Coaches tend to overcomplicate things.
-
The Cowboys are NOT serious contenders. They fooled the league for a few weeks there.
-
Dallas and Miami really are both frauds. But Dallas can still take this. They need a turnover.
-
We didn't lose to the Jags. We lost to Goodell.

Merry Christmas!

Great day except for that Cowboys turnover. Which, admittedly, was a downer.
-
It reminded me of the Jets, Pats & Broncos games. A game where we were clearly the better team, but gave the other team a lot of points via turnovers, and self-destructed on our own drives with penalties (in addition to turnovers). Hair-pulling frustration for most of the game - not enjoyable to watch, and basically just an exhale of relief when the clock hit 0. That said - Allen had some absolutely epic throws. Just superman, physics-defying, game-changing plays.

The Browns have flown under the radar - but they're gonna be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs.

Did anyone get a lump in their throats...

They showed it afterwards, too - and talked about how that lane was open. That would have been cruel. -
Oh, I feel great. Because I know how I would have felt if we didn't pull it out. Winning ugly is still winning. It means nothing in the scheme of things - many championship teams have multiple games like that. The key is winning it - we've won the last couple of close ones, which bucks our usual trend, and hopefully starts a new one.

Why is it so hard for fans to admit reality?

It's a real testament to how spoiled we are not that many here think that was a bad game from JA. He made at least 3 absolutely jaw-dropping throws, and had a solid game overall. 2 very good throws were taken away by ridiculous penalties on what was likely going to be a drive that would have put the game away. It wasn't a great game for him. But it was pretty good. -
Goes without saying - but that game is a blowout without turnovers & penalties. We can win a SB if we tighten it up, or lose in the WC round if we don't.

I like that we're winning more close games. That's all I've got right now.

Eisen "Don't let the Bills in the playoffs"
Success replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
The AFC is a relative cakewalk this year. As we know, our team could lose to anyone. But there is no team in the AFC that scares me, like the Chiefs of the past few years. The Ravens are alright, but if both teams play their best game, the Bills win. The SB is a different story. It feels like the Niners' year, and they are truly an elite team. But getting there could be an easier path than we've had in the JA era to this point. If we make it. -
I bake my wings. Yeah - I said it. And they turn out great. Louisiana hot sauce + butter + cayenne + salt & pepper. Homemade blue cheese is always best, but in a pinch, a top tier brand will always do. We make fun of ranch, but I truly don't understand it. It's a distracting flavor - it's not complementary, like blue cheese. There is only one choice there for sure. And for the sake of pete, no breading. I like breaded chicken in other forms, but when it comes to wings, it doesn't work.

This is such a "take care of business" game. As many have said - w/ the Chargers' injuries, there are simply no excuses. Honestly, if we lose, I'll be disappointed - but it will be proof positive that we don't deserve anything this year. But the good news is that we won't lose. This team has found their identity with Brady at OC. This will be a great Saturday night showcase to let the league know we're really back, and gearing up for a good run.

Under inflated K balls in Pats v Chiefs game
Success replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Patriots will always be the team I have the most disdain for - in any sport, and for all time. -
If Keenan Allen doesn't play, this should be a slam dunk. The Bills just have to show up in the next 2 games. We've shown we can lose to ANYONE, but it's all about taking each game seriously, focusing, and playing with purpose. They can no longer "play down to the level." Put this game away early. It has to be a no nonsense approach in this home stretch.

The Vibe of this Team feels different… to me at least

I wish we had SOME margin for error at this point - but in a way, that might serve us well in January or February. Since Philly, every game has basically been an elimination game, and every game from here on out will be the same. It will be old hat by the time they get to the playoffs. -
Bills/Niners in the SB. Bills win, 31-20. You're welcome..

We have used up our mulligans. The bottom line is that if we can't beat the Chargers & then the Pats - we do NOT deserve to get in. We've lost to too many bad teams this year. Allowing the Pats to sweep us, at home, w/ Zappe? Losing to an interim coach and a backup QB whose name I hadn't heard until last week? It's just not allowed. Not for the team who could be the "most dangerous" if they get in the playoffs. Obviously, the Miami game is tougher. But get there without another loss, and I really like our chances.

The one for the 1st TD wasn't really much of a flop - I don't think he fell on purpose. He shouldn't have pointed to his facemask, but the fall was legit imo.
