year.

Then again I'm also an idiot who doesn't know a lot about drafting.

I was hoping CB if there was value there (I haven't really followed the prospects so I don't know), with WR in 3rd. Absolutely fine with them doubling down on DE though.

Yes. Once Etienne was gone, and they failed to trade down as evidenced by taking nearly the full time allotted to get the pick in.

Yeah these are basically it for me. With Etienne gone I wanted to either trade down for an extra 3rd (which it appears they tried to do), or just the best value at CB/WR/Edge and the value seemed gone at that point for CB and WR. I haven't followed draft prospects too closely this year, but after looking into Rousseau he seems the Allen/Edmunds style athletic with upside pick. Exactly the kind of "we don't need to be in a window" development for continued success selection I've been talking about this whole time. Now we can focus on value in the next tier of CB and WR in day 2. Leaning towards CB in round 2 as the most pressing need, and WR in the 3rd with another Davis style high value complementary piece.

I actually bet that's part of their interview, seeing if he's the enthusiastic type who would "buy into the process".
