Seemed ok until Ben somehow completed on a deep 3rd and 37 after (realistically) not being able to complete a deep pass all game, and then the announcer talked about an end of game kneel down as if it was a standard run for a loss. Then again announcers are often idiots so that actually might be realistic. Also Josh not QB sneaking it on 3rd and inches?

Should have just made the title "Wade traded to Pats" and watched the confusion and outrage ensue.

I was mostly just making a joke, but yeah that's pretty much what I tell people too. Josh came from a crap program with little to no actual coaching, while Justin came from a power school. So Justin doesn't have as much of an excuse to be raw as a rookie, and while certainly athletic, doesn't have Josh's physique to be as strong of a passer and absorb punishment.

Relax. There's going to be a few QBs, maybe 2 WRs, and All Pros at other positions in the top 10. This isn't some huge insult. It's top 10 overall, not top 10 WRs.

Well for it to be possible there would be two keys to it. An improved (from week 1) defense and..........Mitch Trubiski. The defense part is obvious, get the ball to our offense more. Mitch however came on a cheap one year prove it deal so that he could get a big contract somewhere else. To help prove it, he might need to play. So when Josh gets us out to a big league, rather than rush the ball to run out the clock, you put in Mitch to get him some action and become a Twitter pariah by running up the score. This both protects Josh and gets Mitch more game time to get dialed in should Josh go down with injury. There would be an incentive to do this with a high comp pick coming our way if Mitch does earn himself a good contract elsewhere.

I'd rather keep Mitch for the season and get a third in the end anyway as a compensatory pick.

Heck that's my strategy for home games, I prefer the view from up top. I've had lower bowl midfield seats like 7 or 13 rows (forget which) from the sideline, but my favorite seats ever were 300 level 50 yard line front row.

Watch the slow-mo, it was literally face into shoulder with the only helmet contact being a graze across the the edge of the face mask. And I'm actually a proponent of the roughing the passer rule. I'm not thr first to say it, but getting real rookie Allen vibes watching Fields. Problem is I don't see him working out the same since he's like this coming out of a power school with actual coaching. Josh had the excuse of being raw uncoached from a low tier program. They might be smart to give him the Lamar Jackson treatment until Nagy gets replaced and he can benefit from better coaches/coordinators.

Against Fields, I'll take a scrambling throw away like I would a sack against other QBs.

Ya even if I debate the flag there was at least clear (minor) direct contact to the mask. Yup, and if it's Brady it's a penalty if you brush the shoulder nevermind the helmet. I wish I was joking.

From the slow-mo I saw, it was a glance across the edge of the face mask. Whether that counts as a penalty or not, it's not the reason the helmet went flying.

Like the Henry stiff arm on Norman, I was like "LOL ya that was awesome." It's the preseason.

Even as an opposing fan I was like "RUN FIELDS YOU FOOL YOU ARE GOING TO DIE". But yeah, even with the penalty I still wouldn't turn back time to change it. That will get in his head and maybe throw him off. As others have said it's a real welcome to the NFL moment. Also not a valid penalty, was a "that looked scary" flag. Tighten your chin strap, Justin.

I think EA just docked a few points of awareness from Fields in Madden.

I wouldn't be surprised if we receive a couple 7th round offers or something to secure the quality depth we have to cut. Some guys just won't make it to the PS.
