Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas

I was already staying away from sports media & other fan boards since the Philly game. I might have to make that permanent. -
Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas

Man, part of the reason they brought him in was because of his leadership. This incident sounds so ugly. If proven true, I absolutely hope they cut him without hesitation.. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
Success replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
There simply isn't an injury excuse right now. Our injuries seemed bad because we lost 3 top players at once, but at this point in the season, most teams have lost at least 2-3 key players. And Beane addressed some of the losses by adding Douglas and Joseph, who are both playing really well, as is Bernard & the LB crew in general. No excuse whatsoever. Agree w/ your post - McD will be back if we make the playoffs, and I'd even argue he would deserve to be if he's able to navigate this gauntlet of games and really put a run together. But if we miss, they have to make a change. We can't keep losing years of JA's prime. They can look to how it went by replacing Dorsey. It's only 2 games, but that is a different offense that we're seeing now. -
Addressing the "Josh Allen is TO machine" narrative

I didn't see it as a back-breaking pick. I actually can't believe how much is being made of that pick. We took the lead again after that. The level of play outside of that ONE PICK was outstanding. I watch KC games and see Mahomes throw similar picks, and they don't always = losses. I get holding JA to a high standard because of his contract. But "perfect" is a bit too high of a standard. -

'kay. I actually like the other thread better. -
Easily one of my top 5 favorite Bills of all time. Love the commitment and passion. I've never seen him give less than 100% - not that I focus on him for entire games, but he just doesn't mail it in.

I mean, EVERY GM has some moves that simply don't pan out. I liked those signings at the time. Doesn't change the fact that in terms of talent & balance, we're pretty much on par w/ anyone else in the league. I feel like we could have the same record as Philly right now. The fact that we don't has little to do w/ Beane or the talent level.
-
I don't blame Beane at all for how this season has gone. I said before the season that this '23 team was the best we've had since the '90's - and still believe that. Philly could easily win the SB, and we should have won that game (hate saying that about any game - but I doubt many would disagree w/ me). In that game and others, we've seen how good this team CAN be. It's not Beane's fault when they fail to reach that potential.

We're Going To The Playoffs. (edit: Updated - Super Bowl)

Huh? The Jets game wasn't close. Allen carried the team against Philly. Other than that, great post. -
I get thinking that might be the record if a fan thinks the team is falling apart - but "realistically" is not at all accurate. There is a very slim chance the team falls apart like that. We're a 6-6 team that talent-wise is on par w/ the top teams. Only about 2-3 teams are likely to win only one game the rest of the way, and those are really the dregs of the league.

Most BILLSY thing we are about to do to end the season

Chiefs fans actually like that guy. If the Bills had a "national" guy who talked like he does, I'd just be embarrassed. -
Kneel Down Game: Final Nail in McD’s Coach Coffin
Success replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
This Philly game was tough. We didn't dominate the game - but we played better than the Eagles, and led for most of the game. It really just felt like we found a way to lose. Even Eagles fans online seemed shocked by how they pulled it out. -
Chance of Playoffs now, according to NYT simulator
Success replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we CAN get through the rest of the season with 1 loss. I also wouldn't rule out running the table, but no team can ever count on that. Weird things always happen (and if you're the Bills, they happen more frequently). I agree about the offense, and it's actually a bit painful to see them play like we expected now. It's only 2 games, so too early to make a definitive conclusion - but it seems like Dorsey's O held us back and likely cost us a game or 2. It starts with KC, which seems oddly appropriate. Get the win there, and we can start believing a little. -
Disagree 100% on this one. Pats gave the Eagles & Dolphins fits in the 1st 2 games, and the D has played tough most of the season. But all that aside, it's a division game. Division games can be very unpredictable. Brady owned the Bills, but throughout those years, the Bills played some very hard-fought games against the much more talented Pats teams. The Pats loss bothered me because it was the Pats, but the Bills other 5 losses were all worse.

But, we all know that if they DO go 11-6, they're in. So, there's that.

I don't know if we are or aren't. We're as good as any other team - but we also find remarkable ways to lose at times. But it makes no sense for me as a fan to not believe there is at least a good possibility right now, despite all that has happened. I think the board was unanimous that we needed to take 2 of the current set of 3 games - Philly, KC & Dallas. If we can beat KC, I'd feel at least okay about Dallas at home. They can do it. I just don't know if they will. But I'm not thinking about the draft just yet. -
Gonna sign off 'til tomorrow. Just want to say - when the day started, I never imagined I'd feel this gutted at the end of it. I thought we might lose, but once again - it's the way we lost. But I'm really glad to have this board, and even though I don't know any of you in "real" life, this is a great support group, and good therapy. At the end of a trying day, I'm truly appreciative of that. Whatever I'm going through, there are a bunch of people like me going through pretty much the same thing, & they get it.

At this point, it almost doesn't matter if McD has had bad luck, or really does pull defeat from the jaws of victory. It has become ingrained in this team while he is HC. If every one of us fans is thinking "how are we going to mess this up" w/ a few minutes left & a lead, it's a good bet the players have a similar mindset. It continues until we string together a few improbable wins, or have a change at HC.

I mean, that was the game right there. Plenty of blame to go around. But Allen's frustration after that play, and I think Davis threw his helmet on the sideline. Just a lapse at the worst possible time.

I like how we're playing, at least. (sigh) Guess there is nothing to do but see how it plays out. If we beat the Chiefs, that's all I wanted out of this stretch - 1 of 2. I'd like our chances against the Cowboys at home. If we can win the next 2, it will change my outlook and a lot of other fans'.. Right now just feels like deja vu all over again. I wish our deja vu was winning classic games, but it ain't that.
