  1. Hmm, sounds exactly like what one of the talking heads you mentioned would say. I'd say our weaknesses are exaggerated, and simply beat a good Colts team that brought it. Defense had an off game against a good offense, still only gave up 24.
  2. News flash, the Giants weren't very good.
  3. Yeah as much as I liked Williams making the most of his opportunity against Miami (and want to see more of him in an actual preseason), I'm not entrusting a season on the line to an undrafted rookie with a handful of career snaps.
  4. I'm tired of this nagging perception that keeps lingering about the Bills being "frauds". Bills: Weak for having to lean on Allen to "steal" the game against top defense. Ravens: Strong for being able to salvage broken plays with Jackson scrambling for big gains to win against weak defense. Bills: Had the game handed to them, got outplayed, deserved to lose, etc. Other sexy teams: Heroicly overcome shortcomings, fiercely counterattack aggressive calls by opponents, etc. Even if we win the Super Bowl, we'll still be the Rodney Dangerfield frauds of the NFL to many.
  5. "From last season", posted Jan 10, 2021?
  6. The kind of stats possible when you get to start garbage time IN THE FIRST QUARTER. 🤣
  7. Already had to tell my D&D group that I can't make our first session of a new campaign thanks to this scheduling.
  8. Ravens only managed 20 points against the worst defense in the league. We've feasted on top defenses. The weakness of our rush D is exaggerated after holding Taylor to 3.7 yards per carry with a pair of fluke long runs by Hines off of broken tackles skewing the totals. Held King Henry to 3 yards per rush earlier in the season as well.
  9. Yeah 47 is more realistic. 7 rushing touchdowns with a couple missed extra points in the snow.
  10. It's almost like money drives law and policy rather than common sense and the will of the people. Weird.
  11. I guess that's what people meant by if we could beat the Colts, then we'll win the Super Bowl. Overcame our weaknesses against the team seemingly built to exploit them.
  12. Hiring extra concession staff and security is easy. Building extra exits to keep up to standards on crowding for the exodus after the game? Not so much.
  13. Next time I'm around our Niagara Falls casinos, I'll have to check what options they have. I talk every year about wanting to bet on futures, and always forget. Kicking myself for not getting bets on the Bills this year. Everyone I know who cares at all about sports always seems to have at least a $3 or $5 Pro Line ticket. Can even use their phone app to calculate a parlay bet's (all tickets have to be at least a 3x parlay) odds and payout, then just scan the barcode it displays at the store to print the ticket. My dad loves to do crazy longshot tickets with $3 bet paying out $100k+. Just remembered there is also off track betting for horse racing here in a BBQ restaurant (with self service machines), and slot machines in the bingo hall.
  14. Earlier in the week I saw on the Colts forum someone saying the key to winning was to shut down Beasley by playing man coverage. I had to resist making an account just to respond "Oh no...honey...no...are you TRYING to lose?"
  15. I thought it looked a bit crowded for proper social distancing.
  16. I'm from across the border in Ontario, where I can pop into any local convenience store to place bets on sports through OLG (Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, owned by the government and reporting to the Minister of Finance). I can't however bet on on a football team straight up, I have to bet them to win by 4, by 8, or bet the tie (doesn't matter who wins as long as it is by 3 or less). Standard over/under, prop bets, and point spread parlays are available though. Do you have something like that on your side of the border? Is it that different over there? Just curious.
  17. Thanks for reminding me, I have a question about gambling I gotta post on Off The Wall or whatever.
  18. Colts O-line is fantastic. Rivers was better than I expected, especially against the blitz. I thought Reich brought a great game plan, despite his alleged over aggression. Shame they had to match against Josh Allen on his A-game. Eh, was incidental contact without a grasp. Could be called either way.
  19. There is a word for that. It's called cowardice. "Lack of integrity" works as well.
  20. Poyer got screwed out of a brilliant game winning play (definitely appeared to actually let the receiver get back up) because refs are afraid to make a call that ends a playoff game. How about at least one ref trying to call that one Colts sideline pass a catch? The one that doinked right off the receiver and bounced away. That automatically disqualifies the refs from mediocre.
  21. Thanks, that actually helped.
  22. I am 100% fine with Indy riding Taylor to field goals while Allen punches in touchdowns. Don't get why people keep talking like it's an automatic win for Indy if they get Taylor going, as if that somehow precludes Buffalo from also having a good, if not better offense.
  23. REALLY could have done without the random bright flashes of light in the jump cuts during the chorus.
  24. Indy struggled against JACKSONVILLE, while the Bills dropped 56 on the #1 scoring defense in the league. Bills' weakness against the run is exaggerated, as we improved from 125 rush yards per game pre-bye to 94 per game post-bye.
