  1. In effect, Nate made the decision for him. Other than that, it's McD's decision. He may not be comfortable with it, but it's really his only reasonable option.
  2. Yup. Controversy sells. True journalism is a dying art.
  3. Reporters are trying to get him to throw Peterman under the bus, and he's refusing. I respect that.
  4. ... and we're living here in Allen Town!
  5. It was the skunk in the tunnel. http://www.nfl.com/videos/up-to-the-minute/0ap3000000961087/Gruden-says-skunk-invaded-Raiders-tunnel-before-MNF
  6. I don't think he was sold on Peterman; that's why he brought McCarron in. But when Peterman outplayed McC and Josh in preseason, he didn't have much choice but to give Nate the start. It's not like AJ had a proven track record.
  7. Exactly my point. It's not like Christianity is some obscure religion; two-thirds of the US population is Christian.
  8. I keep hearing this narrative. Isn't McCarron also a devout Christian, complete with Jesus tattoos?
  9. Happy birthday, SDS, and thanks for keeping this place going! Side note: you share a birthday with Mickey Hart, although he's a bit older. ?
  10. It seems like nothing has ever come easy for him - he didn't get a scholarship to a Division 1 college, went to a JUCO before Wyoming, etc. Through all the adversity, he just kept working to improve himself. Hopefully that resiliency will carry him through the difficult times ahead of him. That's what I was thinking too. Not only would he be throwing Peterman under the bus, he'd also be second-guessing the coaching staff. At this point in his career, he's in no position to do either of those things in front of the press.
  11. Whatever it was, I wish I'd had some before watching the Bills game.
  12. I'm glad I got it over with and shaved my head before the season started.
  13. Ghostbusters, because we just got slimed.
  14. I liked it in the middle of the 4th quarter when the broadcast I was watching switched to another game. And Josh looked decent under the circumstances. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised but I was prepared for the worst ... and the worst is what we got. This will be a tough year, but like others have said, next year we have more cap space to acquire some talent.
  15. He'll praise someone in public but he won't throw a player under the bus in front of the cameras. That doesn't mean he didn't see how badly Nate was playing - after all, he benched him.
  16. I think he just told us who's starting next week.
  17. Thanks. We needed the laugh.
  18. Some programmer used a LIFO stack instead of a FIFO queue. ?
  19. ^ There's three reasons that it won't happen. The fourth is that Bell isn't really an upgrade over Shady - or at least not a significant one. Also, Shady knows the Bills' offense, Bell doesn't. That gives the Bills the upper hand, since the trade really wouldn't do us much good. PIT would have to send us a draft pick along with the player swap. It still won't happen, though.
