  1. We have the pistol formation and the shotgun formation. This would be the missile formation.
  2. Same as last week: I hope for a play-action pass for an 8-yard gain. I expect Shady running up the middle for little-to-no gain. If I'm the opposing DC, I expect the run.
  3. This puts the long-snapper at a disadvantage (as noted above) and puts him at risk of injury. On punts and FGs, the long-snapper is protected by a rule that says DTs can't line up over the nose of the ball; no such protection exists for non-kicking plays.
  4. Ah - you're a poet and ... and ... um ... aren't aware of it. (Or something like that.)
  5. Rumor has it that Beane is working on a trade.
  6. Instead of copying the GIF, just copy its URL and paste it in the message.
  7. He threw a 20-yard pass (on his first read) to a wide open receiver who carried the ball 60 yards for a TD.
  8. That was an offense that had playmakers at virtually every skill position. With that much talent, you can win with a small playbook.
  9. If Beane and McD get fired after just two seasons, it will be a hard sell.
  10. The process (Cliff's Notes version): 2017 season: Evaluate what they've got and purge the dead weight. 2018 season: Draft a potential franchise QB. Accept the fact that it'll likely be a bad season due to the dead cap money. 2019 season: Add talent with all the cap space that they cleared in 2017. Higher expectations than 2018, but don't count on playoffs. 2020 season: The real fun begins, as the QB develops and the players acquired in 2019 start to gel. Should make the playoffs or, at worst, narrowly miss. That's a minimum of four years. If the above happens, they'll be back in 2021. They'd have to show Rex-like ineptitude to get fired any sooner. On the flip side, if the Bills make the playoffs in 2019 or 2020, we'll be seeing contract extensions for Beane and McD.
  11. Wow - that's one o' them fancy color screens I been hearin' 'bout.
  12. That might happen if the backup was someone like Kyle Orton, but after Nate's performances, it seems pretty clear that they're all-in with Josh at this point. In Cortez-like fashion, the coaches have burned the boats and told the crew to fight or die.
  13. When Nate's football career officially ends, he can look forward to a bright future in the Senate.
  14. I guess he needs to throw it harder to Kelvin Benjamin.
  15. He nailed it perfectly. Beane worked the salary cap and did some wheeling-and-dealing with draft picks to set us up with a potential franchise QB and still pick up some quality players in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. #TheProcess
  16. To be fair, one of Baltimore's TDs was a one-yard drive following a Peterman pick.
  17. They also bear the responsibility for keeping the Bills in Buffalo ... and, apparently, ruining your autumn Sundays.
  18. In any organization, personnel matters are internal. There's no reason for him to tell reporters what happens inside the meeting room.
  19. Warner is a devout Christian - maybe he was trying to defend Peterman. ?
  20. See the "All 22" thread - receivers were getting open. At one point in the game they showed a replay of a sack, and the announcer said, "There was nobody open." At the moment he said that, I could see a receiver running right past a defender, with 1-2 yards of separation, while Nate was still upright and looking downfield.
  21. "Obviously," added Doug Marrone.
  22. Wow, that was short. Coach ran a two-minute drill behind the podium.
