So much of his game is that lower body strength and being able to plow through guys. I'm looking forward to seeing him back. I don't think it's the same as an ACL/Miller situation.

I'm more upset about the allegations than his play. Usually, a torn ACL takes time. We saw it w/ Tre. Players return, but they're not back to their normal selves for awhile - sometimes most of the season that they return in. And he's improved since he first came back. Not dramatically, but he's playing better as time goes on. But the allegations are rough.

We're playing the Patriots as heavy favorites. We're playing for the division, and they'll likely finish in last place.. These are all things that were unheard of when Brady was there. Gotta appreciate these days.

Instant karma for ol' Nick yesterday. Posted after the Bills game that they peaked in 2020 and that he's the "only one" who is right about them. And now his Chiefs - who he thought would go undefeated - have the same record. And his beloved Mahomes has 1 less turnover than Allen, and 13 fewer TD's.

In the old days, when the Patriots had to win & they were playing the Bills - there was simply nothing the Bills could do. It was like a dentist's appointment. Just something we had to get through. Same deal next Sunday, but reversed. The Bills will win, and the Pats won't be able to do a thing about it.

I have always liked Mahomes, which has gotten me a few frowns in Bills' crowds. But since the last game, my opinion of him has taken a nosedive. He's a whining punk. Allen has lost incredibly painful games to the Chiefs, and always showed up aat the end to give them props. Mahomes wilts at the first sign of adversity. He'll never be on Allen's level, imo. After he loses Kelce, it will become much more clear who the better QB is.

We can win the Super Bowl this year. Not that we WILL. But I think this is the first time I've felt like we're as good as anyone.

Barmore is pretty amazing. He just bull rushes & overpowers.

Kicking is so weird. It's one of those things a lot of people can physically do - but the mental aspect is bigger than almost any other position. Once you lose confidence, it snowballs. It's happened so many times. Feel bad for that dude. Not a fun xmas eve for him.

With my "birth" family, it was ridiculous. The presents would spread out from the tree & fill half the living room. It took us 3+ hours to open 'em, and we took a break for brunch in between. With my "married" family, it's much more low-key. Basically 1 gift per person. I like both. No rules at xmas.

If people want to be relentlessly negative, I don't really have a problem w/ it. But I'm not down w/ eyerolling or giving the thumbs down on posts that are more positive. We disagree on what this team is. They're inconsistent - but when they're on their game, they're as good as any team.

I actually have no worries about the Pats tonight. They're at home, and they're really not that bad - a lot of close losses. Belichick still has some pride. They're winning.

Phins aren't real. The Ravens are. We'll get our division shot.

Refs call that phantom hold on Morse yesterday - but miss a textbook hold that they could have shown in football class on a crucial play today. I genuinely hate officiating. I hate it.

Should have been holding on that play - BLATANT holding. Refs missed a few in this game today.

Coaches tend to overcomplicate things.

The Cowboys are NOT serious contenders. They fooled the league for a few weeks there.

Dallas and Miami really are both frauds. But Dallas can still take this. They need a turnover.

We didn't lose to the Jags. We lost to Goodell.

Great day except for that Cowboys turnover. Which, admittedly, was a downer.

It reminded me of the Jets, Pats & Broncos games. A game where we were clearly the better team, but gave the other team a lot of points via turnovers, and self-destructed on our own drives with penalties (in addition to turnovers). Hair-pulling frustration for most of the game - not enjoyable to watch, and basically just an exhale of relief when the clock hit 0. That said - Allen had some absolutely epic throws. Just superman, physics-defying, game-changing plays.
