  1. With the Chiefs being so banged up, and the Bills coming off a bye, and this basically being an elimination game for the Bills - there are simply no excuses. This has to be a W. If it's not, the team is not a serious contender in 2023.
  2. It's really no mystery why he gets booed loudly during the draft...
  3. McD's last comment (from what I recall) is that there is a decent chance Jones is back, but it's more slim for Milano. Either would be a bonus. I think we made some good additions w/ Douglas & Joseph, and if we can stay relatively healthy from here on out, our D is good enough to get us over the top.
  4. MHJ would be the smart pick. It depends who is in charge of the draft for the Pats. I doubt BB would take either of the top prospects at QB.
  5. Team game. JA played great & was the main reason we were in that game.
  6. Bigtime chess move from McD. Keeps New England out of the top spot in the draft, so they'll pick Maye, who has a few more "this guy could be a bust" qualities than Williams. Though, both might not pan out that well (imo).
  7. I agree w/ the OP. The schedule looks formidable, but if you break it down, these are all games we should & can win. I like our chances. And I'd add that having the playoffs start this Sunday, with basically 5 elimination games before the actual playoffs start, will serve us well. Like anything else, the more you practice, the better you get. If "win or the season ends" is part of the mindset from here on out, by the time we get to round 1, the team will be mentally much tougher than they have been in previous years. At least in theory.
  8. Before yesterday, I was pretty confident 10-7 would do the trick. But Cincy's win & the Jags losing Lawrence throws a wrench into things.
  9. If we beat the Chiefs, I'm feeling good. I like the match-up w/ Dallas, especially at home. Chargers & Pats should be W's, unless we continue to lose games that there is no way we should lose (possible, but unlikely imo). And if we're heading into that final week on a run and needing the win to make the playoffs, that's all we can ask. Obviously, we can beat Miami - we usually do. It will be a tough game, but they could be resting starters at that point too.
  10. If we win out, we're making the playoffs. I don't know how they're deriving that 47%.
  11. The Pats won 6 Super Bowls without big talent at the skill positions. I don't think there is one formula.
  12. Man, I really forgot how much I hated looking at all of the other teams & the math this far from the end of the season!
  13. I always root for the wrong stuff anyway. Maybe this was the best result. Jax only has a 1 game lead in their division now. They could spiral down, especially if Lawrence misses multiple games.. All I really know at this point is that the Bills need to win games, and win them w/ great frequency.
  14. I disagree. Cincy played better - especially when it counted. If Boyd doesn't throw that pick, Cincy probably wins pretty easily.
  15. Yep - the Bengals won't fold after this game if they lose, and they've found a little something with Browning. And they'll play hard against the Browns & Steelers no matter what. Definitely a Jags fan tonight.
  16. I was being a little goofy w/ the 2nd line. Bo Callahan was the hyped up QB prospect in the movie "Draft Day" who Kevin Costner's GM character has reservations about drafting. If I was Kraft, I'd bring in a new coach to go w/ the new QB, and start a brand new era. But here's hoping that whoever they pick as their QB doesn't work out (and there is more of a chance that he won't, going by draft history).
  17. And missing on a QB w/ a top pick can set an organization back for years. Williams gives me Bo Callahan vibes.
  18. Super Bowl winners come in all shapes & sizes. We've been the fave - or at least one of them. It hasn't worked to this point. Maybe sneaking in and flying under the radar will serve the team well in January & February.
  19. They're really sliding. And while their schedule after us looks relatively easy, it really isn't - the Raiders & Chargers can give them fits (as division opponents do), and I think Cincy can give them a good fight in Cincy, considering the revenge factor for the playoff game. Man, would it be wild if after everything, we finished w/ the same record or better.
  20. We're more desperate, we're coming off a bye, they're pretty banged up - if we can't win this one, this simply isn't the year. It's a game we have to win, and we should win.
  21. So, we win next week - and we're one game back of the Chiefs? What a season!
  22. Oh, no - what could be wrong with Patrick Mahomes?
  23. Chiefs game is everything. I'll feel pretty good if we can get that W.
  24. It's inexplicable why he didn't go out of bounds there. I don't get that.
