No. At that time he was considered BPA and the issue with Marcel outside of work ethic was contract. Had the contract been more reasonable I think he isn't viewed nearly as flawed during the back half of his time here. I thought I'd feel gunshy when they drafted a CB after just having Gilmore but idk you draft with what you can and it looks like he was BPA and filled a void.

Numbers are not everything and if your looking at just Yds/TDs then yea he won't. Taylor has graded quite highly by top NFL analysts this season thus far especially with the lack of weapons at WR and injuries we have had. Like I said IF the Bills make the playoffs he will get a lot of praise and a state line of 3500 yds 23 TDs with 4 TO's is nothing to snear at in the least and NFL voters won't. Also like I said who is the next best QB after Brady/Watson/Smith? Carr who Taylor and the Bills beat? Big Ben who has 12 TDs to 9 picks and looks old? Mariota who was injured for 2 games and plays in a very offense less dangerous then ours currently? Maybe Andy Dalton I guess..? All I am saying is if the Bills stay on current playoff path Tyrod deserves consideration for the nod and even if he is an alternate it still would be a fair honor to him.

So I started thinking about this yesterday on the ride home from the game of when Pro Bowl selection time comes who the Bills would have selected. While the Bills are 5-2 this really is a team effort and there are 3 guys who at this point I would expect in: LeSean McCoy: Even before his running resurgence the last two weeks he was still on pace for 900 yds rushing and 500 receiving. Now its a lot higher haha. Micah Hyde: Leads the NFL in INT's, is probably the leader of this defense, and has been sensational all over the field this year. TreDavious White: The Bills replaced a Pro Bowl alternate with a guy who deserves to be a Pro Bowl starter. Simply put his play has been remarkable and other then two bad plays against the Bengals no one is beating this guy. Cooper was shut down all day once White was on him. It typically is hard for rookie to crack the lineup in the Pro Bowl, but White and Lattimore from the Saints are playing like exceptions to this rule. The following players are guys I think have a shot or absolutely could be alternates: Richie Incognito: If the running game stays at pace the O Line will get credit and Richie is in general highly respected league wide. Tyrod Taylor: Outside of Buffalo he is highly respected league wide, his numbers are good when you include his rushing stats which is part of his game, and if the Bills make the playoffs he will get a lot of credit for it. Plus after Brady/Watson/Alex Smith who is the fourth best QB currently in the AFC? Tyrod at least can put his name in there. Jordan Poyer: His play and stats reflect a Pro Bowl year. But games played and the odds of two safeties from a team being selected do limit his chances. Add in Hyde being a little higher profile and leading the league in INT's and Poyer is behind him. Not impossible but I think only the Seahawks send that many guys secondary wise. Jerry Hughes: Everything I have read has praised how good Hughes has been at the edge this year between stopping the run and forcing the QB into bad throws. I think he needs to get his sack numbers up to be near or over 10 to really have a chance just because voters like sack numbers.

The single best thing about the current coach and GM is the fact they seem to have a true plan, have excellent attention to detail, and are doing a very sound job at creating a team. You can tank all you want but as the Sabres and Colts have shown if you don't have the organization surrounding to support your guy it will not matter. You can point out your examples like Wentz who was once again traded for pick wise, but your ignoring the fact the best organizations are run well from top down. I would slow down a bit here and use some perspective. The Bills did allow 300 yards against Cincy which inflates their stats but 77 yards of it was an AJ Green TD which he got a rookie (White) to bite on a route and had him by a step them. Tampa Bay has one of the most explosive rosters in terms of offensive talent and Buffalo forced 3 TO's and held them to 27 pts with Gaines out for half the game. I think your a bit jaded because its been 17 years of rough times and we look for trouble anywhere we can as Bills fans because we have become conditioned to. I personally thought they were toast down 27-20 because that was the type of game we always lose despite having numerous chances to win. The secondary will have better weeks coming up and it probably will have a few downers just because its hard to be that good a lot and its still a new defense finding its way. As long as White, Gaines, Poyer, & Hyde are starting I feel pretty confident in what we have and can handle the lumps along the way.

The one shot for Metallica was SB 50 because it was in the Bay Area where they are from and it would've been kick a$$. Andddddd instead they wimped out by going with Coldplay and friends which was godawful.

Assuming PIT/NE/KC win their divisions these 4 are our main competition at this point IMO: HOU/TEN- Very possible with IND cratering they each get to 10 wins OAK- This game is massive in our fate, W goes a long way. MIA- Their defense is solid and if they just keep Moore in I no longer see this as a sweep and instead really tough games These 2 I could are close to being a major issue and a few unexpected W's by either make a problem: JAX- Their QB is still a major ? but their D and RB is legit. Given their ease in schedule I can easily see them at 9 maybe 10 wins CINCY- Tougher schedule but they can win their fair share of games and they own us on tiebreaker so if we are at 9 W's each uh oh These two are darkhorses who I wouldn't put money on or against despite each having flaws: BAL- Their defense is pretty decent and if Flacco ever figures himself back out into a bit of the QB he has been they can win some games. Plus they have won games in the past on the road in tough places like PIT. I am not underselling them yet. LAC- They have gotten back into the picture, have a potentially good-great offense at points, and D can make plays. Their stadium has issues and they have no homefield advantage, but they play anyone tough.

Yea Ballard came in well respected and thought in the NFL. He has had a few months and 7 games to make an impact with Luck out thanks to Grigsons awful O line construction. Depends on how close the lot is and if they are open to having patrols. If I am not mistaken the one piece of legislature that was up saying if you have a private lot you have to allow police inspections failed to pass in the town of OP and county.

Legally how are you going to shut down a private lot. No snark here, truly asking? The Bills, town of OP, Police, & County tried to get legislation through that would've allowed officers to go through private lots to do that and it was knocked down. While the people in private lots do a lot of stupid things, its very hard to say were shutting down the lot because someone jumped through a table thats on fire. You can shut it down if their is underage drinking although that in itself is hard to prove at points. Basically while a lot of this stuff is dumb and at points dangerous there is nothing illegal happening. Like I said its hard for the parties above because legally they don't have a lot of room here when its not public property. Even something like public intoxication won't fly because its private.

I believe this tenfold especially after the barstool video documentary and the way things have been this season. However I will say this, the Bills lots themselves I have never seen a person jump through a table, get lit on fire, list of other crazy stuff etc... It is all a 100% private lots. This unfortunately one of those really tough middle grounds because Bills fans are doing these actions so the team and their lots get associated despite it not happening there. I know the Bills, the town of OP, and county are really frustrated because what is happening occurs on private property and it is incredibly hard for cops to go there and shut it down without cause. And given the fact cops would need a warrant and the constitution has laws against unreasonable search and seizure it really it tricky for them to limit this behavior. I would also add that despite the videos I have thought fan behavior has improved greatly over the last 5-6 years in the stadium and I haven't seen nearly the issues compared to pre 2012. I would also add that perhaps the tipping point of this may have been the fan who was so drunk and died in the creek during the night game. I honestly thought after that you would've seen stronger attempts at curbing fan behavior even though it occurred in a private lot.. Instead it almost seems like open season instead for fan behavior and mix social media into it you have a perfect storm.

Sorry but this is a really poor take. I don't disagree that the D wasn't at its best today, but it shouldnt have been a game given the two turnovers they forced if the offense scored. Second they are the reason we beat Atlanta and in Cincy again gave the offense multiple chances to take the game. If your honestly gonna blast the D for Cincy when they gave the offense multiple chances and White had a learning game against a Top NFL WR idk what to tell you other then stop watching

It's why I am honestly stunned Aaron Rodgers doesn't have at least another Super Bowl and why the 2014 NFC Championship looks/feels like such a failed opportunity for GB in retrospect. He is the best pure QB in the game other then Brady and the NFC only had offered basically Matt Ryan/Romo against him as an equal. Eli and Russell Wilson are a notch below Matt Ryan/Romo to me. He still has time to get another ring or two, but there are a lot of QB's who also had their shot and never got back to a SB again or even got to a SB. And with how open the NFC looks again this year that injury completely sucks for him because I think most had GB as the favorite or one of the Top 3 teams.

Agreed although it is cyclical. The Bills, Chiefs, Dolphins, and Broncos dominated from the mid 80s until 99. The difference to me is the rules allowed QB's to get hit less so guys like Brady, Manning, Big Ben, & Rivers all in the AFC have gotten a life cycle far longer then the previous generations of QB's who melted down around 10-12 years not 13-16 years like we are seeing. Since the 2000 AFC parity really has been a joke. Here is the list of teams from the NFC that have made the SB: PHI, 3x NYG, 2x CAR, ATL, NO, TB, GB, CHI, STL/LA, 3x SEA, SF, & ARZ. 12 of the 16 NFC Teams have made it which is pretty awesome that 75% of your conference has hit that point of success. In regards to the NFC title game only DAL, WSH, & DET have failed to make that in the last 17 years. Now compared to the AFC in SB: NE, PIT, BAL, IND, DEN. A paltry 6 of 16 teams in the AFC only 37%. That really doesn't give much hope or enthusiasm to AFC fan bases and over time only drowns down the energy for teams. It would be nice to see over the next two decades if the AFC could get some more representation for different teams once these guys retire. I myself was honestly not that into the last two SB's given how often Brady and Manning have been around. I think the media likes the story lines of those guys for ratings, but KC or HOU at this point would be a welcome change.

I am going to the Raiders game and I am terrified because they have been so off on offense. I think win or loss against KC it is a tough matchup despite our defense being really good. The only saving grace if your superstitious is the Raiders poor record traveling across the country especially to Buffalo not that I really buy that argument anyway.

If you honestly think that it was intentional thank god you didn't watch football pre 2000 where QB's got lit up routinely Completely disagree. It is hard enough to tackle a QB without a flag as is. At some point you and fans need to accept regardless of what we do to protect players bad hits happen and players will be in vulnerable positions. It's unavoidable. Frankly football fans today are lucky and spoiled with how QB's are not hit and how the stars are playing longer then ever thanks to rule changes so you can see their excellence. Just about every top QB pre-2000 minus maybe Elway got hit in ways that ended seasons frequently or at minimum would take them out for weeks at a time. The 1990 Bills division clinching game was led by Frank Reich against Dan Marino because Kelly got his knee drilled. I'm sure the networks and fans would've preferred Jim vs Dan but it was what it was. Montana was hit so bad in the 1990 NFC championship it messed him up for the following season and a half. Terry Bradshaw's injury in 1980 ended the Steelers dynasty more or less on spot because he was never the same. The last decade and a half has basically been a golden era of QB play and see stars out their without much injury at that position. That was not routine and people are too conditioned that it should be now. I honestly don't care to see football neutered in a way that a QB becomes untouchable which some are basically pushing for now. As is the rule changes in 04 and 07 on QB/WR's made it even harder to win without a top QB because if the limits on hitting players. The last thing I care to see is even more regulation in a game is impossible to fully regulate anyway.

The Raiders remind me of GB the first half of last year. Everyone on their roster was misfiring from Rodgers to Nelson to Adams. They just needed time to realign themselves. The problem for Oakland is GB played a softer schedule and had the ability to lay an egg. Going 0-2 with Carr out and playing in the AFC West has exasperated the situation for the offense and how bad they looked. They frankly have to win the next two no questions asked to stay in the playoff race. A loss to either KC/BUF puts them really far down in tie breakers and record.
