  1. Appreciate the post. People are freaking because the defense is a work in progress and has been bad against the run and very bad with 3rd down defense even though statistically since the Ravens they have been fine. People are freaking because the offense while scoring 30+ is not throwing the ball around like the 07 Pats every week. People are freaking because Maye has looked pretty good and to the Pats credit they look improved and division games are a whole different ball game which is a far more fair point. In general basically because the Bills are not winning 40-3 every week with the offense throwing 400 yds, the defense allowing 10 yards total, etc.. the Bills are the worst team in the AFC even though their 4-0. lol I expect the Bills to win as they simply have more talent right now, a more well rounded roster right now, and Allen is the best player in the NFL. The Pats are going to make a game of it and at points make us nervous. Maye looks good with the potential to be really good and if they build this right over the next two years it will be a major problem for us even with Josh. But for right now the Bills at home should take care of business, come December in New England I think I have had that as a loss all year.
  2. Bills 33 Flying Elvis's 20 This is a classic new kid on the block wanting to make a point but the old guard isn't moving at this time type of game. New England's offense has been decent at points with Maye playing pretty well while their defense is more shaky as they grow. Their talent is not phenomenal and with Milton likely out or limited and Barmore also off injury that hurts them badly on defense. With that said while I think the Bills hold serve throughout and get out to a 14-0 lead early courtesy of a Cook TD run and Coleman TD, the Pats respond in the 2nd with a Diggs TD as Maye breaks contain on 3rd and goal and finds him scrambling. Bills get a FG after but the Pats respond with a FG at half to make it 17-10. Out of half the Pats get a FG as the defense again bends but doesn't break and the WNY faithful get nervous, but Josh and the offense go on a 7 min + drive and cap it with a Knox TD to make it 24-13. Maye gets picked off deep on the next drive by Benford and the offense converts it to a FG entering the 4th up 27-13. The Pats get a TD of their own and it is 27-20 with 10 to go in the 4th quarter, but the Bills offense again responds as Moore finally scores on one of those reverses with 5 mins to go to seal the win (Bills miss the XP). Allen 285 yds 2 TDs 23-29 Cook 123 yds 1 TD 18 rushes Coleman 98 yds 5 rec
  3. If they hit their bye 3-3 they can still win the division to the point I have confidence they do. If they are 2-4 I still think they make the playoffs as long as Lamar is back healthy although the division might be a bit of a reach with PIT already 3-1 but you never know. Biggest thing is they can't be 1-5 come bye week. They have a ton of injuries, but if they can just get a W coming up and then heal up through the bye they can get back in it pretty quick with that schedule. WITH all of that said, this is why it is stupid when the NFL media crowns a team as the one to beat with zero blemishes etc. The Ravens had near perfect health last year to the point Barnwell's recent piece covers it was historically good. Variance is real with health and turnovers and no team is flawless. The Ravens to me always were an 11-6/12-5 team because it is extremely difficult even if your great to win 13-14 games year in year out without issue and teams that do typically have a lot of luck mixed in. The bigger question is Harbaugh and if they don't make it or they fail again come post season what happens. They have the look of a team that is fading on confidence with the coach and he has been there an awful long time without breaking through again. I do not get the sense the locker room backs here nearly the way the Bills does with McD who similarly has not broken through with good teams.
  4. We’re at the 4-week mark of the season, which means we’re already a quarter of the way in (noooo). I did this last year—ranking the AFC every 4-5 weeks or so—but I always find early-season rankings tricky. The first four weeks can be totally misleading. So, this is a blend of where teams are now and where I think they’re headed long-term. As always—agree, disagree, tell me I have no brain. 😂 Have fun with it: See You at the AFC Title Game Buffalo – The defense is a work in progress, but with some key injured and suspended players returning, there’s real potential for growth. Overall, they’re a more dangerous team than last year. Kansas City – Immovable object. Rumors of their demise were greatly exaggerated. That said, they’re more flawed than in previous years, and the division looks tougher. Regardless, until someone knocks them out before the AFC Title Game, pencil them in. Contenders LA Chargers – Well-coached and always tough. The offense looks more dangerous with Hampton, and Herbert is playing really well. The question isn’t whether they’ll make the playoffs, but whether they can finally win the division—or at least a playoff game. Are the Ravens Still Contenders...? The preseason darlings of NFL media are now 1-3. They're banged up, lost two close games they couldn’t close, got blown out by another AFC alpha, and now Lamar is hurt. That said, their schedule lightens up. If Lamar plays, they can stack some wins, and the defense will get some guys back. Realistically, though, this version of the Ravens looks like a shell of the teams from the last two years. Even if they win the division, they’ll likely be on the road for two playoff games—probably in Buffalo and/or KC—where they’ve historically struggled. If the offense gets going, they’re still dangerous. I can’t take them fully out of the contender tier, but things aren’t looking great either. Frisky Newcomers Denver – Nix is showing some sophomore-slump signs and may be more of a serviceable starter than a star. Still, there’s talent all over the roster, and they’re one missed FG penalty from being 3-1. If Nix can step up against better competition, they’ll be a tough out. Jacksonville – Coen has the offense clicking, but more importantly, the defense has been stout. Their next three games are against KC, SEA, and LAR (in London), so they’ll have their chances to prove they’re legit. Shades of 2017 all over this team. The Steelers Probably Win This Division, But What's Their Ceiling? Pittsburgh – With the rest of the division dealing with injuries and inconsistency, the Steelers are sitting at 3-1 and in control. The offense is lukewarm with occasional spice, and the defense isn’t the elite unit it used to be. How do they beat KC/BUF/LAC unless those teams self-destruct? Wildcarding New England – Maye has been very solid, which keeps the Patriots in the Wild Card conversation. The defense is inconsistent—stout at times, sieve-like at others. After Sunday Night Football in Buffalo, the schedule softens. They feel like a team that’ll be a sneaky playoff threat by season’s end. Indianapolis – They have the second-best point differential in the AFC and a good win over Denver. 10 wins probably gets a Wild Card spot this year—and in the AFC South, 10 might win the division. Jones has played really well, but can he sustain it for 17 games? "I Self-Ranked Myself a Top 5 QB After My Rookie Year... and It's Been a Tire Fire Since" Houston – I bought into the Stroud hype last year, but between the offensive line issues and consistent, game-changing mistakes, the regression is real. The defense will keep them in games, and the AFC South gives them some margin for error, but this feels like a 7–10 team. By season’s end, they may be asking hard questions at QB. We’re Wrecking Our Second Franchise QB Because We’re Cheap & Have No Team-Building Vision Cincinnati – Burrow going out like this is a huge bummer… but not shocking. He’s been the most-hit starting QB since Andrew Luck. This team should’ve learned from KC that sometimes trading the flashy WR (Higgins) to build a stronger overall roster is the right move. The 2 wins they banked don’t feel like enough for a late push, even if Burrow returns in December. For Bills fans: with Burrow likely missing their game, Buffalo may not face him again until at least 2027. GeNOOOOOOO... 7–10 Raiders Again Raiders – Geno looked like one of the better QBs in terms of accuracy and turnover avoidance in Seattle. Now, he has 7 turnovers in 4 games and two sub-200-yard performances. There was some preseason hype about them being a sneaky Wild Card team, but there’s just not enough talent here. In a weaker division, maybe—but in the AFC West, it’s hard to see a turnaround coming. Bad Teams Without Enough Talent – Already Playing for 2026 Miami – Whatever best-case scenario existed disappeared by halftime of Week 1. The roster lacks talent, and with Hill now out for the year, the offense is even more of a shell. They might claw their way to 3–4 in the coming weeks, but the crash is coming. McDaniel is starting to look like a one-trick pony with no backup plan. Cleveland – There’s a universe where they never traded for Watson, kept Baker, and make the playoffs yearly with a great defense. That’s not this one. The D is being wasted because the offense has no reliable QB, lacks weapons, and can’t protect. Why Myles Garrett re-signed here knowing this roster was already sinking is beyond me. New York Jets – Life comes at you fast. One week you’re almost upsetting the Steelers, and the next you're 0–4 with culture questions. Everyone knew the rebuild would be ugly, but Glenn needs to keep things focused or it could spiral fast. What once looked like a decent foundation now feels barren. Tennessee – 2025 was never the goal here. Ward is taking his rookie lumps. The bigger issue? The effort level isn’t there, and that reflects on the head coach. They need talent, yes—but they also need their recent draft picks to show something. The upcoming schedule (vs ARI, LV, NE, IND) gives them a chance to prove they’re growing.
  5. True with the way things are shaking down that is possible. Personally I would like to see them both at full energy to see how we do.
  6. Bring your brass knuckles because that game is going to be a war between them. Also TB will be Eagles light come Nov, they are no joke and just as fiesty.
  7. 1 - Defensive Line rotation - Agreed. Maybe with Oliver out and Rousseau apparently banged up they are trying to keep things light, but at some point your going to need to settle in more with your best guys. 2 - Bosa - I thought this was a product of trying new things... and we should not be putting him in contain lol. 3 - Walker - The potential is there for all pro talent. Not saying he will get there but the potential exists, he is fun to watch. If Harrison becomes a quality starter Beane will have nailed two more young studs for the future. 4 - Kincaid - I have been critical of Kincaid the last two years and he has leveled up. Good for him. 5 - Bishop - No longer worried about him. Now the other safety spot... sh*t 7 - Cook - I was fine with what they paid him and I am stunned he is playing this well. I truthfully thought a small step back. Credit to him tenfold he is awesome. 8 - 4th and short to Shakir - Curse words were flying at the TV, we got too cute at time we didn't need to. Awful. 9 - Josh 2nd quarter - Through the 3rd quarter Josh had attempted 16 passes. That is too little game plan be damned. I really hope they are holding back and yes Cook is stellar but when they do attack passing wise it is glorious and aggravating they aren't passing that much. 10 - Coaching - I come down on the coaches because they looked like a team that had ten days off, under estimated the Saints who to their credit played really hard and made a real game, and play calls at times like the Shakir play were just mind boggling. The entire team coach to player gets criticized for the lack of effort & emotion which allowed a feisty Saints team to hang around much longer then they should have. My own note: Babich- I would can him now. Fraziers defenses at least vs lower opponents feasted on teams were it would be embarrassing. Babich just seems too much like Dorsey where sometimes its decent but other times he is so behind the opponents OC and he doesn't have answers. The Saints play a quick pace on offense which isn't surprising given Kellen Moore as the head coach. Buffalo looked completely out of sorts for a long time with this. The run defense still is no better no is the 3rd down defense. Does Babich have a quality performance as DC vs a solid opponent at this point? Frazier's defenses may have faded in the post season which is its own issue but they at least had some truly good games vs BALor KC. Babich to me just doesn't have it and while I have been pretty consistent with seeing where the D is when it is healthy come week 10/11 and had time to gel, I just don't think he has the meddle to coach it to the max potential either.
  8. Bills 37 Saints 17 Trubisky plays the 4th, multiple guys with 100 yard receiving and Josh throws 350 4TDs combined.
  9. Honestly I think down the road with the youngsters they have at CB I can see them cutting Tre. He is just not the guy he was, he is serviceable as a CB 4/5 otherwise his flaws show and I would rather some of these young guys get the reps and we see what potential they have. Tre forever makes me sad because he was a HOF caliber player who got years cut off because of freak injuries and that truly sucks.
  10. At this point with the Chiefs I expect we are going to play them in the playoffs and destiny is either beat them finally to get to the promise land or don't. In fact I expect us to lose to KC at home this year and we still beat them for the 1 seed. SO I could really care less what their record is. Baltimore on the other hand I do care because I still think they are the biggest threat we have for the 1 seed and that division went from looking tough to a cupcake real fast. KC's schedule is also far more daunting then BAL at this point. Give me the Ravens at 1-3 so I know we have 2 games on them and I can gleefully enjoy their fans and the media who treated them like the 72 Dolphins in preseason in pure panic mode.
  11. Won't ever happen. Maybeee a closer partnership down the road, but the CFL financial is weak in some markets and having issues in traditional strongholds. If there was ever a time it would have been in the 90s when they actually had a few US markets and they actually really penetrated the market here for a bit. My wife's family had a cottage for 50+ years in Ontario until 2022 so I watched a lot of CFL for a good part of a decade plus and still keep some tabs on it. It is entertaining, but like 35% of what the NFL is. The changes absolutely are designed to improve the game play and quality of the game, but financially they are not a very strong league. They have tried to add a team in Nova Scotia for a while and they do not have the finances or population to make it work. Additionally they changes are being criticized by Canadians for being too American at this time so it hasn't been a smooth transition either.
  12. I got a lot of problems with you people! And now you're gonna hear about it!
  13. Welp looks like I am on team Brady for the first time ever (well maybe the SB vs KC).
  14. There once was a Fish Fort Lauderdale is very sandy Tua f*cking sucks bad
  15. Bills 28 Aquatic Mammals 20 Bills control the game throughout using run to setup some big pass plays as Kincaid & Coleman feast on a weak Miami secondary. The Phins offense hangs around enough that it is 28-17 with 7 minutes to go, but Bosa sacks Tua on 3rd and long to force a FG and the Bills offense runs out the remaining 4 minutes to win a closer game then many thought. Allen 24-30 265 yds 2 TDs 21 yrs rush 1 TD Cook 16 rush 92 yds 32 yds rec Kincaid 94 yds 5 rec 1 TD
  16. I am still rewatching Jets game highlights and this sh*t is posting lol
  17. I would add to this that the NFL has went from having maybe one true freak talented QB a decade who could just do things that weren't able to be duplicated (Elway, Young, Vick, Rodgers) to all the sudden three truly dominant ones in Josh, Lamar, & Mahomes where they do things that should be impossible and even the next crop under that with Daniels, Love, Hurts etc.. are guys that can not only pass but move pretty well. Pocket passers still can dominate as Burrow/Stafford have shown and Goff is certainly in that group too, but when you see a lot of these guys with this wild mobility it has changed the expectations I think people have for many passers.
  18. Jared Goff has proven without good coaching and a solid cast of playmakers he cannot do it on his own which I think is why he always has an asterisk with how good he truly is or isn't given the truly best QBs can make it work in any circumstance. I will give him credit he has improved substantially from LA which I get why McVay traded him and with good coaching/playmakers he is a legit top QB. But like you said the moment he has pressure he is toast and that has forever been his Achilles heal. Also while I am admittedly not a Goff fan I do agree the narratives spun at the trade were also a bit overboard that he was trash etc.. He has proven given him a line with decent weapons and he can do a lot of things. The narrative on QBs these days is nuts and the patience is so thin. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Tua in a new spot with a decent line and coach got it going similar to 22/23, his issue and forever his issue is health.
  19. I reallllyy wish people took the time to actual research things out. When the Lions got Goff he was a cast off and the trade was considered more for the picks media wise for the Lions then Goff himself. The Lions first half of the time with Goff/Ben were trash on offense, but the back half of 2021 they found their form which built into 2022 and continued big time into 23/24. To act like Johnson had nothing to do with it when literally there are legions of articles that said Goff was toast etc.. is hilarious and also reeks of today's what have you done for me now culture. Now will it work for the Bears? The hell that I know because the franchise looks cursed as hell... but I will allow a full season to happen and look at the whole picture before tossing the baby out of the bath water. Caleb has not looked great and the articles about him over summer do not paint a great picture, but if they start winning in the back half and he improves it all doesn't matter. Watching the Cowboys Netflix it was pretty hysterical how year 1 with Jimmy Johnson they went on thinking they were gonna take the world by the horns only to get run over. The NFL takes time (unless you play in the AFC South then who the hell knows) to build a true program up. Last week the Lions sucked and were falling apart now this week their back to being great. It is said the first half of an NFL season is fools gold in general with some teams so now is not the best time for strong takes.
  20. Exactly. Last year they had perfect luck of plays going their way when you needed it most. This year is market correction as shown with Kelce getting hit in the hands at the goal line only to deflect it to the Eagles. They will still probably win 10-12 games, but watching last year they had the largest golden horseshoe I have seen in a long time for a team.
  21. Was going to say the same thing. I'll never forget when people in 2014 I believe said the Pats dynasty was dead when they lost to the Chiefs 41-14 week 4.... they won the SB that year haha. Chiefs will be there come January. Their offense is not in its final form and once Rice/Worthy are back I do think they will have a lot more teeth there. With that said it is hard to be as good as they have been this long without having a down year or two or losing in the playoffs earlier, I do think this is probably their worst roster in a while which still is not saying a lot.
  22. Oh he unfortunately is injury prone, no escaping it at this point. But QBs careers shorten when this is the abuse you take, Luck is a prime example of an elite talent being destroyed to the point he retired because of it. I give Beane a lot of credit for building a solid o line for nearly all of Josh's career and then the same has been there for Mahomes & Lamar too. I think this injury will permanently put Burrow beneath Allen/Mahomes/Lamar as a guy who when healthy is an alpha but that is an issue in itself.
  23. Yep. It is good we have the tie breaker with Baltimore because they have a far easier path to 12-5/13-4 now which probably takes the 1 seed at this moment.
  24. There is a reason Carson Palmer said they would ruin him. Their inability to protect him will end his career far faster then it should which is unfortunate for the game. If it is true he could be back for the last four games of the season though if they can be 6-7 at that point they can still have a shot for the playoffs. That is only 4-7 but their schedule is no joke and they don't have a defense that can win games either.
  25. Hairy Angry Animals 27 Flying Objects 19 The Jets get the ball first and move into the Bills redzone but settle for a FG as the Bills defense has a bend not break type of afternoon. Josh and the offense score TD's on the next two positions with a 30 yard TD to Palmer and Shakir doing his magic breaking a few tackles from 7 yards out. The Jets get a FG before half as Fields is able to escape the pocket and break a 40 yard rush to setup a 50 yard FG making it 14-6 at half time. The Bills get the ball out of half and get into the Jets redzone before a holding call stops a first down run by Davis and the Bills kick a FG to go up 17-6. The Jets get the ball and move down the field with a bunch of runs capped by a Hall TD to close it to 17-13. Josh and the offense return the favor and Davis runs in a TD as the 3rd quarter ends to put the Bills up 24-13. The Jets offense gets a big play from Garrett Wilson on a 40 yard reception to get into the Bills territory and Fields converts a 4th down run to score a TD. The Jets fail on the 2 pt conversion to and the score is 24-19 Bills. The Bills offense runs clock and get into the Jets territory but Praters FG is wide and the Jets get the ball with 7 mins left down by 5. Bosa though forces a sack fumble on Fields and the Bills offense runs the clock before settling for a FG to make it 27-19. The Jets fall on downs and the Bills walk away from a hard earned victory 27-19. Allen 22-28 245 yds 2 TDs 32 yds rushing Davis 87 yds 14 rushes 1 TD 20 yards rec Palmer 103 yds 4 rec 1 TD Bosa 2 sacks 1 TFL 1 FF
