Well summarized. Obviously, some is self-inflicted, but other aspects are just like, "I've never believed in this curse thing, but...." It's enormously frustrating to be a fan of a team that you know is better than at least 3 teams that are likely to make the playoffs, when your team is likely to miss. Such a weird season. I was as dismayed by this as most here - but I also think he's a pretty average coach in today's league. He's certainly not a bad coach - we're IN every single game at this point. He gameplans well. He generally coaches well in-game, but his undoing has been late in the close games. A lot of people don't remember, but Reid had a similar reputation in Philly, and those fans wanted him out of there. Seems kind of crazy now - he's the best coach in the league today. Not saying McD will have the same trajectory, but he might figure out the "close game" thing, or at least improve at it. I mean, if a kicker didn't hit a pretty improbable 60 yarder in the rain, we'd be singing some praises for him on beating the best team in the league at their place, in a close one.

I've seen so much more than that NOT called. It didn't impact the ability to catch. The refs gave Dallas that TD drive.

I mean, refs have to consider what they're giving the other team on those calls. Close to 50 yards for a hand on the shoulder that didn't impact anything.

There simply isn't an injury excuse right now. Our injuries seemed bad because we lost 3 top players at once, but at this point in the season, most teams have lost at least 2-3 key players. And Beane addressed some of the losses by adding Douglas and Joseph, who are both playing really well, as is Bernard & the LB crew in general. No excuse whatsoever. Agree w/ your post - McD will be back if we make the playoffs, and I'd even argue he would deserve to be if he's able to navigate this gauntlet of games and really put a run together. But if we miss, they have to make a change. We can't keep losing years of JA's prime. They can look to how it went by replacing Dorsey. It's only 2 games, but that is a different offense that we're seeing now.

I didn't see it as a back-breaking pick. I actually can't believe how much is being made of that pick. We took the lead again after that. The level of play outside of that ONE PICK was outstanding. I watch KC games and see Mahomes throw similar picks, and they don't always = losses. I get holding JA to a high standard because of his contract. But "perfect" is a bit too high of a standard.

Easily one of my top 5 favorite Bills of all time. Love the commitment and passion. I've never seen him give less than 100% - not that I focus on him for entire games, but he just doesn't mail it in.

I mean, EVERY GM has some moves that simply don't pan out. I liked those signings at the time. Doesn't change the fact that in terms of talent & balance, we're pretty much on par w/ anyone else in the league. I feel like we could have the same record as Philly right now. The fact that we don't has little to do w/ Beane or the talent level.

I don't blame Beane at all for how this season has gone. I said before the season that this '23 team was the best we've had since the '90's - and still believe that. Philly could easily win the SB, and we should have won that game (hate saying that about any game - but I doubt many would disagree w/ me). In that game and others, we've seen how good this team CAN be. It's not Beane's fault when they fail to reach that potential.

It would be fantastic if they could shut the national media up. They did it before. After the "wind game," everyone was saying the Pats had taken the division back, and the Bills were yesterday's news. And that turned out to be our best run.

To me, the ratio part is the most important. JA knows how to score TD's.

The thing is, we have put runs like this together in the past. And this team is better than past teams (imo). No one is blowing us out. We can definitely do it. I have no idea if we actually will, but I'm not looking at the draft yet.

I get thinking that might be the record if a fan thinks the team is falling apart - but "realistically" is not at all accurate. There is a very slim chance the team falls apart like that. We're a 6-6 team that talent-wise is on par w/ the top teams. Only about 2-3 teams are likely to win only one game the rest of the way, and those are really the dregs of the league.
