  1. I still have nightmares about backup QBs torching us from a handful of years ago. Who was it, Tarvaris Jackson?
  2. Could have had a couple sacks if he wasn't too busy showing the QB his Superman impression. I give an award to the young D-line guys.
  3. Hey look, a positive play from Watkins. That should upset a certain crowd here.
  4. It's called being a professional, and not being a bad example for kids looking up to you. Too many players talking about how football gave them an opportunity and a better life away from gangs, then act like thugs on national television.
  5. We put up 7 TDs without Josh Allen being Josh Allen for most of the game. Either just have to adjust playcalling, or he's still adjusting to the hype of live crowds. I don't think it's regression. Things are going to get nasty when he's back on his game and our D stays good.
  6. That was part of why I enjoyed the broadcast. I actually said "I like the sprinkles at the end" to my friend at the same time he did. Then, no lie, I said "that's funny" at the same time he did when I noticed we said the same thing. It was so bizarre I had to smile.
  7. "I liked the SPRINKLES at the end, that was funny."
  8. I'm hoping it's because you weren't the one being farted on...
  9. Didn't he have a fumble? Still amazed he didn't get a flag for that suplex against the Colts...
  10. I actually kind of enjoyed the commentary. Maybe my good mood from stomping the Dolphins was just bleeding through.
  11. Miami's Twitter trolls post game are now 99% a split between "didn't count, Tua hurt" and "we won a Super Bowl 20 years before I was born". They forget Tua already lost to our backups.
  12. My favorite part about these post games against Miami is going through all the pregame tweets from Miami fans talking mad crap. Now all they have to say is "well we won a Super Bowl half a century ago".
  13. I also did some math showing that just with random chance, factoring in half of openers not being at home, the odds of facing a "playoff quality" team, the regular season win rate of champs, etc, you would expect to have had about 3 home opener losses from champs by now. The small sample size makes a difference of 1 or 2 games statistically insignificant and within fluke possibility. I went to post it but the thread was locked by the time I hit post.
  14. That's like saying you're not superstitious but still keep a rabbit's foot on your key chain, or that you're an atheist but still say a prayer sometimes just in case. As has already been pointed out, it means literally nothing when you factor in things like road openers and quality of opponent. It was just a bad one off game, it often happens early in the season. The Patriots often came out slow before going on a run.
  15. Why did you wait over two weeks to reply a second time to the same post?
  16. Division tier list Bills first Bills backups second Dolphins come in third
  17. Hey at least you made one. I'm just the jerk who criticizes people for minor mistakes.
  18. Too many syllables on last line. Literally any other number from 1 to 10 would have worked.
  19. Last I checked touchbacks were only like 75%, not 99%. Also look at the OPENING KICKOFF OF THE GAME and the blocked punt for a TD if you want to see how special teams affects games. Epenesa did long snaps in preseason, but not WELL. He botched a snap which directly took a point off the board for us.
  20. They can't have the evidence to bust you for taking drugs if you refuse to take the drug tests! Genius! Or so he probably thought. Being a millionaire athlete doesn't necessarily make you smart, despite what fans on Twitter believe.
  21. The closest I came to coming up with 0.07% is if you take the 10 rookies and divide by an approximation of the total team-seasons (like man-hours) ever played, you get approximately 0.7%. If you were to incorrectly divide the team-seasons into a SINGLE rookie, you then get 0.07%. So I've determined his 0.07% represents if you purely randomly select a random team from a random year in all of history, that's the odds of that team being the one that went to the playoffs with a specific rookie. But as we've established, you can't use that logic to determine playoff odds in this case of a SINGLE year with a specific team that already has assumed 100% odds of having a rookie QB starting. If you wanted to stick with the idea of pure randomness, you could look at how many teams are starting rookies this year and compare it to the ratio of teams making the playoffs, or historically you divide the 10 playoff rookies by all the rookies that have ever started.
  22. To be fair, just off the top of my head Lamar Jackson started less than half the games his rookie year. My argument was more towards day one starters or at least starting most of the games.
  23. Ooh pineapple fried rice is my favorite Asian takeout. Not really "gameday with the boys" food for me, but maybe a future "friend is busy so I'm at home watching the game alone shoveling a huge tray of food into my gob" order... I'm afraid to ask what that is. Something you dip the wings into, or the wing meat as part of the dip?
  24. NEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRD! ...wait...
  25. I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread yet for what kind of spread everyone is having for watching the game at home (apologies if I missed it, checked back a few pages). I saw something for tailgating, for the weather, the broadcast schedule, etc, but not the everyman's home culinary lineup. My friend and I don't have the time or ability to do anything fancy, so it's the basic fare of takeout pizza (double pepperoni party tray) and wings (honey garlic extra saucy, they don't like hot sauce), assorted snacks, and beer (Keith's for me, Bud for my friend). I love (and hate because it makes me jealous and hungry) to hear about what you guys whip up for these big days.
