Not me. It has been a frustrating season - but the drought the Bills went through is something I've internalized, so just having a competitive team and top QB is enough to get me excited every Sunday. And I'm still hopeful w/ this team. I think we can get on a run & make it to the playoffs. And if we don't, I'll still be stoked about next season and glad to not have to go through the QB angst that defined every offseason between Kelly & Allen.

Should have said top 15. I used to think top 10, but that's changed w/ some of the great QB's over the past 15+ years. But I think he's top 15. -

I'd rank Mahomes higher right now. But it's pretty close. My original point was more that nationally, Mahomes gets much more leeway for bad play. -

I think they are - for a LOT of reasons. Kelly isn't really in the conversation, but I consider him top 10. Marino has a real argument, for any fan of the game. Clutch play is a big part of ranking - and both Brady and Montana won so much, because they were BOTH so clutch. They made plays when it counted. That, right now, is not a differentiator between Mahomes & Allen. If anything, I think Allen was a bit more clutch in the 13 seconds game, though it's close. Winning does matter - but not to the point where Dilfer is better than Marino, or Eli is better than Fouts. We're still in the 1st third or so of both careers. Mahomes has titles - but he has also had better coaching, more well-constructed teams, and more luck to this point. Skill-wise, I'd still take Allen over Mahomes. And the time to really judge who is "better" is when they're both done. -

You can talk about perception. I'll talk about reality. -

I try to be objective when it comes to Mahomes & Allen comparisons. But since they both started, I think it's fairly obvious: when Mahomes doesn't play well, it's excuse city. When Allen doesn't play well, it's, a ha! We were right about him on draft day. -

Yeah - you're right. That's unpopular. -
It’s Chiefs week - and the season is on the line

With the Chiefs being so banged up, and the Bills coming off a bye, and this basically being an elimination game for the Bills - there are simply no excuses. This has to be a W. If it's not, the team is not a serious contender in 2023. -
Calling it now: Bills are going to at least reach the AFCCG

McD's last comment (from what I recall) is that there is a decent chance Jones is back, but it's more slim for Milano. Either would be a bonus. I think we made some good additions w/ Douglas & Joseph, and if we can stay relatively healthy from here on out, our D is good enough to get us over the top. -
Mac Jones misery (a salacious read)

MHJ would be the smart pick. It depends who is in charge of the draft for the Pats. I doubt BB would take either of the top prospects at QB. -

Team game. JA played great & was the main reason we were in that game. -

Bigtime chess move from McD. Keeps New England out of the top spot in the draft, so they'll pick Maye, who has a few more "this guy could be a bust" qualities than Williams. Though, both might not pan out that well (imo). -

I agree w/ the OP. The schedule looks formidable, but if you break it down, these are all games we should & can win. I like our chances. And I'd add that having the playoffs start this Sunday, with basically 5 elimination games before the actual playoffs start, will serve us well. Like anything else, the more you practice, the better you get. If "win or the season ends" is part of the mindset from here on out, by the time we get to round 1, the team will be mentally much tougher than they have been in previous years. At least in theory. -
Before yesterday, I was pretty confident 10-7 would do the trick. But Cincy's win & the Jags losing Lawrence throws a wrench into things.

If we beat the Chiefs, I'm feeling good. I like the match-up w/ Dallas, especially at home. Chargers & Pats should be W's, unless we continue to lose games that there is no way we should lose (possible, but unlikely imo). And if we're heading into that final week on a run and needing the win to make the playoffs, that's all we can ask. Obviously, we can beat Miami - we usually do. It will be a tough game, but they could be resting starters at that point too. -
Chance of Playoffs now, according to NYT simulator

If we win out, we're making the playoffs. I don't know how they're deriving that 47%. -

The Pats won 6 Super Bowls without big talent at the skill positions. I don't think there is one formula. -
Man, I really forgot how much I hated looking at all of the other teams & the math this far from the end of the season!

I always root for the wrong stuff anyway. Maybe this was the best result. Jax only has a 1 game lead in their division now. They could spiral down, especially if Lawrence misses multiple games.. All I really know at this point is that the Bills need to win games, and win them w/ great frequency.

I disagree. Cincy played better - especially when it counted. If Boyd doesn't throw that pick, Cincy probably wins pretty easily.
