24 Hour Later Thoughts... Even a DEEP Thought
Success replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree on that last part. Need to win at least 1 of the next 2. Lose to both Philly & KC, and they'll have to run the table after that to have a shot. I'm not even positive 10-7 does it w/ our conference record, but it should given the strength of the WC competition. Great write-up. -
"Beating the teams you should beat" has really been a nemesis for the Bills in recent years. Usually, we have one loss on the schedule that is a head-scratcher; this year, we've got a few. We put ourselves in this position, and now we just have to fight our way out. Outside of division leaders, I feel like we're significantly better than all of the teams we have to surpass - especially the teams who would get the WC if the season ended today. What a weird season. All we can do is hope. It's been awhile since I had a Sunday like yesterday, where I was watching at least 4-5 of the games w/ keen interest.

Outlook on McDermott if we turn it around
Success replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure if anyone has noticed - but McDermott calls a pretty good defense. While you need more out of a HC than that, it's not a bad foundation. There are a lot of bad coaches in the league. With a good OC, I think McD can succeed. And if he turns it around this season and we finish strong, he of course has to stay. -
That's my take. A solid day. I definitely wanted the Browns to win that game, and the Chargers losing was a plus. The Texans or Dolphins losing would have been pretty improbable - but both came close. Even though Denver has the head-to-head, I don't see them as a real threat. Solid week for sure. But we have to keep winning - take 1 of the next 2 at minimum.

Man, is the AFC WC race bunched up. We just have to keep winning.

Dobbs is just fun to watch. Seems like a competitor..

My impression when he was put on IR was that it wasn't for the whole year. It's an ankle injury, right?

The Good, The Sad, The Ugly, The Joe Brady Era Begins Edition
Success replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Romo was rough today. Sometimes I don't mind him - but he starts talking and keeps going at times, and when there is an injury or penalty, you're left just trying to figure it out for yourself while he's babbling on about something unrelated. -
I mean, if we lost to BOTH Philly & KC...who cares? That basically means we can't beat the top teams. We have to at least split those games. No choice.
-
I feel some confidence about 10-7, and agree. I mean, if we can't go 5-2 the rest of the way - we really don't deserve to get in. Split the next 2 games, and things will be looking pretty good. Win the next 2 games, and it's looking like a lock.

Will a win over the Jets to get to 6-5 bring everyone back in?!?!

Man, do I want to see Philly & KC play the most hard-hitting, physical and emotional game of the year tomorrow. -
Dalton Kincaid: Beane's best pick since Allen?
Success replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh, for sure. I think Beane has been a solid drafter. But Kincaid has that potential to be a top tier guy at his position. -
He gets separation, has great hands, and very good YAC. Mismatch for opposing D's, and when Knox comes back will be even more of a threat. I see a guy w/ potential to be like Kelce. Not AS good, since Kelce is the GOAT or close to it - but the same kind of 24x7 outlet for Allen. Thoughts?

Concussions are tough this year. Seems like most cases, players miss at least a game. Hope he can make it back, but if not, it's the ol' next man up. This D is still very good.

I never left. But it is ALL down to these next 2 games. Lose both, and it's over. Win one, and we're on life support. Win both, and we're back to being legit SB contenders, and should make the playoffs barring a collapse. Which, admittedly, is hard to bar w/ this team.. Color me excited. I love the challenge, and hope the team is embracing it also. -
It's all down to Philly & the Chiefs now. When the Bills are on their game, they're as good as anyone. I'm feeling some confidence heading into next week.

You're not actually a Bills fan....correct?

We can beat Philly. It's worth saying again: We can beat Philly.
