Our offense has been anemic for a few years. The difference is that we now have a QB who looks like he can take it to the next level (and a couple of levels beyond that), but he needs more experience and some talent around him. So essentially we have a rookie leading the offense to about the same stats (including points) that a seven year vet was doing before. That's a reason to be hopeful.

We watched the late afternoon game between the Vikings and the Eagles. When the Vikings DT picked off a tipped pass and ran it in for the TD, my wife started laughing and I said, "There's nothing funnier in the NFL than watching a defensive tackle lumbering down the field on an interception or fumble return." Of course, I was thinking of Sam Adams.

I loved seeing McCoy and Ivory on the field at the same time. Who should the defense key on? Josh can hand it to either one, pass it to Shady, throw downfield, or run it himself. That's a scheme that plays to the team's strengths while hiding its weaknesses.
